Angels work here My brother has been a resident of Brunswick Village for the past 4 years since having a stroke and becoming wheelchair bound. Since he moved into Brunswick, my brother has been in excellent hands. My husband and I live 5 hours away so knowing my brother is well taken care of is a huge relief. He suffers from dementia, and has short term memory loss. The staff at Brunswick is incredibly efficient and patient with med techs dispensing his meds, and providing a clean environment for him to live in. He has 3 delicious and nutritious meals every day. He has transportation to local doctor's appointments when we can't be there. We are so fortunate for the compassionate, caring workers and staff at Brunswick.

Brunswick Village in Grass Valley truly deserves every bit of a 5-star review. From the moment you walk in, you can tell how clean, well-kept, and thoughtfully maintained the community is. It’s a smaller community, which makes such a difference”they’re able to provide more personalized, attentive care, and it really shows in how residents are treated like family. The entire staff team is incredibly sweet, compassionate, and genuinely caring. You can feel the warmth in every interaction, and it’s clear they go above and beyond to make sure residents are comfortable, happy, and well cared for. They also do a wonderful job keeping life engaging and joyful, with activities always happening to spark connection, fun, and purpose among residents. A special shoutout to Janice, who handles welcoming new residents. She has such a natural, heartfelt approach”never making it feel transactional, but instead creating a sense of comfort and belonging from the very beginning. She truly makes the transition feel supportive and human. Janice is also the queen of networking in the area! She puts together some of the best events, bringing together community partners and making sure organizations like Comfort Keepers feel included, supported, and part of something bigger. Her efforts strengthen the entire local care community, and it doesn’t go unnoticed. I can’t say enough how much I appreciate her partnership and everything she does”not just for Brunswick Village, but for the Grass Valley community as a whole.

My sister has been a resident of Brunswick Village for the past 9 months. She suffers from early-onset Alzheimer’s and has been rapidly declining. The entire staff has been very effective in helping her through this very difficult time. I have so appreciated their support when needed, their wisdom that comes from years of experience and attention to detail. Truly every employee there has connected with me on some level, they really pay attention to their residents. None of us want to place our loved ones in facilities away from their homes and people they know and love, but when it’s necessary for us for various reasons I would highly recommend this facility. Eileen was a great resource for senior living for active seniors. Brunswick Village is for seniors needing care which wasn’t a fit for me. I drove out to take a look at Lake Wildwood, which Eileen recommended, but they wouldn’t let me in to drive through. The very rude guard at the gate said it’s closed to the public with no exceptions. I found that interesting. I imagine I can get I’m with a realtor. I’ll continue to peruse it and other recommended venues. Thanks Eileen

I've tried several times to write a review that really highlights what a wonderful residence this is for Alzheimer/dementia sufferers. My mother's mind and body has been ravaged by this horrible disease, so my review reflects the care for a very needy person. But I have some comfort in knowing she is being cared for by angels on earth. The facility is clean and bright and all areas open to scrutiny. The administrators and staff are truly heroes to the residents and their families who care about them. They all have a similar attitude of "this gives me so much joy to help an older person in need and give them as much love and comfort as possible." My mother's room and bathroom is always clean and so is she, even with incontinence. She is not left in her room all day but is awakened, bathed, dressed and taken to a community area for some social interaction as she is able. She is checked up often for her comfort and bathroom needs. There are music, movies, very good meal plans and snacks. For all holidays the residence is decorated and the staff dress up for fun and laugh with the residents. I received a good deal of assistance when first placing her at Brunswick Village. They made it as smooth as could be done. She is under continual Hospice visits in addition to the daily care of the Brunswick Village employees. The employees are of a much higher degree of caring for dementia patients than I have seen in other facilities. They are knowledgable about the disease and are trained to be the best at caring for the residents. My mother will never get better, but she will have been given love and care from incredible persons....again, angels on earth.

My mother is so happy at Brunswick Village! She never wanted to leave her home so this was not an easy move for her. But after only a month, she has realized the importance of being surrounded by helpful staff and a community of her peers. The staff treats her with dignity, respect, and love which has had such a positive affect on my mother's recovery. It is such a good feeling knowing she is being so well taken care of and happy. I have the utmost respect for the positive and loving way this facility is run!

My dad had to be moved from Monterey across state to be with a family member in Grass Valley. Director Kristie Laine not only met with him in Monterey to evaluate his mobility, dexterity, speech, etc.but then worked with us to help him meet admission requirements. Now that he's at Brunswick, the staff give him constant, friendly and personal care which has actually improved his skills, social interaction and outlook for the first time in years. Good people in the elder care industry are hard to find, given the exhausting and sometimes thankless tasks they perform for residents with limited capacity to communicate or express themselves. Previous providers elsewhere have been callous and even dishonest taking care of my dad, so we are now very sensitive to personnel. Brunswick's staff has been consistently reliable, transparent and compassionate through every step of the process -- rare traits for which we are deeply grateful.

My experience is still in the early stage. I had two places to choose from and I choose Brunswick Village because I want my mom to have a location that is like a home. She likes the family feel, she has lots of supervision and activities. We as the family feel we are being heard and if mom is in need of something they see the need a get it for her and when we get there they communicate to us. I like the security I see it makes me not have more worries. Please if you are looking for a family environment for your loved one to live in when they are needing to be in an assistance facility choose Brunswick Village.

I moved my stepmother into brunswick village about 4 years ago. The staff has always treated her like family. Though the covid I never worried about her. You walk into brunswick village it is a very homey and happy atmosphere. It's a great place for your loved one.

My mother has been at Brunswick for over a year now. I have not been able to see her in person due to COVID restrictions but call her every or every other day. She is very pleased with the care she is being given there. She loves her room which looks out onto the courtyard. I have had nothing but excellent experiences with everyone there. I would totally recommend this facility to anyone who has a need for assisted living.

I want to convey my deep appreciation for the staff at Brunswick Village for their meticulous attention with my mother Pat. My mother was treated as a member of the Brunswick family and not a day went by without her remarking on how wonderful the staff and Kristie the manager were. She truly loved being at Brunswick Village. And as a result, I was greatly reassured. Kristie Laine and her staff have a love of older people and it shows in the staff employed and the personal attention given. My mother Pat was kept very busy with activities that were fun ( yoga & piano singing), but also stimulated her memory. Her food was prepared according to her favorites and she gained back weight that was desperately needed. Her medical needs were met with great communication back to me on the state of her health. I felt my mom was in a very warm, friendly and loving place and that was very important to me. I would highly recommend Kristie, her staff, and the Brunswick Village!

(2/5/19) It's been almost exactly a year since my sister and I moved Mom into Brunswick Village. We are both soooooo happy with this wonderful home for Mom! The people (both workers and residents) are friendly. The setting is pretty, the room is just the right size, activities are endless, and the outings are fun for 94 year old Mom. She was always very active. Bowled and drove until 92 or so. There's always something fun going on like crafts, games, ice cream socials, etc. On Veteran's Day they had a nice recognition ceremony for the Vets who live here. It was awesome!!! Mom likes their meals, likes their staff, and is happy there. Marlene, Faith, Megan, Ashley, Kristy....too many to mention are GREAT. Oh, HAVE to mention Clayton. He's the best! He handles facilities and maintenance and helping Mom with her TV problems. 🙂 Awesome place!

I highly recommend Brunswick Villiage. My grandmother has resident for four years. The facility is clean, the staff is caring and my nana is happy there. They are able to care for all level of need, including a memory care unit. They have opportunities for activities and outings and well has a whole host of community groups come to entertain and visit with these amazing people. I came across Brunswick Village after reviewing other assistant living facilities in this area. I was very pleased with the professionalism of the Administrator, Receptionist, Caregivers, Maintenance and even the Cooks. I was taken around to see the different room sizes that were available. They have a very nice activity room with games, art and crafts, music and a nice size television! Weather permitting there's even a beautiful court yard. The other things I noticed was how well kept the housekeeping was. Seriously, it's spotless! Plus, everyone who works there is so kind, caring and loves there job. My father was diagnosed with dementia and lives at this wonderful, caring and well kept place. I highly recommend Brunswick Village Assisted Living if you're looking for a place for your love one! I can actually say, I can sleep at night knowing my father is being cared for by loving, caring professionals.

I went just to see about putting a family member of mine in and get information and the moment I walked in the front door I smelled the stinch of human urine and fesces. It literally smelled like a health hazard! There was nobody at the front desk to help me and waited 5 minutes before the lady I seen outside smoking a cigarette and playing with her cell phone finally walks in surprised to see me standing there. I couldnt believe the lack of service! Even worse, she greeted me with "what DO YOU need?" Her name happened to be Wanda, and so I asked for the supervisor and was replied with "that would be me, whats your issue?" I was shocked and answered "nevermind Im at the wrong place." Upon leaving 2 attendents were fighting in the hallway in front of a handicapped resident and their client's family member. All I have to say is this was a nightmare coming here with being the most RUDE, VERY UNPROFESSIONAL, and obviously lack the proper care to their clientel. I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE!!!!!!
