Our mother was diagnosed with a terminal illness just over a year ago. Balboa cottages willingly took her in even though we said it might only be a for few weeks. They took such great care of her, that we were recently able to move her into an assisted living facility where she has additional independence. I cannot thank Justin and the staff enough for everything they did for our mother.

My 79 year old mother had multiple serious health issues a year ago, and we were told that she only had months to live. My sister and I toured countless board and care facilities and got more and more depressed about the options. Then when we toured the Cottages at Lake Balboa we both had the same reaction: this place is actually what we wanted for our mom! The owner and staff at the Cottages are truly caring. The owner Justin and his family are kind and ethical. They run a facility that is exceptionally clean and home-like. The staff at our mom's cottage are fantastic. A spotless home, delicious meals, and caring staff. Really, I don't think you will find a better spot for your elders in the valley. Our mom's hospice nurses have also noticed. BTW, our mom is still going strong a year later. My sister and I both attribute this to the owner and staff of the Cottages.

We were so relieved when someone actually sat us down and explained how working with hospice SHOULD go and walked us through everything. Its a hard time but Justin was a God send and we really feel lucky to have found Clarendon.

Its sad to think we will not be taking mom out to lunch every week and seeing everyone at the house anymore. Lulu and Renee, End and Esther and every one of the caregivers who came before them has been extraordinary. Thank you for providing such magnificent service for our most beloved aging parents. Clarendon is really an amazing place.

Wow. The cleanliness of the place was enough to really amaze us when comparing it to other facilities. Then the staff seemed much more knowledgeable and were really patient with all of our questions. I was really impressed.

Anyone can buy and furnish a house. Clarendon has infused spirit and created a happy home for our aging parents. Were so happy we found this place.

The caretakers at Clarendon are superb and cater to the individual needs of the residents. The menu is also adjusted according to whatever the residents like.

Clarendon is an absolutely incredible facility. Its warm and inviting and the closest thing you can get to being at home. I would highly recommend it to anyone who needs to be find a good place for their loved one.

Justin is incredible. He is so knowledgeable about this. You can tell hes done it for years and told us things about my moms condition that the doctors didnt even go into and its really been an amazing help.

I love how its in a normal neighborhood and doesnt feel like some big hospital type facility. Its just a quiet little house and visiting my mom doesnt feel like a chore or depressing like I thought. Theyre really great to her here.
