Lorraine has been my fathers assistant at Creek View Nursing Home for over 2 years. It is easy to measure her contribution by his behavior on weekends when she is off duty; when he prefers to stay in bed and sleep all day. Whereas Lorraine always gets him up out of his room and involved in each days activities. She helps him visit his girl friend in the Assisted living wing, loads his wheel chair onto the bus for outings, or rolls him over to the activity room for painting. Even though he was an accomplished amateur sculptor, he gets plenty of enjoyment out of painting within the lines.It is sad to see a PhD Physicist slowly lose his ability to converse and read, but Loraine amplifies whatever he can say and fills in the blanks with cheerful chatter. As far as I know, he is the only nursing resident who has a 40 hr-wk assistant on duty, so Im not sure he even understands Lorraines role. Lorraine works seamlessly with the orderlies and nurses, performing within the rules of the facility and getting lots of kudos from the staff. He probably takes her for granted, but that doesnt matter to Lorraine. His remaining family visits less than we should since we frankly get bored trying to hold a one-way conversation, but Lorraine never seems to get tired. She keeps us involved by sending us texts with pictures of his exploits, in which he is always smiling.Creek View is a very high-end nursing home, but that wouldnt matter to my father without Lorraines personal touch. I feel blessed that Kindred is available for assistant services even outside the home. They do a great job of matching assistants to their residents and supporting them in a long-term relationship akin to family. I have become very attached to Lorraine, so I can feel what my father feels for her. Thank God for Lorraine!

Kindreds caregivers assisted me from December 2019 through the beginning of May 2020. During this period I had two hospitalizations followed by two stints at a nursing home. When I got home, my primary caregiver was awaiting me, and he has served me faithfully ever since until now that I am able to handle the world sheltering in place largely on my own. He made sure that I took my meds on time, helped me hobble around on my walker when I was first discharged from the nursing homes, watched me like a hawk lest I fall, and generally was my guardian angel and my friend. He learned my habits and knew when not to intrude and when to offer help. If I could give him more than 5 stars I would. Thank you, Carlos and Kindred.

Our family was faced with a difficult situation that we were not prepared for, and that was getting in home care for our mom. How do you quickly search for someone that you can put your trust in to take great care of someone you love? It was extremely stressful not only for us choosing the right people but even more so for my mom! Someone you dont know watching you all day or night!There are so many caregivers and agencies out there and pros and cons that come with each. We researched and asked around and received many referrals, including Kindred at Home. Christina Balistrari, and Kristin Brocklesby from Kindred at Home contacted us the same day, on a weekend, during their personal time, explaining the process and answering numerous questions. Kristin met with us to go over the process and to meet with our parents and learn more about them and who they are and address their concerns so she could find a caregiver that would be a good fit. She was very kind and caring, and talked to my parents as if they were family, not like a sales person.Our schedule was different than most as the days and hours we needed someone were different each week. Kristin, along with Maribel Martinez were very patient with us and did their best to give us the same caregiver. There were times where we could only give them a few days notice, but they worked with us. Maribel (Client Care Supervisor) came by a few times to check on my mom herself and asked her if she had any issues. If we had any concerns or issues, she was very responsive.Our family knows first hand the stresses of finding a caregiver and our family highly recommends Kindred at Home. They are very professional, caring and supportive. They treat you like family not just another client.

This was one of the easiest and most pleasant business to deal with. We got off to a rocky start after my TKR surgery but everything was settled and taken care of in the nicest and understanding of ways. The caregiver I had was so great. She motivated me to do all the things I needed to do for my recovery and rehab and would not let me get away with anything. When I would say I dont want to she would just look at me and say Really? and prepare the things I needed to do my rehab. I loved her. She was the greatest as was the entire team. If I ever need a caregiver again I will go to Kindred and if anyone were to ask me I would highly recommend they use this company!

Kindred has been our caregiver resource for the past 3 years for our 93 year old father. He adored his caregivers, especially, Jaliesa and Sarah. Without their expertise and caring ways, we would not have been able to keep him home, where he wanted to be. The staff is wonderful and caring, very helpful in every way possible. Thank you Kindred for the wonderful care you have given our father, you gave a peace of mind. We would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking home care services.

Kindred responded quickly when we had an emergency situation with our parents needing 24 hour care in their home. They have provided wonderful caregivers and we very much appreciate the excellent care our parents are receiving, allowing them to remain in their home.

We had a great experience using Kindred at Home for a personal aide for my 85 year old mom at a destination family wedding event. The aide was prompt, professional and really took the extra time needed to make sure my mom was well cared for during the day and evening of the event.

The kindred at home team was amazing in helping to arrange 24 hour care for my elderly father when he returned home from the hospital. We had amazing support from Kristin, her management team and all of the caregivers during the transition. It was a very difficult time for my dad and for myself and their kindness and caring made it so easier on us. I will be eternally grateful for the whole Kindred at home team.

When my mom was in need of 24 hour in home care, kindred at home was so helpful in making sure my mom was taken care of. Everyone was extremely caring and when my mom had to go back into the hospital they were always checking on her to see how she was doing. Would highly recommend this company

In July of 2016, my 96-year old dad began having multiple medical issues. He was in and out of hospitals and SNFs having multiple procedures and fighting a variety of infections. When he was finally released to come home, he was weak and disoriented and needing some very close personal care. I work as a special education teacher and would not be home during the day to care for my dad. I made him a promise years ago to watch over him in my home for as long as I was able. Kindred has helped so much in making it easier for me to keep that promise. Once dad was released to come home, arrangements were made with Kindred to help with the care dad needed to remain home. At first, we needed 24-hour care and I was really nervous about having strangers in my home for whatever reason. No need to worry! The Kindred caregivers are sensitive, warm and caring. They made it all easy for me and my family; there when needed and never intrusive. Delightful people with wonderful stories and open hearts. One evening, we had a massive emergency and the Kindred caregiver that night was right on target. She contacted me upstairs via text and indicated I was needed. When I came down, my dads oxygen unit had malfunctioned and we had some bleeding issues. Our Kindred person remained calm and stayed at my side, following directions and doing whatever was needed to help my dad and myself. The EMTs were eventually called and she remained strong and helpful. There are many stories of Kindred caregivers going above and beyond in my opinion to help my family and I, right down to dealing with the pets of the family and my small grandchildren. I not only have, but can highly recommend this organization for their service. The managers are delightful and easy to work with, even with last minute requests for help! I never feel like Im causing anyone any inconvenience. They are great. A pure 10!

Services like this are invaluable in time of need. I would suggest that you copy the ph# and or the URL and keep it handy for a time when you may need it in a hurry. Local and highly respected, you would be making a good choice. When needed you dont want to look around for just any service, you want one that has a reputation that can provide the needs you require.

We used kindred while my mom, who has alzheimers, recovered from hip surgery. Kristin, was wonderful! She was great at understanding our needs and was excellent with communication. All caregivers were kind, conscientious, patient and knowledgeable. They provided us with updates, reassurance and support. We have recommended Kindred to others and will definitely use them again. I got to know Kizzy, Lorraine and Chris the most. They were all great.

We had a wonderful experience with Kindred at Home. While my mom was transitioning from Assisted Living to Memory Care we used Kindred to keep her in Assisted Living longer. It enabled us to ensure that when the time came to move mom that we had done all we could before taking that next step.
