Visited my great aunt today. She's very happy. She stays busy. They make sure she's up and dressed. It was very clean and bright. And yes the staff that I encountered were helpful and friendly

My mom suffered from dementia and short term memory loss and I tried having her live with me. It was clear I could not provide her the care she needed. The staff at The Blake - Malbis (memory care) loved and cared for my mother like I never expected. Mom went on outings, participated in activities. I visited her all times of the day throughout the week and found her well cared for and engaged in activities. Turning over your parent to others for care is a very difficult decision but at The Blake - Malbis she was under the best care you could ask for. The staff made a very difficult situation much easier for me and my brother. Mom was better looked after than I was capable of doing. Thank you everybody, especially John, Petra, and Rachel.

My Mom was a resident of memory care at The Blake for several years before her passing in July 2020. Though initially it was tough transitioning her from her home to a care facility (she was a strong-willed even WITH dementia!), she adjusted thanks to the love and care she received. I never regretted my decision. Kudos the Director John Michael, the management team and the entire group of caregivers. I never worried about Moms safety or well-being while she lived at The Blake. Thank you for making her part of the family and for my peace-of-mind!

Our mom arrived at the Blake at Malbis pretty much kicking and screaming. Much different story now, she is happy, calm, and grateful that she doesnt have to worry about her house upkeep anymore. Her major adjustment took about 3 to 4 weeks. John Micheal, the executive director is almost always able to talk when I have a question, so is the rest of the staff, they have all been so helpful and kind. Bonnie and the other ladies who answer the phone are knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. The nursing staff are the best by far, I consider them like friends and so does my wonderful mom. Mom loves the food and keeps saying her pants are to tight now! The activities director, Petra, always has something going on, right now she is putting together a grandparents day treat for the residents. John Michael has kept the family current with all updates about the COVID-19. The Blake is very cautious about opening up to soon, for this Im extremely grateful. Its a horrible way for any loved one to pass. They have in my opinion gone out of there way to try ways for us to see our mom. I chose The Blake for our mom 1 year ago because it felt like a home when I went on my first tour. My opinion has not changed. We dreaded putting mom in a home, but we have been so happy, and so has she, because she is in a place that is like a home.

Our only problem with The Blake, is information, few of the staff will give out info. In particular our Dad,(93 yrs.) was admitted during covid 19 and quarantined until negative test result, we were told 2 days to get result, after 5 days we questioned why no result, after a full fay and multiple calls we were then told 3 days in quarantine before test is even performed. Not veryhvery

I absolutely LOVE The Blake At Malbis!! My mom loves it too!! All the staff are professional, friendly, and we couldnt ask for a better place for my mom to be. AND, the food is awesome too!

I have a friend here that loves the place. Her only complaint has been the new activities director doesn't interact as much as the last one (God Bless her family), other than that she really loves it there. This location also hosts several events throughout the year making it friendly for the residents of Daphne.

Prior to working at The Blake, I worked WITH The Blake. They truly care about the residents and their families. It is a beautiful community, the food is great, and it is a fun place to be. I would most definitely place my family here when the time comes.
