Oh my Goodness This Facility was so good to us while my Uncle Jimmy was Passing .. He passed away today Sept 2nd at 4pm. They had a rolling cart full of sandwiches tea coffee oatmeal pies That was so nice of them to do for us. Plus they put 3 chairs in his room plus a recliner so my sister could Stay te night last night!! We loved the care and attention they gave our Sweet Uncle Jimmy! Thank You ALL for doing what you ALL did! Thank You, Family of James Gamach

I would definitely recommend this facility to care for your loved one. They have went above and beyond to care for our loved one & would also check on the well being of my mom when she was there visiting my dad. They cared for my dad like he was their own & we are forever grateful to all out there. They have become our 2nd family & we Love and Appreciate each one there. THANK YOU to each of yall for all you did & we will definitely be coming to visit yall & the residents we became close to Love you all & Thank you again

There's not enough employees to take care of the amount of patients. Also I'm concerned about the food served. The portions are very small maybe half a cup. Ice is only brought to patients room early in the day one larger styrofoam cup. No lid. None is served with lunch or dinner. The nutritional value is not present in the food provided. I read on Facebook that a chef walked out. There is an opening posted for a chef for the Florence AL location. Please help them

So much have changed since I've started in 2016 and left but I'm back now and it's under new management and a different vibe the New DON is all about her. Residents and Team she treat us with the up most respect and so does our administrator. Who even comes on the floor and help pass trays and fix problems that most won't even care to. Glenwood is a amazing place full of amazing people who have stories to tell of how they lived amazing lives and THRIVE everyday knowing we care““

I want to review the staff. My Mother has been here around 11 weeks on rehab side. They have took excellent care of her. She has made friends with all. I wouldn't want to leave anyone out because all have been very good. However I feel I must thank Susan, Sandra and Thomas for going beyond for her. Mother is still pretty sharp for almost 98 years old she says they take care of me. They took her in and treated her like she was theirs. Thank you.

I usually don't write reviews but I had to do this. It's amazing what a good leader can do to inspire others. The management changes have made such a difference in the entire environment at Glenwood. I would strongly recommend this facility to anyone that has a loved one in need of care.

The new management is really getting things in order. They have a great wound nurse who knows what she is doing. The therapy department is fantastic and does a great job. The nursing staff and CNA's are on top of things and very knowledgeable. Glenwood is really getting in to shape.

My wifes Grandmother spent several months in Glenwood. They took very good care of her while she there for rehab. My wife is the Dietary Account Manager at Glenwood so I have been to the building on several occasions for different events the Staff have held for the residents and families. The last month there has been some great improvements from the last time I was there. The atmosphere has changed. When you walk in you feel welcomed because you are greeted with a smile.

My maternal grandparents were in nursing homes as was my mom and my experience with nursing homes, well, I'll be honest, hasn't been the best, but Glenwood?? Amazing place. Can I reserve a room for myself? If I had to pick a nursing home for myself - Glenwood! Kudos to the staff and management! THIS is how a nursing home should be!

My aunt spent some time at Glenwood receiving therapy. I was very impressed by the staff. They were very friendly and professional, which hasn't always been my experience when visiting family in some other facilities. I would highly recommend them for therapy or the nursing home part! My experience with Glenwood is limited, but I have worked with Janet Ledlow, Administrator; as her DON at two (2) other facilities and I would trust her facility with any of my family members. Over the past few years I've had several family members and friends stay at Glenwood. It's always seemed like a good place but I've noticed a lot of improvement in the past month or so. The whole place seems brighter somehow. The staff is friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Glenwood.

For many years, Glenwood has been a very well known building. Regardless if you decide to work here, or if you or a loved one stay here, you will not be disappointed. Amazing staff that go the extra six miles just to make sure you feel comfortable and are taken care of. The dietary department works hard to ensure that the food not only looks good, but tastes great as well! Strolling around the building you will see and smell the cleanliness the housekeeping department works so hard at maintaining. Success stories from the awesome therapy department with excited faces when a big goal is achieved. Activities department steps outside of the box and invites everyone to participate in so many exciting adventures, like a fashion show, talent show, fall festivals, and so much more! Let's not forget the nursing department, each nurse and nursing aide will ensure you are well taken care of. The best feeling when you are away from home is being welcomed with open arms by smiling faces and sweet souls. At Glenwood Center, you are sure to have the best stay.

If my grandmother was writing this review, she would give it 1 star. I'm giving two because I know the lower level staff are doing the best that they can. However, it is my understanding that the management of this place has changed since her last visit, and the quality of care has gone down. She feels sorry for the people there who have nowhere else to go and are, in her words, "suffering," She had to eat crackers and milk because she couldn't eat the food. Compared to a rehab center in Virginia, this place is torture.

I had a mother in law in this facility, and worked here in the past, both as a CNA and Recreational Director at the Hilltop ALF facility as well. Over the years, there have been many changes, but I've always found a caring spirit at Glenwood. To the staff, I say, Great job at doing what your hearts have lead you to do, in providing wonderful quality of care. I see even more positive changes being added to the great care already given at this facility. Yes, there are changes being made due to negative reviews, and/or experiences from customers. With a new leader, building an even greater team, the residents, staff, family members, and guests will be rewarded with the best Quality of Care here in the Shoals.
