I met with Helen and Janelle to see if this was the right place for my grandma. Helen gave me an incredible tour of their facility and I got to meet some of their residents. It is incredibly clean and beautiful inside, you can tell the residents are comfortable. We spoke for a couple of hours about what I am looking for and about mt grandmother. They made me feel at ease and with a feeling of trust. I know my grandmother would be in kind and capable hands here when the time comes.

I have been to Sunrise of Carmichael on multiple occasions for staff training on CPR and first aid, and they are always receptive to the training. The facility is clean and the care staff genuinely cares about providing great care to their residents. I definitely recommend Sunrise of Carmichael!

There are too many problems with this survey, like the question about the waiting staff - some are really good and other are definitely not. I agree with my brother that this survey should have been sent to the residents - not their relatives. One woman here never talks to her daughter - how can you possibly get an answer from that daughter? The attitude of the staff if that everyone here has demetia, with the exception of myself and Ricky, so how would they know what they are saying? This is unfair and untrue. Most of the resident, at least on the first floor, are certainly with it enough to answer these questions. it's like Sunrise wanted this golden glow from the comments of people who are glad to not have their relatives around.

As a hospice chaplain I visit frequently. I am always impressed. The cleanliness, the amenities, and most of all, the staff are first rate. I've had opportunity to observe staff/resident interactions literally dozens of times. The first thing you notice is the genuine affection displayed. There is a family feeling, a familiarity that only comes from spending real time with the residents. I would not hesitate to recommend Sunrise, without any reservations.

I much appreciate the staff caring for my young adult daughter who has a progressive neurodegenerative illness. She needs help with all ADLs and all staff members are friendly and attentive to her. Staff members are available to assist with travel to clinic appointments and the nursing staff interface with the hospice team. Special thanks to Chef Jamie for meals prepared so that my daughter can more easily eat them.
