Valley Christian Home – Reviews
June 2018
The kindest, most patient and most loving staff one could ever find to care for their loved ones. Always activities and fun going on. Plenty of really nourishing and good meals and so many wonderful snacks. The hairdresser keeps all clients looking great! And she is so kind. Cannot believe we were so lucky to find such a wonderful home with a staff sent from heaven. Thank you all and good bless you all! Michael's sister Maxine

Windsor Place goes the extra mile for their residents . I want to again give my highest regards to the owners of Windsor Place Dennis and Elissa Sargent as well as the great staff. My Mom was in Carlyle ( Dementia Ward ) for the last 2 1/2 years. As she suffered through the terrible stages of Alzheimers disease there were many changes in her attitudes and her abilities and her temperaments . Dementia causes some terrible effects in people.Where other places may have told me to pack her up and hit the road or send her to a nursing home this facility did nothing of the kind. Elissa and Dennis were very proactive and took the challenge head on . Along with the great core staff ( you all know who you are and I'm so grateful to all of you) they worked daily to get through an average day with Mom which could be very difficult. This place offers a great living space, very good food , and plenty of activity. It is very safe and very secure. There is a core veteran staff here, which you may not ever get in some other places. They truly become attached to their residents and in a short time you will see that they work to understand all about your loved one , creating a great atmosphere for the resident. I highly suggest if you are looking for commitment and hands on work ethic Windsor place is the place for you.

I highly recommend Valley Christian Home. Our mother made friends right away & was very well cared for by the staff who kept us apprised of any changes to mom. The staff & Optimal Hospice made mom as comfortable as possible before she passed on. They also took great care of us , Moms family. We are all extremely grateful & so very happy we chose Valley Christian Home. Thank you.

No positive review could ever do this facility and it's staff complete justice. They went above and beyond so many times I lost count. We lost my father in September 2018. Married for 65 years, my mother did not want to be alone, nor could she be due to her meds. We moved her into Silvergate (the front building) and the staff embraced her, visited her, gave her pep talks, and did everything they could to make her happy and comfortable. It soon became quite evident to us that this was much more than just a business or a job to them... they truly cared about our mother for the human being she was. They even found out what candy and root beer she liked and began stocking it in the general store! After suffering a stroke, our mother had to be moved to the rear building for assisted living. There were some complications with timing, her being in the hospital etc. and Gay helped us through all of it, making a challenging time much less stressful. Again the staff there embraced mom and gave her much more than care. They showed compassion and abundant love to her. Our mother passed in February of 2019. She just wanted to be with dad again. The time from his passing to hers - just under 5 months was undoubtedly the most challenging time in our lives. My brother, sister and our spouses could not even imagine what this would have been like had Silvergate not been such a blessing and support system - not only for our mom but for us as well. Gay's father Arne is a resident and had befriended mom. He took time to come visit her in assisted living and would just talk and visit with her. Near the end, he sat and rubbed her feet for over an hour. I think this is significant as he is clearly a compassionate man, who raised an equally compassionate daughter in Gay. That compassion shines brightly in all the staff and it makes all the difference in the world. There aren't too many opportunities to use words like "superlative" and "exceptional" these days but Silvergate deserves them. We will forever be grateful for the roles everyone there played keeping mom comfortable and keeping our family sane. In a dark time, they were a very bright and comforting light. If this sounds like a glowing review, I assure you it does not do them justice. I simply cannot find the words to express the difference they made in our lives.

As one of the Gloryland singers, that come once a month, I can speak for our whole group, by saying that we all look forward to coming and singing, visiting with and just loving every one of Valley Christian residents! We love to see all the bright happy faces that wait for us to start singing and bringing God's word to all of you. You all bring us just as much joy and warmth as we do to you! That's why we come back every month. We love each and every one of you and we love how the staff take such good care of everyone also. Thank you for allowing us to come into your home!

The staff at Sacred Heart Saucon Valley welcomed me, my husband and my family with open arms. The residents were kind and welcoming. The staff was competent and compassionate. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Medical care was right on the premises. Special thanks to Wendy and to all the caring aides. Overall, a great place to stay!

Both of my parents are at Wyoming Springs since May 2017-my father is in Assisted Living and my mother is in Memory Care. This is a beautiful place with good food and caring people who truly love and watch out for my parents. They are like family to us and we are so grateful for their compassion and care.
