As a senior who has had years of career experience in the senior service industry, I just want to share that I would trust Brookdale as my first choice of personal residence or for a loved one! I have observed Brookdale as an entity that truly "walks the talk." As a part-time employee, I am impressed with the regular, required education for all employees; covering a broad range of gerontology topics -- given to increase understanding of how we can best provide timely, professional, and empowering assistance to our residents so they can continue to grow, progress, and live their best lives! This mission is embraced by every staff member I've met: from Teresa, our Executive Director, all of our directors, all staff I've met, to part-time senior workers, like myself. Informal chats take place in the breakroom, and it's always about how best to do our jobs professionally and with respect for our residents. We're in!!

okay place to work.Caregivers are usually over worked and short staff. The pay is not different than other assisted living...minimum wage with a few good perks. Place is kept clean and welcoming.

The facility is beautiful but the staff is what makes Brookdale special! From the directors Teresa and Juanita as well as the whole staff we are truly blessed to have all of them taking care of our mother!

I had a wonderful experience speaking with Julia. I visited the paint room and the library, looked in on the dining also the grounds, and garden. If I could afford to retire there, I would! Financialy its not in the cards for me. Thankyou Julia you were kind and knowledgeable. Lyndy. P.S. Enjoyed the car show and the west valley pep squad.

I dont usually leave reviews but when I didnt know where to look for a great assisted living facility I looked at reviews. From day one Terrie the director was awesome, and now Joel who is new! My mother has bern a resident for 4 years. When needing a place for mom to feel welcomed, and still an active member of a community I was so pleased to be welcomed and all questions answered by the most knowledgeable and caring staff. Julia in the office is a calming and sweet and always available to make your concerns or make your problems seem to be easily fixed. After fir 4 yrs in independent living mom needed to be transferred to Assisted living.... WOW, I didnt think it was possible, but the transition has been made so easy for me... all the staff is so welcoming and overall wonderful. However I could not have done this alone without the help and concern of Terrie Encinas and Joel McClure—assets, but to me - ANGELS!!! Best facility ever...... look no further

After living for 8 wonderful years at Sunwest, and 88 years on earth, our mother passed away yesterday. Sunwest Assisted Living was her home, and all the staff and caregivers were her family. She loved everything about her home: the activities, the people, the facility. We are so appreciative of their care for our mom. She was so loved by all.

It is always difficult to move a loved one in to a care facility and selecting the right one can be daunting. After visiting many facilities we were lucky enough to find Brookdale Sunwest memory care facility. We moved mom in over two years ago and the care has been exemplary. It takes a special group of people to care for those who have Alzheimers as it can be quite challenging at times. There are many activities in the single day to keep their mind occupied and they certainly do not go hungry, the food is quite good. All of the caregivers are loving and take wonderful care of all the residents. It is nice not to have to worry if your loved one is being taken care of. Many thanks to the staff at the Brookdale memory care facility.

They do a great job in Memory Care! They do activities, such as painting, coloring, weekly outings, attending events at the club house and many other things to keep them engaged. They also have musicians come in and play a variety of music. Keep up the good work!!

Brookdale Sunwest is a great place!! They care about their residents and keep in contact with us. They are always doing crafts, exercise, games, outings, parties and other things to keep them engaged. Right now due to the shelter in place order, they have setup video chatting so we can still see and talk to our peep. We always joke that its like shes on an all inclusive vacation. I would highly recommend Brookdale Sunwest!!

My mother chose Brookdale Sunwest because of their Independent Living option and our family couldn't be happier! She enjoys being a part of the many activities that take place, including past participation as an elected member of the Residents Council, leading exercise classes 5 days a week, welcoming new residents, and attending community trips. The past 5+ years she has lived there have resulted in some great friendships and a renewed sense of life for her. From the Executive Director, David, to the dining and kitchen staff, and everyone in between - they are all contributing to encouraging our mom in enjoying every day of her life. We are so thankful for Brookdale Sunwest and the comfort our family finds in knowing that our mother loves where she lives!

I moved my mother-in-law into the Brookdale Sunwest facility two years ago because we really liked the independent living facility and also because if needed, additional care was also available through this facility without having to completely look for another location. All the staff at this location is professional, knowledgeable and kind. Recently we had to move her to the assisted living building. Because she lives in Hemet, CA and I live in Denver, CO this was a logistical nightmare to set up since I was unable to get there until 0ne ya before the planned move. If it weren't for Cindy (your independent living coordinator) I would never have been able to accomplish this. She helped me with knowing my options, costs, etc. In addition, she gave me the name of a great moving team that made the move seamless. She was always available to answer any questions and concerns and also checked on Mom when I was unable to reach her after the move (due to phone problems). She was also able to give me a shoulder to lean on when I needed it. Her tremendous assistance and support was invaluable to our family and she is a true asset to your company.

My father recently moved in to this community. After visiting him a few times since hes moved there, Im very pleased to see how well hes transitioned to his new home and how much there is to offer. The dining area is wonderful and the food is excellent. Its also nice to see the variety of outings and events Brookdale Sunwest has to offer to its residents! Great job!

I really enjoy working at Brookdale Sunwest Nursing Home. The elderly are so amazing! They will always tell stories about "the good old days"! And they love sharing photo's and reminiscent memories of there children, grandchildren and great grandchildren!

I have visited my mom there, stayed in her villa, eaten in the dining room, and toured the campus. It is the most beautiful retirement place I've ever seen!! The people are great and the food was very nice. I have always enjoyed my stay there!
