Beautiful grounds and common areas to live. Staff is very caring, sensitive, and loving. Rates went up 10% and is now so costly. Maintenance is disappointing. Roof leak 6 months ago and the ceiling is still not painted. Blinds on bedroom window have been chipped, cracked, and broken for 6 months and still no replacement. Bathroom is tired and shower needs a good scrubbing as well as carpeting in room. Stained and not cleaned. Expensive place to live for these maladies. We will have to look at other considerations.

After my mom had a bad fall and had to go to skilled nursing, we were no longer able to take care of her at home any longer and had to find an alternative in a hurry. I am forever grateful to Sunrise of Belmont for taking care of everything in a short time! It isn't an easy adjustment moving from your home to assisted living but thanks to the great environment at Sunrise, mom took the transition very well. Although we later moved her to be closer to family, I haven't found caregivers with the level of initiative that Jackie, Maria and the others at Sunrise show daily. Sunrise also did a great job coordinating with doctors, pharmacies, and insurance so that after the first week or two I rarely ever had to get involved in that side of things, which is a huge relief--also not something I find to be quite as good at other facilities. Just an exceptionally well-run and well-staffed assisted living facility!

Sunrise of Belmont is a breath of fresh air! The leadership team is responsive, enthusiastic and passionate about the care they offer to our aging population. The care provided by the staff is top notch! They truly go above and beyond at this assisted living community.

My mother moved to Sunrise at the age of 91. She has told me several times that it was the best decision she ever made. She loves the staff, and they seem to love her right back! She is very social and has enjoyed the movies, games and activities Sunrise has to offer. I'm happy to know they make sure she comes to the dining room and check on her if she hasn't shown up at her regular times. It has been a great location for her. We are very thankful! A special thank you to the dining room staff who she enjoys daily. 🙂 (Mind you, her adult life was devoted to helping seniors with advocacy whether it be with health insurance, housing, etc. She knows what she's talking about.)

Sunrise is a beautiful cozy community. Very clean. The staff seemed very experienced and very friendly! Each person we encountered made us feel welcome. They have different levels of care available for when my loved ones care needs change which I really like and they have a specialized medication team to assist with passing medications when needed.

It’s really a great place. It’s more like home then a care facility. it’s a very caring, serene facility. They take great care of my mom and I’m very thankful for that. Their staff is very caring and very friendly.

We moved my mother-in-law to Sunrise of Belmont in November of 2021. Since she has been living there we have been very impressed with the level of care she has been receiving. The caregivers and nurses have been wonderful. She is in the assisted living part. The food and menu choices are also very nice. The facility is unite clean, comfortable and welcoming. The management has been lovely to work with, even purchasing a beautiful mahjong set so we could play with her and teach others as well.

I feel that Sunrise has been the perfect place for my mom, we are grateful we made the change from her previous facility. Staff are all present and involved. Food is very good, and we continue to be so happy being part of the Sunrise family.

This staff is highly trained in each of the area, admin, Care Mgrs., Nurses, Kitchen, et al. The Life Enrichment activities are based of the science of what seniors need and desire. The building is in a stunning Victorian style and the common areas are both beautiful and spotless. In addition, our residents, that we treat as family, can enjoy our great Bay Area climate for either our indoor or outdoor porches WITH rocking chairs. The respect, kindness, and joy we extend to our residents we extend to each other as employees. I wouldn't hesitate to let my parents experience all the joy in the building were they to need it.

My mom is very happy here and so am I! I wouldn't trust her to just anyone. I highly recommend the very competent and compassionate workers at Sunrise Belmont. Not to mention the great variety of stores across the street (bagels, waterdog saloon, nearby library, etc)

Expensive, not a lot of value. Place is depressing and boring. They only want residents that will sit there and not require any staff time.

I have to take this opportunity to call out some of my favorite Unsung Heroes during the COVID19 pandemic -- the team and care givers at Sunrise in Belmont. When my dad took a huge fall in early December and my mom was too confused to know how to dial 9-1-1, we knew it was time for them to move out of their much-loved home in San Luis Obispo. All my care and planning to have the right team and doctors just a phone call away so they could stay at home failed all at the same time in the most spectacular way. Sunrise has been a godsend -- not only right after I moved my parents up, but during this pandemic. I cannot imagine WHAT we would be doing if my parents were still isolated and in their home alone. I wish we had done this sooner! The team has been TOP NOTCH during this pandemic -- they were screening visitors WAY early in the game...and they stopped allowing visitors before it was mandated. While its hard not seeing my parents, I appreciate their tenacity in keeping the residents safe. Its a relief to know that these hard-working folks are taking this so seriously. Ive seen first hand when that isnt the case! They call me at least weekly to check in and give me updates. They organize facetime calls. They help set up laptops and email. Oh, and they are working CRAZY LONG hours trying to make sure that everyone is well cared for. THANKS SUNRISE OF BELMONT.

This community seemed a little too large for my loved one. He did not feel comfortable with the large dining room. He also was not able to take advantage of the many amenities and activities they offer. The staff were very nice. This community was also a little farther away than the new place we moved them to.

Beautiful, clean, great location, and the most friendly people in the world. Love all the planned activities, they really keep my Mom busy and this is great for her mind. I was so worried about moving Mom but the staff was super making her feel welcomed. Mom loves the food and told me the best part was not having to cook her own meals! Mom resisted moving for so long but we finally had to move her for her own safety so glad we chose Sunrise! The price is high but I feel it is worth the cost.

They take great care of old folks here. I used to volunteer in high school. We gave the elderly folks nice little warm-towel hand massages and hung out, chatted, listened to their stories.
