I had to put my mom in a memory care unit. Of course, mom did not want to give up her independence. She agreed to give it a try, and moved in three months ago. We both have been very happy with the facility, staff, food, and administration. Today, mom told me she was very content at the facility, and it was time to sell her house. No higher praise. Thank you Silver Lakes!

I felt such such peace the moment I walked in the door. The staff were just so kind. This would be such a great fit for my sister and I am hoping she will be a candidate to live out her last days in peace. Wendy was absolutely the best and the owners are very blessed to have her as a director.

I have seen every single area, from administration, top-down, and I have to say, I've never seen such a truly honest, dedicated, and loving staff. They truly love the residents and treat them like they are family. They have so many fun activities that no one has time to get bored. The activities are resident-centered and designed to bring each resident much joy, laughter, and strongly encouraged participation. I highly recommend Silver Lakes over any other institution and hope that when I come of age, I'll have the honor to reside there.

We recently moved my Dad here and we love Silver Lakes! From the moment I first visited, I could feel how at home everyone felt, definitely like a family community! It sits among the beautiful North Alabama mountains and even has a Senior Community Center around the corner. We highly recommend Silver Lakes Senior Living to anyone looking for an assisted living home for their loved one.

Place is clean and staff is friendly. Although I have not eaten here, meals look and smell really good. My only complaint is residents are allowed to smoke literally at the back door. Anyone(including non smoking residents) who do not smoke have no choice but to walk thru the smoke and breathe it just to get in. It would seem management would provide a place away from door so that the smoke cannot enter the back hall, which it does. Everything else seems to be great. Edit: October 1.2023. Smoking has been moved from the back door to a separate area created just for those who wish to smoke. It was a nice thing to do for the residents who do not smoke and those of us who visit them. I would like to change my review to a five star rating. Everything else about this place is simply great.

Staff is friendly and helpful. Facility is spotless, clean and very organized. My mom loves the food and I haven't had a chance to eat there yet but the food does look very good, especially the desserts. I would highly recommend this place for a loved one. Beautiful views and the grounds are very well maintained.
