My mom has been here for 10 months, and although, she was resistant at first, she loves it now. I love how this place is both nonrestrictive, but can offer modified nursing plans for individualized needs. It is a wonderful and special in its category.

This place is exquisite! The staff is extremely trustworthy. One of their tenants helps me sell collectables and I lost almost 10K worth. Mary and Hunter both made sure my items weren’t stolen and 3 days later they had them safely in their office for me. I cannot express my level of gratitude for these amazing people who work here!

Asher Point is great. Mary was very helpful and nice. The one thing that makes this place even better is Hunter the sales and marketing director. He always went above and beyond. He was always helping even if it wasn’t his job. I can’t say enough good things about Asher Point. This is a great place for your loved ones.

My mom has been here for about a year now. I'm not sure why things are so inconsistent. Perhaps there is a problem retaining good help (usually solved by increased pay), but my mom's room goes weeks without being cleaned. Also, there seem to be issues with the garbage A LOT lately. I'm not sure if it is an employee problem or an Asher Point problem, but garbage often stays in her room much longer than it should. The rent goes up every year. The price of their meals have increased for visitors, but the place just doesn't seem to be improving. I may eventually have to find her another place to live.

My Mom loved it but as time went on and she started declining I used the in house caregivers. At that time I was not happy with them. As long as you are able bodied and can be independent it was fine but I ended up putting my Mom in a 24/7 care at The Oaks. My suggestion is look for a home that can transition from assisted living to nursing care as to not disrupt their lives.

This place Truly feels like 'Home' to me... I lived at another Senior Living Community before moving here...And, Wow (!!!) What a Difference...,!!! They take care of you and keep an eye on you Without Infringing on your Privacy... Which is very important to me...I'm 65 and do not take well to being treated like a child...!!! Which they do not... I truly feel like I'm finally 'at home' here...

The Staff are very professional and kind, not to mention very caring. My Mother is 82 years old and absolutely loves Rocky Ridge! As her son and manager of her affairs it gives me great comfort knowing she feels safe and happy.

On behalf of James Russell Green we would like to thank the staff of the Rocky Ridge Retirement facility for its outstanding care while my father was there. The excellent treatment of Dad was above and beyond what one would expect and we were amazed. When dad arrived I had severe doubts as to how he would fair during his stay. He struggled with all the basic needs and was unable to accomplish much upon arrival. The group of angels were a Godsend and the added help from the staff provided the atmosphere needed for Dad to succeed. Michelle, who owner and operated of the Angels was very attentive to dads needs and her staff were each willing to assist and provide whatever we needed. Mary and her staff, Tab, Quincey and Jamie were at the top of their game and it shows. It is with love that the Green family expresses its thanks to a great group of young ladies and their obvious love for their jobs. PS and yes Glory dad misses you too!…

We have valued having a family member at Rocky Ridge. It is difficult to manage a facility like this and we really like some of the staff. Our main complaint is that they have suffered from quite a bit of staff turnover, and Atria bears the responsibility for that. The food, at times, can be lackluster. Wish they relied more upon home cooked casseroles and fresh vegetables vs hot dogs and canned corn.

The absolute BEST Independent Living Retirement community in the Birmingham area. After researching and interviewing virtually every Senior Living Facility for my mother, we chose Rocky Ridge. Every employee is genuinely happy to help the residents. The facility is spotless and meals are served in an inviting restaurant style dining area. Spacious sidewalks for my mother who walks 2 miles per day and activities for all. The facility is very reasonably priced, especially for the quality.

Don't put your parents here if they aren't still active. The word I heard from most from the elderly people who lived there was LONELY. These were the ones who went back to their apartments and were alone there. I was promised that my parents would be taken care of there medically and otherwise for the rest of their lives. The nurses who came in to treat patients like my mom .. dropped the proverbial ball and didn't continue to care for my mom adequately and left my dad who had vertigo to care for my mom's pressure wounds on the lower back side of her leg. My dad couldn't get on the floor to tend to her wounds and the infection went to her bone in her leg After 2 months in the hospital...my mom was to be released back to Rocky Ridge. That never happened due to social workers intervening at the hospital. My folks had to go to a nursing home which they weren't qualified by MEDICAID to be in...they ended up in a boarding home with a WONDERFUL caregiver before they both passed away. Before trying Rocky Ridge for parents who can't look after themselves properly....TRY a boarding home. I do NOT fault Rocky Ridge for any of the circumstances my parents faced in their last few years. That was on the visiting nurses. If your folks are active and drive and can take care of themselves.. Rocky Ridge is Awesome for them as a senior living facility... If not. Try other resources . And. If your folks are elderly and need care...hire an elder care lawyer before you make the next move on where to place your folks or anything else concerning them. Word to the wise...
