My family had an excellent experience with The Neighborhood at Grove Park. My father originally planned to move to an independent living cottage; however, due to rapid decline in his health, needed to move to assisted living instead. Vicky, one of the administrators, was so helpful in getting him moved over to an assisted living apartment. Once he moved in, he received EXCELLENT care from the nurses and care assistants. Unfortunately, Dad's health was declining more quickly than anyone realized and he only lived 2 weeks after moving in. This had NOTHING to do with the care he received! As a matter of fact, it was because of the attentiveness of the nurses that Dad was sent to the ER, giving me time to get there and spend time with him before he passed. Throughout our time with Grove Park, every one of the staff was so helpful to me, helping me through every step of a very difficult process. Emily Mitchell, Director of Wellness, and I spoke almost daily and she was always so kind, helpful, and available. I felt so comfortable leaving my dad there because the excellent staff put me at ease. I HIGHLY recommend the Neighborhood at Grove Park for your loved ones.

Grove Park is a true "home away from home". The employess are all so kind and work to make Grove Park comfortable for residents and also family members. It has opened a whole new world for our father and we are so grateful he is enjoying life!

We’ve looked at many facilities in the Southeast that offered independent living, assisted living, and memory care. Our independence to come and go as we pleased was important. The Neighborhood at Grove Park has a nice country appeal that is quiet while also being close to hospitals, shopping, and dining. The grounds are beautiful. Maintenance keeps all the wheels turning with precision, and Housekeeping makes it clean and pretty. Most importantly we feel safe and secure. Miss Vicky in Sales is the first smiling face we met and she answered every question we had. But there are so many more vitally important players. Miss Tiffany in Finance and Human Relations always has an answer we need or can get one PDQ. Mr. Jones is the Chef that offers us newness and variety that pleases our palates. Miss Jeanell is so kind and in charge of it all. She runs a tight ship and it shows. Every staff member makes us feel...at home.

Just moved my 91 yr. old father into asst. living here. We have both been very impressed with everything so far. All of the staff is excellent, friendly and helpful, and the kitchen and dining room staff are truly wonderful. The meals are varied and very delicious. He loves taking walks on the sidewalk in the shaded park-like setting around the building, and there are lots of activities going on during the day, like Bible study and Bingo, morning exercise programs and coffee/hot chocolate at 10 every morning. My dad lived alone for 10 yrs until a fall, and was not totally on board with the move, but he's enjoying the new routine and has already made friends with two other men on his hall. I feel confident that he's safe and in good hands at The Terrace at Grove Park. Highly recommend!

I have lived in the cottages at the Terrace at Grove Park about 4 1/2 years and will be moving to be closer to family. Sheila, Vicky and the entire staff are attentive and provide excellent service! Living here has removed lots of stress from owning a home. It is a great place to live.

Desiring exceptional care for her parents during a challenge season in their life, my wife researched facilities in the Dothan area and they selected a Cottage at The Terrace at Grove Park. Their decision was made easier because of the reputation of The Terrace and the fact they've had friends live there in the past, with great satisfaction of the love and care they've received. My wife's contact was Vicky, who was fantastic in every way. She explained all the living options, provided tours, and patiently navigated my wife thorough application process. In addition to Vicky, everyone on staff has been courteous and quick to help when called upon. Only a week into the home away from home stay, it is reassuring to know our parent's decision to Iive at the Terrace at Grove Park has been a great one!

My parents recently moved into a cottage here. Vicky Turner was wonderful to work with and really helped us in every step of the move in process. The caretakers at The Terrace are so much more than that. They are like family members to their clients. They have always gone above and beyond to make sure our loved one is happy, healthy and comfortable. We are so very pleased with every aspect of this facility. We are ever indebted to them, especially through these last couple of trying years with Covid. We refer to them as our angels and are so very grateful for all of them.

I moved my mother in the Terrace just over a year ago. She is very happy in the Independent Living Apartments, she loves the location. I can't say enough good things about the staff, Vicki, Brandon, also the ladies that deliver her lunch and dinner, cleaning crew, they always are so helpful if she needs anything.

Fantastic!! Our family is so thrilled with the Terrace at Grove Park! We visited other area assisted living communities. No one was as friendly, from the first greeter to the receptionist, to Miss Vicki, to the nurses, the janitors, kitchen staff, all of the residents we visited with said how much they loved it, no complaints!! Everyone was happy and loving and fun. Miss Vicki was amazing, she helped us through every step, never made us feel like a bother. She and everyone there made us all feel like family right away. We felt so welcome I can’t express this enough. Miss Vicki did everything she could to put our hearts and minds at ease with the overwhelming decision to move my grandmother here. Miss Vicki went above and beyond as did everyone.. Miss Gerri, the nurse was attentive and helpful. Brandon and Tommy the young men that help with so much from assisting my grandmother with our vehicle to hanging curtains were both great. Lakeria, not sure her title but she’s so sweet amd friendly... let me just tell y’all, we have had a bad experience in another state and paid more money. Everything about the people here will help your heart feel at ease with this transition. This was one of the most difficult decisions for us to make. If you are struggling with care for your loved ones and want them to feel at home , safe happy and thriving ,this is the place to be! Oh! And another thing you may not consider when you are shopping is the food.. this is good southern cooking! You’ll wish you could eat every meal with your loved ones just for the home cooking, not to mention the company. The grounds are beautiful with trees and a peaceful setting. They have fun activities and a beautiful front porch for afternoon sittin! If you want the next best thing to home, this is it! Thank you all!

The Terrace has been such a blessing to my uncle and all of our family as we were searching for a place for him that would feel like home. The Terrace could not have done more for our family. My parents were displaced after Hurricane Michael. They were willing to set them up immediately with a furnished cottage. They were always so attentive to any need that arose, from maintenance to delivering packages. It is also a very clean facility. The food was also very, very good. Like a 5-star restaurant would be. And the grounds were kept so beautiful. The common area in the middle of the cottages is a great meeting place for friends and to be able to walk around it on safe sidewalks. I would love to be placed in a facility like the Terrace when I age. If you are searching for a home or room in assisted living, quit looking and get over there!

We moved my parents into the cottages about 1 year ago. The staff at The Terrace were great helping us to get credentialed and moved in within a short timeframe. Vickie and Sheila both spent time talking to us and hearing our needs and concerns. Even though this time in my parents lives can be emotional and challenging, the staff made the transition into the community very easy and acceptable. Everyone you come in contact with is helpful and friendly; from the waite staff, the maintenance man, the person answering the phones, and administrative people. I highly recommend The Terrace.

My Mother-in-law just loved living at The Terrace! (she had to move from her home in north Alabama) It was not like a nursing care facility. It was a wonderful community of seniors. She was allowed her independence and that was something that she would not have had if she had stayed in her own home. The dining room (tablecloths on table) and food was great as was chef and staff. My husband and I were welcome to eat with them ANY time. The administrative staff (Sheila and Vicki) so sincerely wanted her stay there to be good. Jerri and Lynn (nurses) were so wonderful in helping us as she declined. They were willing to take her back to the Terrace with Hospice if that was what we wanted. Not many places do that! Her little helpers(bath, cleaning, laundry) were also SO sweet always! Thank you Grove Park Terrace for the care you gave to Ann. We love you all. I certainly cannot forget Keeri (as Ann pronounced it) who greeted you with a wonderful smile every time you came in the door!

My mom was admiited just 2 weeks ago to the assisted living section. She has acclimated very well and is very happy with The Terrace. She can no longer drive and thus her social interactions at home were curtailed. The Terrace at Grovepark has been a godsend. She has developed a new circle of friends and is very busy during the day with the many activities offered at The Terrace. We are so fortunate to have this facility.

We have recently moved my mom into one of the cottages in the Terrace at Grove Park. Her unit is very well laid out, very spacious, and comfortable. The staff has been friendly, accommodating, and quick to respond to any of my mom’s needs. The food is tasty and the dining staff have been just wonderful. My favorite included perk so far has been the emptying of her garage garbage can twice a week. They think of everything!

My mother is a dementia patient who has lived at The Terrace for nearly three years. During this time, I see my mother's condition slowly declining, but the level of care has never wavered ! The administration, nurses, and staff members are first rate in their attention to my mother's needs. The facility is beautiful,! There are fun activities planned each day that stimulate her cognitive, physical, and social needs. My mother is very happy at The Terrace and I highly recommend it!
