Working in Home Health & Hospice, I visit several facilities regularly. Regency stands out in multiple ways: *It is well staffed with awesome people. I've been in places where I've walked around for several minutes trying to find an employee with no success. That has never happened to me at Regency. * A Well established, dependable business. It is one of the older communities in town with some residents living there for 10+ years. You don't have to worry about them selling out, changing names, or going out of business. I recently watched a facility decide to shut down their memory care unit. They gave no warning and suddenly told the families they had 30 days to move their loved one somewhere else. Regency has proven over the years to be dependable. * Regency has a great location. In Tuscaloosa, they are the closest Retirement center to the interstate. You can get to and from their village easily making it great if you want to drop in for a quick visit. Some of the other places require you to fight a traffic jam to get there.

Everyone is kind and courteous. Every resident and families are treated uniquely according to their circumstances. My sister has exasperated me on numerous occasions but I try to be mindful of her unique perspective. It helps to see Regency from the eye of a retired nurse (as I am). My Dad has lived at the Regency Retirement Center for around ten years. His room is always clean, well maintained and flooded with natural light. The staff is always courteous, friendly and professional. Most importantly, my Dad loves it there! We couldn’t be more satisfied with the accommodations. Regency is a lovely facility! The resident that I went to visit was not there at the time, but I checked in without any difficulty, temperature was taken and I was made to feel so very welcome.I cannot wait to visit again! So glad Regency serves residents, families and Tuscaloosa!

My 75 year old sister just became a resident in the memory care unit. Beaki Powell has been remarkable on getting her settled at the Regency along with Nurses Denise and Tom. I am very pleased with our communication working together to make this more enjoyable for my sister! I am so grateful ❤

As a nurse visiting patients I received help from several employees including Alma, Rhonda, Brittany and Von all of whom were wonderful, kind and informative. Everyone stopped and helped me with a smile. The patients were in activities room singing and dancing in their seats out loud to old songs. I could not help but sing along. It was the most wonderful visit and made my day!

I am very happy with moving into this nice community. The community has the great staff that is caring and always make sure that things are taken care of. The community offers great activities that are offered for us to participate. They have a lot of healthy meals with a good variety. I would highly recommend this community to other families.

I'm doing well in this community. I like it very much here. I picked them because it was the best deal with the most inclusive. I have a garden room with 3 meals a day. I'm not really big on activities but I do attend some the activities they offer. The meals are pretty good. The staff are very helpful.
