This is an update to a recent review of the Fountain Square Facility in Lompoc, CA where my mom had resided for 1 month prior to moving her to another State to live near me.I would like to thank all of the staff at the facility for taking care of my 92 year old mother. In particular; Robin, Emely, Leslie, Sara, Sergio for making us feel special from day one. All were quick to assist in anything asked, especially caring and friendly, making us feel like family.While the food service, quality, variety IMHO could be improved, I brought it up to the management and again, they were quick to respond and look into the matter.We wish the best to all of the staff and will miss them.

Since my mom arrived at the facility, Robin Murray who is the Director and Emely who is the Community Relations Director have been nothing short of incredible and wonderful to talk with, listen to our needs and make my mom feel special. Both make my mom feel important and cared for. Sergio who is the maintenance man and Leslie who works the front desk have also been exceptional. My Mom receives 3 good meals a day, has a "push button" she wears and gets immediate attention. I feel assured that my mom is being well taken care of. Even as the son, I'm made to feel like a friend and always welcome.

My Sister and I just moved our Mother into The Fountain Square less than a month ago. She needed more care than the assisted living situation she was living at for two years. We needed her to be safer and be given more specific care due to her memory issues. Wow! What a difference in the care! Robin and Emely are such pros and have handled this move with kindness and respect. For the first time in years my family can sleep at night knowing Mom is being given the utmost care. The staff in the memory care area are all so sweet and treat Mom as a family member of their own. We are grateful.

Our Aunt has lived here since 2016 and we are grateful for the care she is given by all the thoughtful staff at Fountain Square. In particular, I’ve been so appreciative of the special attention shown by Lesley who covers reception and so many other aspects of communication and customer experience. When I need to get medical appointments scheduled or special care instructions distributed to the right staff she is on it…reliable, responsive, kind, and trustworthy. As a family member trying to ensure our loved one has what they need to thrive and in particular to get through some of the challenges that arise in managing their care it’s so comforting to have wonderful staff like Lesley there to facilitate the best outcomes. And the many other staff buzzing around the facility every day providing dedicated care are our heroes. It’s like having a team working right there with you.

We had to place my mother for a respite care (7 days) in the Memory Care unit, due to the circumstances surrounding the death of my father. We had a wonderful experience with the staff, despite the issues of COVID19. The paperwork was very daunting but the director, Robin, was very patient with us. They were very accommodating and the staff we interacted with were amazing. Special thanks to the Memory Care director, Megan, for her recommendations of reading material. And to Meeta, who loved my mom like her own while she was there! You are one special lady!

My wife and I researched a place for my wonderful mother. Fountain Square in Lompoc was at the top of the list. She will be moving in shortly. Fountain Square is truly an inspiring place to work. It is clear that staff care deeply for all the residents and treat them like family. Staff take time to learn residents preferences and habits to provide meaningful enrichment and a means for connection. Staff work hard to provide assistance while encouraging residents independence. The kitchen provides delicious and nutritious meals and snacks that both residents and staff enjoy. The Med Techs and Nurse are attentive to residents needs. After working here for 5 months I can see just how dedicated staff are to providing person focused care and how proud they are of the work they do. Currently, I work as the Memory Care Director. I strive to ensure that residents in my neighborhood thrive and feel a sense of purpose. I want them to have pride in their home. I involve them in as many projects as possible and follow their lead. As an example, after spending time tending the garden with residents I learned that they wanted more raised garden beds to plant a vegetable garden. I purchased two build-it-yourself garden beds and asked the residents to help me build them. It was incredible to see how engaged the residents were with the project and how proud they were with the finished product. The residents are so excited to continue on with the project and see their planter boxes in use. The main takeaway of this revew is, if youre looking for a homey neighborhood filled with friendly staff, attentive care, and engaging activities... Fountain Square is the place for you.

Kenny and his team are fantastic! My moms move was smooth and seamless! They guided us thru all of the necessary paperwork and transition. I would highly recommend Fountain Square to anyone seeking a new living environment for their loved one!

I like this community for the care for a loved one. The staff were very nice and caring. The community was clean and she liked the community and the activities that she was involved with. The meals were healthy and a nice variety to choose from. We would recommend the care of this community to other families.

The New Lodge of Lompoc is a great assited living facility in the Lompoc area. A few months back the facility had a change in ownership and since then the facility has had a great living enviroment for the residents. The staff is caring and helpful to all that are there. The old owners were not as focused on the residents as the new owners are so I know things will only begin to head in the correct direction.
