My dad is an 84-year-old retired veteran who lives alone. After several falls and emergency room visits, my brother and I realized it was time to have someone regularly checking on him and assisting with walking and personal hygiene to help ensure his safety. While his mind remains sharp and he makes good decisions, his body has simply started showing its age. Unfortunately, my brother and I could not be with him every day. I reached out to A Place At Home in 2022 and met with the owner and RN. What stood out to me immediately was how relationship-oriented and caring they were, rather than making it feel like just another business transaction. They also helped us navigate obtaining payment for care through the VA, which was a tremendous help. We have continued using their services ever since. My dad now has a caregiver 7 days a week for 3 hours each day. I cannot fully describe the peace of mind it gives me knowing that someone is checking on him daily and assisting with his needs. Because he has caregiver support, when I spend time with my dad, I get to simply be his daughter and enjoy visiting with him rather than focusing entirely on caregiving responsibilities. His caregivers have truly gone above and beyond in providing companionship, kindness, and assistance that allow him to continue living independently in his own home. My dad has rated his last four caregivers all as 10s, which says a great deal about the quality of care and relationships they have built with him.

I have recently signed on with A Place At Home for help caring for my wife. I have been in the healthcare field for 30 plus years, and as such, my expectations are high. This is the most professional group of individuals I have ever spoken with. After our first conversation over the phone, I stopped looking for care elsewhere. They are flexible, understand my unique situation and needs, and communication is excellent. The staff that have come to see us are professional, experienced, deeply caring and have an overall calm demeanor that is certainly pleasant. If you are looking for home health for yourself or a loved one, I can’t recommend A Place At Home any higher, they are who you will want!

I took in my disabled uncle and once it was discovered how far his dementia was the VA provided some home care hours for him. I first used a different company called Right at Home and after so many scheduling mistakes, dropped balls and lies I switched to A Place at Home. This company has hit it out of the park. They encourage the aides to talk to us (the family) to establish the best care and schedule. They constantly check in on how things are going and if we need anything. The aides they send are trustworthy and caring. I cannot say enough good about them!!

Spoke with the company. They knew the exact needs and situation. Schedule of who and when was worked out. Day one went well. Days two and three no one showed and the company never called. The excuse given was they couldn't find the client's phone number. This left the client scrambling to find assistance as well as food and water for the day.

A Place at Home is superior to the firms that have previously cared for my wife. I would certainly give them the full 5 stars. I'm especially fond of Caregivers Sabrinia Gray and Vicki Phipps. They are both caring, compassionate and supportive. They go above and beyond the care I've received from previous firms. I've learned a lot from them that help me be a better caregiver. I will be out of town the last week of the month and I'm at ease knowing Sabrinia and Vicki are giving my wife the 24 hour a day care she deserves. D.C. Ritchie is a RN with A Place at Home and visits regularly to gives extra support to me and to the caregiver. I'm not aware of other firms that include this service. Office employees are very kind and courteous. Last but not least is the way they handle billings. I don't have to submit the bill to the insurance company, but I receive a copy to review and comment. A Place at Home takes care of that. I would be happy to discuss the firm with a Potential Client.

Being a part of this agency has been a blessing. The nurse Ladyce Ritchie has made the journey very easy. Always checking in , going out of her way to make sure we have all we need and then some!! Honestly if your deciding to use this agency ask for Ladyce!! She is very involved with all your care and has the best bed side manners we had during our journey of healing!! Shout out to the rest of staff too, always on call and getting back to you in a timely manner. A Place At Home was at the top of the Google list and after reading stellar reviews, I called them. Natalie brought two of her people, Sherry and DC, to initial assessment and they were all so friendly, and focused on what I needed. Then they sent Judy and I can't rave enough about her. We were referred to A Place at Home by another client who was very complimentary. We were seeking care for my 98-year-old Mother who was starting to fail. Once we met the Natalie and her Agency staff, we understood why. They were very professional, very organized, and very quick to respond. The aide they sent, Brenda A., is a miracle worker. My Mother loves her and she goes above and beyond in serving Mom's needs. She's an exceptional provider, sweet, understanding, patient, and keeps the family informed at all times. Natalie and various staff, too, also keep us up to date on billing and are very responsive in terms of suggesting next steps: in our case palliative care, and eventually hospice. I recommend A Place at Home without reservation. They are exceptional.

This is the best place you could imagine. I have called them last minute to assist with my grandparents on a Friday night and they were able to spin up help that night and ongoing days. Natalie and her team were the kindest people you will ever meet. The healthcare team did an amazing job with my grandfather who was just out of the hospital. They came to our home and explained all the options, billing, and long term care options. They are affordable, responsible, and mostly kind. This is Melissa Morgan and I cannot say enough about the great experience we have had with A Place At Home start to finish. I was put in a position where both of my parents fell at the same time, my father breaking his hip and in turn putting me in a position where I had to put my mom in respite car in a nursing home until he fully recovered. I was in touch with them the morning after it happened and they had someone caring for my father almost full time 24 hours a day by the morning after he was released from the hospital. Natali and her staff have been on top of literally everything we have needed since the beginning and she and her staff are some of the quickest responders I have ever encountered when we have questions. A Place At Home took an incredibly scary situation for me as an only child into taking a weight off my shoulders and my parents shoulders as well. My mother is now home and my dad recovered in record time, of which I give the caregivers credit. We have loved the caregivers and cannot say enough for the peace of mind they have given us this entire time. If you are looking for a caregiver, look no further than Natali and her team. I made one of the best choices of my life when I chose A Place at Home to provide care for my husband and respite for me, his primary caregiver. I have used and interviewed other agencies; this one is by far the best. Natalie Watts, the owner, has gone out of her way, coming to my house many times to help me navigate the complexities of applying for grants and making a claim for my husband's long term care insurance. I am never alone with problems; she and her well-trained, good-humored staff are there with answers and strategies. The staff is professional and compassionate, including a registered nurse and a scheduler with infinite patience. The caregivers are extremely well trained; the nurse came to our home to train each one who would be helping us. My husband enjoys their sense of humor and fun and the respect, interest, and independence they give him. The caregivers reflect the ethics of the agency--honesty, punctuality, trustworthiness. A Place at Home feels like family. In short, we could not be more amazed and satisfied.
