As the Activities Director, on a day to day basis I serve to build and maintain all activities calendar events, and recreational leadership. Each day at work is more entertaining than the last, with a normal day consisting of bible studies, bingo games, playing music (whether on the guitar or the piano), regular exercise, aerobic routines, and countless games, both indoors and out. Ive learned that it can be difficult to welcome these wonderful people into my heart, especially when we have a turnover of residents. It is always sad to see them go, but we always love the new faces and personalities that are able to join us in the process. The management is undoubtedly the best Ive ever experienced. Heather Bradley, the Administrator for the Gardens of Eufaula, goes above and beyond the typical professional role of any management team. She not only brightens any room she enters, but shows genuine concern and adoration for all employees and residents, and has proven several times that she is willing to do whatever it takes to keep our working environment and culture safe, fun, and up to protocol standards while spreading more love than I ever thought was capable by any one person. Even though I get to do most of the REALLY fun stuff at work (as the Activities Director), I also assist with medical administration, travel, and overall care for the facility in my downtime. Each day presents itself with a new challenge, but I always leave for the night feeling a sense of reward and accomplishment.

The best of the best. I was blessed to have worked in this facility for three years, and I can truly say that everyone at the Gardens of Eufaula is like family. There is no where I would rather send a loved one and no other people I would rather entrust someone I care to than the wonderful staff at the GOE. The best residents and best staff in the state... hands down!
