The Cottage has been a great experience for my Mom! This is actually her second time living here and she says it feels like coming home. The facility is always clean and the staff are welcoming and loving to the residents. I have peace knowing she is happy and taken care of at The Cottage.

Even though mom was very resistant to moving there, and quite the pain when she first got there, she has come to love it and considers it her apartment. She has freedom to move around and still gets to attend te morning sessions with the Hartselle Senior Center crowd. I recommend the cottages, the staff is quite responsive and takes care of the facility.

My grandmother is there and loves it. They are so nice and treat her very well. I can honestly say I'm very comfortable leaving and know she is in great hands.

We had reached a point with my dad of not knowing what we were going to do anymore! He was living with us and required constant attention and had numerous appts and health problems. I was worn out from dealing with all the stress. I clicked on "A Place for Mom" one day while browsing on Facebook and someone called me and referred us to Columbia Cottage. We talked to dad about possibly living there and went in to talk thinking that we most likely were not going to be able to afford assisted living. Susan was so sweet in answering questions and we were told that because dad was a veteran he should be eligible for benefits that would help pay for him to be able to live in assisted living. We filled out paperwork and found out that he was indeed eligible for additional benefits. Dad was a little nervous at first, but was excited to learn that he could have his own bedroom suit (which we didn't have room for at my house) and his favorite recliner and his own TV. So he felt like he was gaining some freedoms too! He made many friends while at Columbia Cottage and even conducted some Bible studies with some of the residents. Since he was a retired minister, this delighted him as he missed working with people. He even led daily prayer for meals at his table and for the whole group on holiday meals. As dad's health declined, we felt that he was receiving the best of care and Hospice was even able to come in and take over his care when it became necessary. I often felt guilty that i was not able to keep dad in my home, but looking back now that he is gone, i can say that Columbia Cottage was the best solution for both my dad and My husband and I.

I moved my Mother to Columbia Cottage on March 3, 2015. The staff was friendly, professional and did everything to help us with the transition of moving her. Mother loves her new home, especially the food and is already looking forward to the Wi bowling. Thank you Susan and staff for making this an enjoyable experience.
