This community is by far the BEST assisted living in Southern California. The owners are very involved with care and making sure things are running smooth. I am an employee at City View. The way the administrator and owners speak to residents and families is excellent. If an issue arises it is taken care of ASAP. Excellent caregiver and med techs. They treat their employees excellent. We do fun things. Care is priority. Im addition there has been a lot of remodeling!! I will never go anywhere else to work. Everyone is like family. You guys are stuck with me for the next 30years.

My mother has been in assisted living for several months now. She has some memory issues but is still able to coexist within the regular community. I would attribute this to the staffs understanding and professional demeanor. She is happier and healthier now than shes been for several years because of the stimulation and interaction she gets from the city view community and lovely caring staff. I researched dozens of facilities and I highly recommend Cityview, they have given our family a sense of security and relieved a ton of pressure for us.

My father recently moved into assisted living at CityView and he is extremely happy with his new home. His transition to this new life was much easier than I ever imagined it could be. He has quickly made many friends both among the residents and staff. He enjoys many CityView activities including music, games, Shabbat services and the Walking Club. He also raves about the food. I live nearby and am on the premises often. I have observed every staff member Ive encountered to be friendly, caring, helpful and hard working. While in the planning stages before my dads move I had many worries, but the CityView staff understood my concerns and did an incredible job problem solving and strategizing to make the move go smoothly. Though my dad is now settled in, the staff remains diligent about supporting his needs, tailoring as the days move along to provide individualized service that keeps him thriving.

My grandma stays at this facility and I recently went to go visit and check everything out. She loves it there. We went to eat at the restaurant. It was very well kept. Our server was Rogelio. He was amazing! Very friendly and professional. It was very busy and he seemed alone and still gave an amazing experience. Was very pleased.

My daughter and I visited City View in December of last year (2017), we were looking for a facility that was capable of handling my specific needs. When we arrived, the Activites Director took it upon himself to guide us through the entire facility. We were impressed by the cleanliness and the ambiance throughout. Although we did not have an opportunity to eat in the main dining room, the menu displayed included a wide variety of choices and were pleased to discover that there were no restrictions in other meals, if we so chose to do so.We found a room with a beautiful view of the mountains and immediately reserved it for occupancy. There were some additional construction items necessary, and when I returned the modifications were complete and to my surprise furniture was available at no extra cost until my belongings came from Hawaii.In short, my experience has been excellent; I would highly recommend City View to anyone seeking a facility for a loved one.

The food a City View is very good. I am very happy with Judah the activities director here and the activities that he leads. I am also really happy that we have Shabbat services. The new management did a wonderful job remodeling the building especially the rooftop deck. I am also very happy with all the staff at city view.

Im just noticing that all the negative reviews are from the same time frame and are undoubtedly in regard to the same resident (the camera, etc.). Interesting. A friend of mine whos considering moving her mother into City View asked me how I could recommend them with negative reviews. So I took a look! WOW! When I, or my daughter, sit down with my mom and the other residents for lunch, we get the full rundown, unfiltered, about the latest happenings at City View. NONE of these accusations are bandied about. I mean, none. The staff is stellar. Theyre patient, theyre loving, yet professional in their demeanor. As far as the food goes, they just got a fabulous new chef around two months ago, so I cant imagine why there would be a complaint. Further, the residents werent happy with the previous chef, and their complaints were HEARD and taken seriously. The Director, Murielle, well, this place is her life. She takes the welfare and the happiness of the residents extremely seriously. This is not just a job for her; this is a calling. Id be interested to know what kind of behavior shes had to tolerate from the people who are so up in arms. Actually, Im not really interested, lol, just disgusted. They might scare away someone whos looking for an active social life, new friends, and great care. Thats reprehensible, frankly.

My mother Eva Rich had lived in her same apartment in West Hollywood for over 59 years. She was very reluctant to move. When I took her to City View we met Muriel the administrator. We were given a tour and viewed a few apartments. Everybody that we met that 1st day made me and most importantly my mother feel accepted. We made a decision that day to rent an apartment. We moved my mother in shortly after my wife and I decorated her new apartment. It was beautiful. My mother met other residents in the dining room and she made new friends immediately. My mother needed help with her medications and also some help bathing witch was provided. Assistance was provided as much as was required so as to keep my mom as mobile as possible. All the care givers treated my mother with caring hands and dignity. It took my mom about a month to feel comfortable and at home. She enjoyed going to meals and she made great friends. The last 7 months of her life were the best for her since the passing of her husband 4 years ago. I will never be able to thank all the staff at City View enough. My mother was a perfectionist. She loved cleanliness and she loved good food which was provided by a very good chef and great housekeeping.I read a particular review that was so negative that I felt disgusted. This person who wrote that review must have ulterior motives and her review (and many other negative reviews she writes should not be considered as credible.

Im very pleased with the level of care that my father receives at CityView. Hes made friends with the residents and he really enjoys the staff members. I feel they go out of their way to create a safe and enjoyable environment.Theres a rooftop patio where staff members conduct monthly get-togethers, socials. Its a beautiful space and it lets residents get out in the fresh air. This is in addition to all of the other activities the staff members put together.

I met with, toured, spoke at length with, and even called and spoke to client, family references regarding CityView for the care of my mother. Like everyone else on this site that may be considering a facility I take it very seriously and read all the reviews everywhere and also call references and speak with them at length. I encourage you to do so and to read the data for City View on the CA Dept. of Social Services website. It is listed under two words with their address on La Brea and matching License #. There are NO citations. NO complaints. Do not mistake them for other City Views in other cities. In no way did I find this assisted living, memory care facility to be anything but the excellent home with a superior caring staff so predominately spoken of.The Executive Director, Murielle Chocron, was kind, professional, and did not have an air about her as some other reviewer stated. It is obvious that Murielle is very intelligent, educated, and knows what she is doing plus she is very compassionate and sincere. I dont know about you but that is the kind of director I want to see where my mother lives. Ive now seen and toured over a dozen facilities and my mother has lived at several. Unfortunately, her disease is progressing more than one can imagine so Ive had to move her as it progresses. It is heartbreaking.Because the negative reviews did not match what I was hearing or seeing, I decided to do my own research on these negative reviewers themselves. I suspected that they must be coming from the same disgruntled family group and I guess their friends since the date range is exactly the same. And that is when I discovered that 95% of their other Yelp reviews for other establishments (everything from other senior residential homes that I know are good to restaurants to store owners to vendors) are beyond negative & critical of everything including the Post Office. This is ridiculous and unfortunate that there are people who find the need to basically slander an establishment for their own enjoyment.To be clear, I very seriously considered CityView and their Memory Care facility. In fact, I was about to move her there. The only reason she isnt is because my mothers doctors just told me they want her now to be at a much smaller residential home with 4-6 residents only as her disease is unfortunately progressing quite quickly. More so than I realized. If this was not the case shed be there. Do not let the negative reviews mess with your head. It is an excellent facility. Do your research. I highly recommend it.

I visit here often and Cityview seems like a beautiful place to live! Its in a great central location and has an amazing rooftop deck with 360 degree views of LA. All the staff that Ive met have been very nice & the residents seem happy. Theres always a great schedule of activities available; everything from chair yoga to art and live music.

After touring many facilities and conducting a lot of research, it was clear that CityView was by far the best assisted living facility for my mom. Murielle, the executive director, has made it her mission to making sure that CityView is the best assisted living facility for a loved one to live at. The upscale facility is beautifully decorated and clean, the food is great, and the staff is caring and attentive. Most significantly, Murielle and her staff pride themselves on making sure that every residents needs are taken care of and as a result the residents love it there! I couldnt be happier that I found a place that not only my mom loves, but a place where I know my mom is exceptionally cared for.

What makes City View Villas stand out is Murielle and her staff do an excellent job in not only providing good care and activities for the residents in both the assisted living and their memory care area, they proactively contact the families if they think someone of concern may be happening. This translates into the best possible care and environment for those living there. Ive had excellent feedback from family members who had loved ones placed there who can be very challenging at times.Our team has full confidence when placing someone at City View Villas.

CityView is my second home here in LA, I go at least once a week to visit and volunteer. Ive built such strong relationships with a lot of the residents. Theyre always so cheerful and happy. The staff is incredible, always very welcoming and friendly Ive seen go above and beyond to make the residents smile which really means a lot to me. While I dont have any immediate family there, there are people there that I consider. When the time comes if I need to get one of my family members into a community such as CityView, CityView would be my go to.

I have been visiting the residents at City View over the course of 6 months to introduce a program. I must say these are the most vibrant and lively group of seniors that I have come across. I have engaged each senior on a one to one and group setting and they are so happy and engaging on some level.I must say this is one facility that I enjoy coming to. The staff is extremely helpful from the front desk to the aides that escort the residents back and forth. Visiting City View has become the highlight of my week.I am extremely pleased with the level of attention each person receives its truly like an oasis in a city of business.
