We moved Mom in to Atria in Encinitas a couple months ago. We were very worried that she would feel comfortable and like it there. Wow are we impressed! The staff couldnt be more helpful and friendly. They have been really good about letting us know what is going on with mom. Mom loves the food too. Even though we are in a pandemic we really feel like they are on top of things and keeping mom safe and happy!

Let me start with my first contact as I explored alternative types of facilities for my next life phase. I received a call from the marketing director who with her first contact felt like I had been reunited with an old friend. She was attentive without being intrusive, she listened without judgement, she was empathic without being overly sympathetic--she had my attention. After our exchange of information, I felt well informed. The professional approach by other key players maintained the same rhythm throughout the admission process. After my move to the facility I found the staff very pleasant and accommodating. It was refreshing to be assisted during the isolation of being in a Pandemic. The entire staff is so nice and seem as if they cant do enough for you. Besides a few food items that I dont particularly like, even in the outside world, there just isnt anything negative that I can mention. Being a retired Registered Nurse--with a focus on Adminiatration, Case Management, Education and Informatics --I hold the business of caring for people to high standards and the Atria Encinitas Senior Living Facility does just that! Im so grateful to have this awesome place looking after me. It doesnt get any better than this! Thank you.

The sales director, Jeanne, spent over 45 minutes on the phone with me, walking me through everything from why I shouldnt feel guilty for moving my grandmother into assisted living, to a step-by-step list of what to expect next. We hit it off immediately and I discovered that we met several years ago when she worked for Home Instead Senior Care. At the last minute, she converted our phone call into Facetime and showed me a resident playing a medley of 70s tunes on the grand piano (without sheet music). I would move-in myself in a heartbeat. We have a tour scheduled soon but I just wanted to say, the first impression has been 5 star.

From the moment we researched this property we felt comfortable and welcomed. During difficult times and hard decisions with regards to my mother and her care Atria made everything seem like it was just right. Jeanne our sales Rep was so kind, caring, enthusiastic and tentative she answered all of our questions and concerns. The care and enthusiasm of the staff made us very comfortable~ While we couldnt enter the building due to Covid the Touch-less Model gave us a good view of what to expect and what the atmosphere would be like for mom. We really appreciated the protective measures being taken for the care of the residence. Thank you for a great experience and hope to see you soon~

Our main criteria in assisting dad in finding an assisted-care residence were; 1. Compassionate staff 2. Levels of care including memory care 3. A sense of family We looked together at several spots from Santa Barbara to San Diego. Atria seemed to stand out in all these categories (and a 4th important to me - tasty food!!). Involving dad in the process of choice was also important. Atria understood this without it being stated. They have various programs designed to draw their residents into assisted-care life. It is not a group of busybodies watch you move up and down the hallway. It is a community of folk about LIFE and LIVING. And at the same time they welcomed private companions and some specialty support for dad – even in these Covid-times. Wishing all the best of health and happiness.

Moving Dad to Atria Encinitas during this pandemic was a little frightening but we realize he is safe and in the best place possible. The staff go out of their way to keep him informed and entertained. He averages at least 7 visits a day from various staff, all masked and gloved. The weather is consistently beautiful and while it was an adjustment for all of us, its the best decision we ever made. Dad has made new friends, his mind is stimulated and he loves the food. Thank you to everyone at Atria Encinitas for the smooth transition in our lives. Im glad I get to go back to being the daughter and having a relationship with my dad and not a professional care person.

My grandma really needed full time care but was afraid to lose her independence. We talked her into at least touring a couple places and the friendliness of Atria Encinitas won her over. The staff send us pictures of grandma participating in fun activities and every picture shows her smiling. Very thankful we found Atria Encinitas because I always want the best for my grandma.

Atria has been home for my 94 year old mother for one year and I thought it was time to share some of my mothers and my thoughts. My thoughts: This place is a home, a home with a heart. The staff is above and beyond amazing. They handle all the residents needs with grace and compassion. I realize now how important the staff is as they are familiar faces day in and day out. Their interest and smiles are what end up making a happy day. Also the food...this is not just senior comfort food, it is plated thoughtfully, nutritious, but most of all just really good. Pandemic plan: With a building of the most vulnerable population, Atria stepped up and stepped up quickly to make more than sure everyone was safe and healthy. Temperatures are taken 2x a day and many of the group activities are very limited as residents sit out the pandemic in their rooms. Everyday the activities staff make calls on each one with snacks, water, and sometimes costumes and silly dances that make everyone chuckle. They are making a challenging situation entertaining and far from feeling isolated. Now a few quotes from my Mother: After one year my favorite part is the staff. Everyone is super nice. The food is very good. I love the court yard to go and sit in the fresh air and sunshine and socialize. While there are some days I am not as happy, mostly I am happy. I realize it is my responsibility to make myself happy and a better person. So with that said, I would highly recommend Atria as a place for our valuable older loved ones to reside.

My mother has been at Atria South for over two years now and she absolutely loves it. Mother can not imagine a better place. The staff is attentive and caring, taking the time to find what she needs and what she enjoys. One wait staff, for example, recently asked me if mother has a favorite recipe so that the chef Daniel could prepare it for her. I often see staff helping residents take dogs for a walk or dog sit during meals. Many actives are offered each day and one can be as busy as she wants to be with exercise, sports, art, live entertainment and even monthly complimentary messages. Food is varied, healthy and tastily. This is home for mother and staff is family.

Alverna Podd loves Brian's history classes. We join together with many other residents. She likes what he talks about, such as how things have gotten better over time. Alverna likes going with her friend Homer because he helps her understand what the class is about, and then she appreciates the education the classes give her. She enjoys book swapping with Brian. She likes Jessie because she is funny. Alverna loves that her granddaughter is able to intern here as a college student at Atria because she gets to spend more time with her and loves her exercise classes.Don likes the waiter Renee. He's a very good guy.Homer feels that Brian is an excellent employee. He's a hard worker and is helpful to anyone who asks for help. Homer enjoys playing games that Brian offers. He also likes Laura for the same reasons. Jessie is friendly and helpful. She is a safe driver with the bus and is good about getting people to places they need to be.Audrey Ward is delighted to enjoy a freshly graduated college student ready to serve mature seniors with our busy schedule at Atria. We need spirit and dedication which we look forward to seeing from Sara. Keeping the mind and body active are all goals of all of us. We look forward to positive experiences with Sara."Pops" McCarty says that the most outstanding thing about all the staff here is that they are well trained and are great at what they do. They are very caring, friendly, and helpful to everybody. The staff make you feel like you are very special. A lot of them appear to be your best friend by their actions.Perry likes Jessie. He feels that she is easy to talk to, has good talking skills, and helps as much as she can with driving. She accommodates everybody with their needs. She is always there to help you. Perry also feels that Sara is easy to talk to and always wants the residents to be involved in her activities.Jim feels that the care we get from the caregivers is very satisfactory. They always take good care of all your needs that you can't do for yourself. Jim likes Lordes because she is very helpful with things you can't do for yourself, she knows what you need without you asking. She knows everyone's personality and what each person likes and dislikes. Jim has been to other facilities, and this is THE BEST one. There are better employees and better food!Audrey says that Sara always has a smile on her face and has a nice figure and good posture. She is always there to help with the activities. I like to keep moving and doing exercise, so she is handy to have around. She is a good contribution to our activities.Beverly said that when she first got here, she didn't know anyone, and Victor was the first staff member she met that went out of his way to help me. After some time, she feels every staff member has helped her in some way and all of them go out of their way to make her stay an enjoyable one.Donna and Dorothy both feel that all the staff here are incredibly helpful and wonderful.

My husband and I care for his mother who moved to Atria South 8 months ago. We have enjoyed and appreciated the staff. Victor has been ever helpful and consistently kind and courteous. Rosa is always such a delight when she answers the telephone and kind-heartedly helpful at the front desk. The dining room and health care staff have, also, been so pleasant and available to help.

My Mum has been at Atria for several months now. It is an extremely difficult choice to put an aging loved one in the care of others. No option is 100% perfect, but Atria Encinitas South is as close as it gets. There are so many caring staff in every area. At breakfast my mother is greeted by name and her small pitcher of soy milk and glass of orange juice are waiting for her. Laura, Brian and Patti were so good about encouraging my mother's participation in all kinds of activities every day (physical, spiritual and mental). There are so many caregivers, but Octavia has been particularly supportive and caring of my mother and of me. Stephanie has risen to the challenge of assuming a greater role with the med-techs, and Bette does a super job on evening meds. Driver Bob allows me to stay at work rather than taking Mum to all her doctor's appointments. Thanks Atria!

I moved here to be close to my very ill wife, who was in a nearby Nursing Home. The staff at Atria could not have been more helpful and cooperative in taking me back and forth from the Nursing Home to see my wife dailySadly my wife passed away last October. Because I had moved to Atria, I now have a caring and supportive group of friends and staff to help me through my grief. I don't think I would have gotten through this process if not for the Grace of God helping me to find the Atria community.
