Grace, Remy, Connie, Stefanie, and the entire team at the watermark are fantastic! We have been there for seven months and since the beginning, they went/go above and beyond to help me navigate a really tough time for an Urgent admission. We had a bumpy transition due to some health issues for my mom they were accommodating, helpful, flexible, supportive, and really worked with our needs to ensure we were happy and supported. The facility is extremely clean, great activities and the food is good. So grateful for finding the Watermark and all of their help.

Seven years ago my sister moved into The Watermark by the Bay. She had been ill for some time and had tried several other assistive living facilities without finding an acceptable facility. Once she landed in The Watermark by the Bay, she had found her new home. The physical facilities at Watermark are nice but it has been the people who work there that made the difference. The staff performs their work with a kindness and love that can’t be matched. My sister passed away a week ago. Reflecting on the last seven years, my sister’s time at Watermark was a Godsend. We could not have done this stage of life any better and Watermark was a big part of this. As I go forward, several of the people who work at Watermark will remain friends because they are exceptional people who made the last years of my sisters life better. These people and The Watermark made a difference in the waning years of my sister’s life and that is not always easy, but they managed find ways to do it. I will be forever grateful to them.

I love the Watermark. The whole staff there hosts my company’s LGBTQ+ senior social luncheon. Stephanie, Grace, Remy, and the Christinas are amazing. We have a group of about 40-50 seniors that come every month, and everyone feels so welcome and leaves with smiles in their faces. Thank you all!

I was at the Watermark recently celebrating Senior Pride. The facility was warm and inviting. The staff were helpful and welcoming. And I cannot forget about the food. It was delicious and plentiful. I thank you Watermark for a wonderful Pride celebration. 2/23/24 I was at a luncheon today with Lavendar Seniors celebrating Black history month as guests of Watermark. Once again the staff were warm and welcoming to everyone and accommodating to everyone's needs. The food was like homemade with love care. The kitchen staff know what their doing. Being there with friends and community makes it a friendly place to be.

I met with Grace Starr for the tour. The memory care facility at Watermark was welcoming, thoughtful, and tidy with kindhearted people. However, there are not enough Spanish speaking residents or caregivers for our 94 year old mom who has resorted to speaking in her native language as a result of her advanced dementia. Also, the cost with care is more than we can afford. Thank you for your time, but we will need to explore other options. Should anything change, we will let you know. Again, thank you!

This is such a wonderful location, so many thing to do just outside the door. The staff is dedicated and fun. There's always something fun and interesting to do, so many activities. You feel safe having help so close by. And no worries about keeping up with a house.

I attended a function at The Watermark Care and Memory Center today. The staff was very accommodating with their friendly attention. The facility treated our group to not only a fantastic luau feast, but a stirring Hulu Troupe who entertained with exciting dances. A wonderful experience.

I have two friends who live at Watermark by the Bay in Emeryville and I visit them once a week. It is a very pleasant place, clean and well decorated. The staff is friendly and helpful. There are activities for the residents everyday throughout the day including regular outings. I especially like the art room on the fifth floor where residents can be creative. The lobby is cozy where residents can socialize. It includes a fireplace, snacks and soft music playing. Watermark is the best assisted living residence I have ever been to.

Hi there!! My pop Joseph lives there and has only been there two months and he’s been very well taken care of. He has memory loss and the group has been really good with him.I recommend this place to any family that needs to take care of their family member with dementia. They are extremely gentle, understanding, and kind to the residents there as well as their family members I appreciate them very much.

I took a tour of the wonderful facility and I was sooo impressed. The staff and management are caring and respected by the by the residents. The Watermark is an oasis in the bay for seniors, elders and their families. The staff is not only friendly but always go above and beyond to make me feel welcomed. I am always greeted and asked if I need anything and that never goes unnoticed. The facility is beautiful and kept immaculate. I couldn't think of another place I would recommend more.

I am most thankful to have found The Watermark after an extensive search! My 90 year old mother was surely in need of assisted-living care. We moved her there several months ago into a remarkably spacious, bright, and tidy apartment. The whole facility looks positively "upscale." They keep the place immaculate. My mother is very happy there and well taken care of. She has only positive things to say about the kind and conscientious caretakers. I agree! I live in San Francisco, so the drive over to visit her is less than 1/2 hour. I equally appreciate that the costs are solidly competitive with other offerings we explored. I am most positive about the whole experience there. I feel fortunate to have found the place.

This is such a big decision. We toured a few locations and knew the moment we walked into Watermark by the Bay that this was my mom's new home. Grace and Stephanie are wonderful as is each and every staff member - they are kind and caring and take their time with the residents. The facility is beautiful and feels like a warm, welcoming hotel rather than an assisted living facility. The food is fantastic and thoughtful. The rooms are spacious and well appointed and my mom felt at home immediately. So happy and relieved to have found such a wonderful new home for my mom.

Grace Starr, marketing director at Watermark by the Bay is a Rock Star! She went beyond the call of duty to help our client (Preferred Placement) move to assisted living within a few days. Client was in "crisis" and needed immediate placement. She got the support from her executive director and nurse to make this complicated move happen seamlessly. Great teamwork. I am so grateful to "The Watermark By The Bay, Memory-Care" facility for all that they do for my loved-one who suffers with Alzheimer's/Dementia! My family member has been a resident for the past three years - taking residency just prior to the pandemic. Watermark is an all inclusive facility that works to meet all of the residents' daily living-care, medical-care, social activities, and nutritional requirements. Let me say that Watermark was recently renovated and offers a simply warm and beautiful remodel which always presents clean, fresh, and odorless for residents and their visitors - this is in addition to the residents' personal living space/apartments managed by housekeeping. The care staff are very kind, patient and professional and it is clear that they have a true calling for their line of work, and they not only care for my loved-one, but they also build and maintain a genuine relationship with the residents over time. They treat my loved-one with respect and dignity which is very much appreciated. Watermark's food/meals, in my loved ones words, is delicious! Not only does the chef take their role and responsibility seriously, there is a menu that recommends daily entr©e/specials for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Similarly, there is also an a la cart menu in which residents can ask for a made to order meal each day, if they prefer. It should be noted that desserts are highly regarded and bring a bright spot to each resident's day and that all meals are delivered by kind and warm servers who truly care and connects with the residents. Watermark is not just an assisted living facility that specializes in memory care, the staff are kind and gracious, have good communication and comradery amongst themselves, and that translates into an overall great care facility for my loved-one’s benefit. I am so grateful to Watermark for keeping my loved-one safe and Covid-free during the entire pandemic, grateful for Watermark for providing daily living-care and medical-care, grateful to Watermark for keeping my loved-one well fed with nutritious and yummy meals (because food matters!), and for providing my loved-one with options for ongoing fun and social activities (for example, walks, creating flower arrangements, music provided by a favorite senior band, sing-alongs with the other residents and pianist, tv and movie nights, etc.). I highly recommend and thank "The Watermark By The Bay, Memory-Care" facility in Emeryville because of ALL that they do which is highly valued and warmly received by myself, family and friends, and my loved-one!

When you think of placing your mom or dad or uncle or aunt in a secured, serene senior living community, think of Watermark by the Bay. This is the Tesla of senior living; a five star luxury retirement community for the seniors. The food is outstandingly scrumptious. The chef, Christina and her team are very nice, caring and professionals; and they make quality and healthy meals. I eat here all the time! The management team are very wonderful, hardworking and caring human beings. Kevin, the ED, is an astute manager who is detail-oriented, and will always make out time to listen to you. The Front desk team are very prompt and professionals whose customer service is second to none. The nursing team are very professionals too who provide quality care for the seniors. I like the way they have handled the COVID-19 pandemic, testing both the staff and residents every Tuesdays and Wednesdays. You guys are doing wonderful job‘‘ I highly recommend this place!

Thankfully, Watermark by the Bay, Emeryville, does not just follow standard Elder Care "requirements;" its intuitive staff anticipates personal needs with gestures that go far beyond keeping a resident healthy....Watermark by the Bay individualizes offerings--even in this challenging time of COVID--to ensure a resident is happy as well. This beautiful community knows the little things, such as folding laundry with care, seasoning soup with special flavors, delivering the newspaper promptly, scheduling an interesting Ted Talk, sending cards following the death of a spouse mean so much. Our family is very grateful for our sister's thoughtful supervision. The Watermark misses nothing, gives from both the mind and the heart, and communicates with us beautifully. This is a clean and seemingly cheerful assisted living community. There's live music in the foyer from 11:30 am - Noon, daily. The residents seem happy. But if memory care or nursing care is needed, or any attention beyond laundry / meals/ lodging / activities, residents have to organize, provide and pay for those needs on their own. This is not an advanced stage memory care facility, but rather is mainly for cognitive impairment disorder fragile elders. So if they sense that a resident is having serious memory issues, they liaise with the guardian of the elder and require, for the safety of the elder, that safe care be provided independently. Since this is a multi-story locked facility, fragile elders must be attended to go outdoors for shopping or walks.
