After crashing my motorcycle two months earlier I ended up being recommended to Waters Edge by several people who work in the segment of health care. In a month of residency I was constantly impressed with the genuinely good spirits of all personnel top to bottom. That made a tough time almost enjoyable. I will certainly miss the fresh and delicious food more than anything though.

My dad has lived at the Waters Edge Lodge for the last (approx.) 6 years. It has been a very good experience. They have done an amazing job keeping the residents safe and healthy throughout COVID. They treat the residents like family. The staff members are kind, compassionate and respectful. I must say, it gives the family peace of mind knowing that Papa Joe is so well taken care of!

My wife, Katherine, has been taking an AES class at Waters Edge Lodge (sponsored through Mastick Senior Center) aimed at improving balance and reducing falls. After several weeks of instruction, her balance and gait while walking have improved. She likes the instructor, Jérémy, very much. She says he is consistent in his directions, very patient and seems to really care about the well-being of the members of the class.

My 91 year old mother has been a happy resident at Waters Edge Lodge for 7 years. During that time, she has had some health issues, and has managed to not only survive, but thrive. The fantastic staff and the dear friends she has met there have played an important part in each of her recoveries, and the care that she has received throughout the pandemic has made a scary time much more manageable. The staff and Management made sure that there were enough safe activities to keep residents engaged and active, and they stayed on top of new developments. I dont know how we would have gotten through it without them. The staff are always available and always willing to help. They are respectful and professional while still conveying warmth and compassion. I feel like they love my mother as much as I do! I am confident in recommending Waters Edge Lodge to anyone looking for an assisted living community.

My mom has been living there for about 5 years now - she is very well taken care of, and they have a variety of fitness and exercise programs to keep people healthy. With the COVID pandemic over the course of the last year, they have been extremely careful and cautious about ensuring the safety of the residents - I really appreciate all theyve been doing to go above and beyond during this scary time...

My mom feels safe and well cared for at this facility. She has been a resident for two years. Independent senior living with several levels of assistance available. The facility is in a beautiful location. The common areas of the facility are spacious, clean nicely appointed, very homey. The administrative staff and staff in general are caring and often go the extra mile to tend to small things that make daily life happier for the residents.There are many group activities, suited to diverse interests. And for those looking during the Covid 19 time - the residents health is the primary concern for the Lodge. There is good communication between the Lodge staff, the residents and the residents family members. Highly recommend.

I needed to find respite care for my husband with only a few weeks notice in September. Everyone at Waters Edge Lodge was wonderful and very helpful from start to finish. Doing anything in the middle of a pandemic is a challenge. They made it easy for me to focus on my work while traveling. I would use them again in a heart beat for his care if-when needed.

After careful consideration of the senior living facilities in the area, my Aunt moved here a couple years ago. She could not be more pleased with her new home. While I was worried that she would miss the comfort of her house, she instead was so happy to have great meals made for her, a movie every night in the special movie room and daily cookies and ice cream (yes, she has a sweet tooth!). I was very happy to have her medications all handled on site, activities-outings always taking place and opportunities for family to spend monthly special events with her and other Water Edge residents. Plus, pre-Covid, sharing meals in the dining room (for a low price) was extra special. I have actually called to have them check why she isnt answering her phone-no problem, they got back to me with an answer while I waited on hold. She has fallen a couple times-they notified me right away, even when completely uninjured. Flu shots? Handled. Needed help with washing hair? Not a problem. The staff is great.(Shoutout to Enrique and Baby). Couldnt be happier. Obviously this level of care isnt free. But to know my Aunt is taken care of, and she is content and happy, worth every penny.

My mother has been a resident at the Lodge for over 10 years. She moved there at 84 due to vision loss from macular degeneration. The Lodge is family owned, and the owners and staff are truly like family to us too, in all the best ways. My mother feels secure and safe and loved and well cared for. And I, as the family member who manages her needs and engages with staff regularly, feel the same way. Because she is. They care, they listen, they respond, and they are totally on top of any situation that arises and needs special attention. I highly recommend the Lodge for anyone looking for an assisted living community in the Bay Area.

Caring
My mother was a resident of The Lodge for over 3 years. She enjoyed her time there. She was able to find a group to play bridge with and had a great time at bingo every night. The owners are genius at hiring caring and compassionate employees. My mother had some mild cognitive impairment and the staff was wonderful to her. I highly recommend The Lodge. Your loved ones could not be better taken care of.

We moved my dad to Waters Edge Lodge in May 2017, and couldn't be happier with how well he is taken care of. The Caregivers, Nursing Staff, and Admins are great! We no longer worry as we know he is in good hands. Due to his level of care he resides on the first floor receiving premium care which is all inclusive unlike most facilities that are a la carte. We had visited several facilities, and were getting discouraged until we walked in to Waters Edge Lodge and immediately knew we had found the best place for my dad. His room has a beautiful view of the lagoon, and he enjoys nightly Bingo and Movies. They also have activiies throughout the day, and if he needs to go to Safeway or CVS there is a walking path that leads right to the shopping center. We visit dad 2 - 3 times a week and both the employees and the residents always seem genuinely happy...which tells me alot! We also enjoy the fresh Peets coffee and Otis Spunkmeyer cookies in the cafe while we visit with dad :-).
