My husband was recently here and the facility is really nice. The PT department and people in there are simply amazing. They kept him focused and he came home a week early. Jhovanny, Tevin, and Marcella were such great staff and so patient with him. They have a good team over there. My only ding is the food was horrible and like shoe leather or burnt. Otherwise I recommend them highly.

I am very impressed with this Rehab. This is the 4th one he's been in and the other 3 was not even close to being good. In This reha they are very attentive, caring, loving, informative, amazing team. I'm very grateful for the results. I highly recommend this Rehab if you want good care.

The facility and the staff are wonderful , unfortunately when I was there for almost 3 weeks the facility had only been open 2 weeks and IMHO they were way understaffed and all the RN and CNA were young and inexperienced , I required IV Antibiotics that had to be administered every 8hrs by an RN so I got to meet quit a few , I do need to mention 1 young RN Colin was his name he constantly rose above everyone else. I would stay here again without hesitation I'm sure all the bugs and kinks have been worked out, Do not repeat DO NOT stay at VICTORIA POST ACUTE located in El Cajon , most of the staff and especially the director Lilly are rude and very unprofessional .

My mom and our family loved this place. Everyone was very nice, and very professional. My mom stayed at Stanford Court in Santee in the past, and they were a disaster. They were always very understaffed, and the patients suffered because of it. The exact opposite is true at Grossmont Post Acute. Anytime my mom needed anything, they were there relatively quick. There were always very nice to my mom, and to the family when we needed something. One afternoon I just walked around and watched the staff talking with patients, helping them, feeding them, etc. and the staff was genuinely caring with every interaction I saw. And anytime my mom had a health issue like her blood sugar dropping low, they would always call me to keep me updated. I can't say enough positive things about Grossmont Post Acute Care. We are very appreciative that they took such good care of our mom.

It’s a clean place pt/ot start you off on the left foot I have two busted hips .and keep you safe .the food is good the nursing staff is all way helping people out they are true heroes the The maintenance man is very good maintenance man find something that needs to be fixed or repaired. He’s on it and the case manager she’s on it too. She’s always going around every day checking on people. Also to see if they need anything. I definitely would come here again if I ever have to go back to an acute rest home so I raided down a five star.

I couldn’t be treated, nicer and caring and staff always watching me and when I went to PT and OT they always monitoring my vitals to make sure that I’m OK and very caring and helpful staff.

My husband spent 2 weeks at Grossmont Post Acute after 5 days in the Kaiser hospital. He made good progress in regaining his strength with help from physical therapy and occupational therapy. The staff were very supportive and helpful. The food was the only problem because he is vegetarian. No tofu or veggie burgers, just egg salad and sometimes lentils. The salad and vegetables were okay.

This is my mom’s second stay at Grossmont Post Acute. The highest compliment I can give is that the staff have all been incredibly kind to my mom. The social worker, case manager, OT, PT, speech pathologist, nurses , CNAs and activities directors all genuinely care and go out of their way to be helpful. I would definitely recommend Grossmont Post Acute.

After being seriously ill in the hospital I am now here at Sharp Grossmont Post Acute Care Rehab. Most people complain about facilities without understanding their services and limitations. They are not a hospital so care can take a little longer to receive as they have less staff and more patients which is normal. I want to get back on my feet and back to my life this is essential to ones care as well. My Care has been excellent in all facets so far and I am impressed by the number of trained staff caring for me. It is clean and maintained that way. Your room is only temporary and for your current condition. It's not the Ritz. Food is prepared for many different diet types and you may want your own seasonings. Remember your attitude is utmost in your plan.

I’m grateful for the staff at Grossmont Post Acute. After a fall and lengthy hospital stay my mother was not able to come home. The staff there helped her adjust, worked with her on physical therapy, and provided a safe and clean environment for her to stay. Social workers at the facility helped us navigate the very confusing process to find a long term facility for her to transition to. They kept us in the loop, guided us on decisions and paperwork and facilitated many of the important steps. Thank you to everyone at Grossmont Post Acute for your understanding, patience, and care for my mother.

Physical Therapy is great! The building is old, cracks and holes in the exterior, clogged exterior filters, old and not functioning registers/filters in some patient rooms. The friendly, helpful, skilled staff makeup for the decrepit physical surroundings.

Everyone here is wonderful. No place is perfect but when your parent is needing a rehab I fully recommend Grossmont Post Acute. My parent was scared to go into a rehab and after being here for one day my parent was relieved and could not believe that they were afraid. Every single person here is attentive and always looking out for the patients care. We will miss every single person here.

The staff is excellent starting with the CNA’s They are always helpful when you call them and come very quickly after you call them. The rest of the staff is very professional. They are a team. They work very hard to make the patient stay as comfortable as possible the food is not the best but very better than what I have had in other places. The therapists are all very helpful it’s been a pleasant experience.

Hi, I’m giving this review of physical therapy and occupational therapy of Grossmont Post Acute Care and they’re all excellent. They have excellent programs and Brie is a physical therapist. She is the best she teaches you. She make sure you’re motivated. They all do it in therapy and I am so much appreciative that she is helping me build my muscles and I am so glad that I came here and will tell everybody to come here.

I would just like to recommend Grossmont post acute care. They have wonderful people working here. They are kind not only to the patients but to each other as they’re working, they’re helpful to each other and especially try to fulfill all of the request of the patients. They have a good PT and OT department to help strengthen you and help you gain your health again I recommend post acute care.

This is my probably going to be my last little vacation here at Grossmont Post Acute Care. I have been here four times and may I say that I wouldn't have come back four times if I really didn't enjoy it. The therapists are terrific they all have a great sense of humor which is what I really like. They can really have you work hard as well and it is definitely worth it. By going through with what you have to all the pain and the reality but there's always a little humor in the background and everybody seems to like everybody and I think everybody works pretty hard to come back and be able to walk again or whatever our problems are so I highly advise you to come here and don't get discouraged if you have to come back one time. If you do have to come back again, in which for my case, I had to to repeat the process again. Rest assured that they got the therapist right here to take care of you and all of our special special nurses and everyone else to help you through your journey every step of the way. I'm going to miss them but I am moving up the road about a hundred miles so if I get to lonesome I can just come on down and see them again .

I did not know that this place existed. We have driven by Grossmont Post Acute a million times we did not know this place was available to anyone in need of phyysical and Occupational therapy. All of of the staff are very helpful, Cristina, Bella, Randolph, and Jordan are all outstanding what they do. Before I cam to Grossmont Post Acute I had given up mentally and physically I had completly given up and had nothing left. I had been to the hospital 5 times prior and not once have they mentioned that this place was here. Everyone worked at my pace and they were able to get me back on my feet and now 2 weeks later I am officially ready to go home with confidence that will make it back again. And maybe, I will be even better than I was before. My husband was blown away after 3 days of improvement. Thank you to everone at Grossmont Post Acute!

Just spent 14 days here. It is known for its great physical therapy program for people who have had strokes or other brain injuries. OT and PT 2x daily. Dedicated staff. Food needs improvement but rehabs run on a shoestring budget. New building is being built but not ready for a year or so. Mo

Spinal surgery is definitely a life experience. I have to give a great deal of credit to the staff at Grosmont Post Acute Care. The entire staff is amazing: friendly, kind and know their business. This goes from nurses, CNA, aides, PT&OT , food service and housekeeping. And all the others involved. Thank you for your care, compassion and for all the smiles and laughter. The care was exceptional and thorough. The staff really cared for my mother in law when she had to have short term rehab after a fall. She had a good time with her roommates and feels loved and cared for. We didn’t have any worries about her while she was here.

Great experience for my mom who broke her hip. Jezebel the activeis coordinator was the absolute best, caring and fun at the same time. She never left anyone out! The staff was caring and kind. My mom had a great experience! I would definitely recommend to others!

I am impressed on their discharge process. The Social Workers & Case Manager follow through until after discharge. They make sure that the patient and family has support at home, making sure that patients are safe with their loved ones or caregiver at their home to try prevent patients to bounce back to the hospital. The SWs & CM have constant communication with the family/caregiver during the discharge process to ensure that patient/family have what they need at their home. I highly recommend Grossmont Post Acute Care

I don't even know where to begin. But my Mother had a massive stroke 6 years ago and when the hospital was ready to discharge her they gave us 2 hours notice. My brother and I scrambled to go look at options. My brother and I walked into GPAC at 8:30 at night (long after regular hours) and the kindest person in the world showed us around. After talking to the administrator the next morning we knew THIS was the place to take our mother. Sadly my mom did not benefit from the physical or occupational therepy (the effects of her stroke were just too great) and my Mom became a resident (I don't know if that's what it's called) but as of Janury 2024 she has been there for 6 years. GPAC is not perfect, but the facility is clean and the people are fantastic. They take such good care of mom and are so kind and caring. I tell my friends that if I can't have her at home with us then I'm able to sleep at night knowing she is at GPAC. The facily is not new (although they are buidling a new building across the street that they will move into in December 2024) but it's SO CLEAN, smells nice and they have staff that provides activities for the short term and long term patients (see photos of recent car show!) Although I compliment the entire staff--there are more than a few staff members who are nothing less than 'Angels on Earth' that have take extra special care of mom and we will forever be grateful to them for how they have cared for our mom.
