Cheryl was outstanding in her care and attentiveness to our mutual client. You could tell that she really cares about all the residents, and that this is more than a job to her. From the moment we stepped in she was kind, professional and made our client feel at ease right away. Transitioning to independent living is not an easy move, but Cheryl is essential in making it possible for elders.

My mum has lived at Terraces for a year . She was looking for a place that was close to her previous home , had walking paths, and an environment where she could do activities with other residents and also have privacy and space for herself. Terraces provides this and a lot more . The staff are friendly, they know everyone by name and are extremely helpful. Activities are varied and residents can choose what they want to do. Musical performances , outings to parks ,shops and cultural events are highlights but there are also regular activities every week including exercise classes and movies.There is no pressure to do anything if you don't want to. The management, recreational coordinators, chef and support team are always available for questions and are highly visible on a daily basis .Terraces is a warm and welcoming community and you feel it as soon as you walk through the front doors.

Once I walked into the Terraces on 7th, the lady that I met named Cheryl, very professional and welcoming. I can see from her face that I had chosen the right place as my new sweet home! My family members congratulated me that I found the right place to happy and independent. Lara the manager is very professional and experienced to look after the needs of seniors.

My mother is a relatively new resident at the Terraces on 7th, but she has been welcomed into the community right from day one. The management and the entire staff have been absolutely wonderful. Cheryl, the Community Relations Manager is a sincere and caring professional who makes sure everyone is well looked after. This gives me a great level of comfort as I unfortunately live too far away to visit regularly. Thank you to everyone at the Terraces, I am grateful that my mother is in a such a caring and safe environment.

A friend of the family moved into this recommend senior living building. She liked it so much that she decided to buy a permanent apartment. The location is convenient for all lower mainland visitors and the staff and facilities make all the difference for this stage of living comfortably. This building is very close to V.G.H.

I simply cannot say enough positive about my experience moving my 78 yo mom and 90 yo dad into the Terraces on 7th in July 2023. They are absolutely thriving and every time I speak with them they excitedly tell me about the delicious meals they have, the fun activities they participate in, the many new friends they have made and how wonderful the staff all are! Their longtime friends have all noticed a dramatic change in their mood; they are so much more relaxed and happy. Several outside friends have come to visit and now enviously refer to the Terraces like being on a cruise, with the ready availability of great food, a movie theater, music and art activities, etc. The 5th floor dining room has an amazing view of Vancouver, the mountains, and English Bay. The move-in experience was seamless and Cheryl went "above and beyond" in so many ways. I took my parents to visit six independent living facilities in Vancouver and it was the Terraces on 7th that they fell in love with due its proximity to the city and the buzz and energy of the Granville St and Broadway area where they could continue to walk easily to their favorite coffee shops and meet up with friends. The Terraces on 7th has so many positive attributes that have transformed my parents lives and I cannot recommend this facility and the staff highly enough!

I have been researching independent living homes for my Mother in Vancouver. Once finding Terraces I knew it was the right place! Bright, airy, all suites have a semi full kitchen, balcony and separate bedroom. The use of space and storage impressive. The dining room has large windows and is beside the open roof top terrace and is bright and opens to a wonderful terrace where families can picnic, visit , or find a sunny spot to read. The staff seem very attentive although not overly. There is moving yoga and different excursions.. the location is very central and independence easy with the buses and soon skytrain. Jason, the relations manager was so helpful, thorough, understanding and really set the tone of the facility. When the time is right this will be the place where I know my mother will have a community, support, and happily be able to call home.

My mother has been living at Terraces for a year and a half. She is extremely happy and thriving there. She lives in a bright one bedroom suite with a view of the city and mountains, and has a functional kitchen, separate bedroom and bathroom with a shower and separate bath. The building also underwent a huge renovation to modernize the reception area, cafe, Library with fireplace, the hair salon and new massage/therapy room, dining room and the huge outdoor terrace where they hold BBQs and special events during the summer. My mother has blossomed thanks to the many new friends she's met at the dining room and at all the activities she participates in at Terraces, including the lovely weekly concerts and Happy Hour, chair yoga, stretching and exercise classes, weekly bridge, intellectual games and discussions groups on various topics (current affairs, personal motivations, books in Terraces' extensive library, etc.). She wishes she had more free time to attend the weekly outings and nightly movies shown in their cinema! The staff, Leadership Team and the Director Lara are always eager to please and bend over backwards to meet everyone's needs or special requests. I would encourage anyone who wants to thrive in their senior years to live at Terraces. You'll love it too!

Terraces on 7th is an amazing community. The residents and staff are all very friendly. There always seems to be something for the residents to participate in. The front desk staff are very welcoming when entering the building. I highly recommend coming and checking them out

Terraces on 7th is one of the most welcoming communities and that includes the residents, staff and management. Wellness, Reception, house keeping, recreation and kitchen staff all make sure you are well taken care of and all departments are open to continous feedback. Overall great people, clean and chic living spaces and a wonderful environment to be in.

The Terraces is BEAUTIFUL! It is so warm and welcoming. It is located right off of Granville, so lots of shopping, yummy bakeries, and a Starbucks! I got a tour of some of the rooms. WOW! Some of the rooms have a view right into the downtown core. I can even watch the fireworks clearly from here. The staff is great, very welcoming. Lara the General Manager, truly cares about her staff and residents. Lots of fun activities to participate in. This is truly a wonderful location. Options for Assisted Living as well, which is good to know if needed I can add services on later, like bathing, medication reminders...etc. Overall very impressed.

Terraces on 7th has been absolutely amazing for my Nana. Since we found this peaceful and perfect place for my Nana to relocate after selling her home( for over 40 years), it has been nothing but spectacular! Leaving your family home at 93 can be so daunting and scary. She was anxious about being somewhere new, and welcomed with open arms and patient love. The residences are spacious, bright, clean and beautifully appointed for mobility and accessibility for seniors. There is ample room for her and her walker to move around and even a balcony for some fresh air. Air conditioning makes it comfortable all year round. It took her a few months to get accustomed to joining the group dining - but now it is something she treasures. Having delicious and nutritious meals prepared every day, has taken the worry away from her family. We know she is getting the best possible diet at every meal. Many evenings she calls me to say what a lovely meal she's had for dinner. And the social aspect has become a huge part of her life. She has made more sincere friendships in the last 3.5 years than the last 40 years of her life! The daily activities are expansive and varied. She has so many options to consider , from bus trips to exercise, to group games or projects. The endless musical entertainment has been so stimulating and fun for her to be part of. Moving to Terraces on 7th has been the best thing I could have ever imagined for my dear Nana. The staff is SO exceptional and they are like family to her. I would recommend Terraces on 7th to anyone who has a special family member who is ready to transition to a first class senior living residence. My Nana is completely happy, safe and thriving.
