My father was a resident at this facility for over 3 years. We all loved it. They took such tender care of him. Rachelle was always ready to help in whatever was needed. She always returned calls or texts if she could not answer immediately. She also was a great help when we needed to find a facility with a higher level of care for Dad. We will miss them so much!

After a very unsatisfactory experience for my husband at a large memory care facility in our area, I became aware of Regency through private care coordination services. From the moment I entered Regency Retirement Village Memory Care, it looked and felt like home. The administrative and clinical leaders and staff were welcoming and helpful. We moved into his room, but unfortunately my husband deteriorated quickly and no longer met criteria for Memory Care. When we had to vacate his room, we felt the same warmth and compassion. I can't say enough positive things about the facility and the entire staff. I hope more families and individuals will become aware of this gem in our community. The small size and private ownership are positive factors and make a big difference!!!

We learned that retirement communities have different personalities “ just like people. Not everyone fits into a large, sprawling, more formal setting. We found Regency to be a place of community, intimacy, camaraderie, and a place where everyone knows your name “ from the Director on down, The Director’s availability and servant heart dictates the personality of the facility which we easily referred to as home. I placed my great Aunt at the Memory Care facility at Regency. She was there about 6 weeks before her passing. She was 93 and had vascular dementia. I can not say enough wonderful things about the staff and the facility!! She received the best care during her time there. Everyone went above and beyond to ensure she was well cared for. I am so very pleased with Regency Retirement Villas and would highly recommend!!!!

Regency is amazing. Debbie was so helpful and knowledgeable. She helped us set up a respite stay for my grandmother. My grandmother had a wonderful stay. They kept a close eye on her, as she requires lots of supervision for safety. She stayed busy with all the daily activities and she was able to have visitors every day. The facility is clean and the staff is professional and friendly. They were thorough with their communication throughout the process and during her stay. I would highly recommend Regency for individuals with dementia or other cognitive impairments.

My mother lived in the independent living side and later in memory care until her passing. Rachelle and her staff are top notch and they truly care about the residents. They helped us through tough decisions and were a wonderful mixture of professional and compassionate and I can think of countless times where I am not sure what we would have done without them. I just wanted to say I'm very grateful for each of you for the role(s) you played in helping my dad feel, 'at home', during his stay from November through this past March! He could no longer stay at home, by himself! So, Regency and Ms Rachelle were referred to me! So, thankfully Ms Rachelle allowed him a place and space at Regency, while we were waiting for his DD214 papers to arrive! Thankfully, his papers came in late March and now dad is enjoying his new home at Floyd E Tut Fann State Veterans home in Huntsville, Al! Thank you Ms Rachelle and staff for your daily love, care and kindness for dad, Isaac W Daniels, for the short time he was there! God bless each of you and just know that you played a very important part in our journey! I pray that someone else will receive the love and kindness shown to my father, each and every day!

I wanted to write a review for the Regency Retirement Village and share our experience. We planned an out-of-state move with my mother-in-law of 90 years. This was a very tough move for us to make but we really wanted to have her close to us here in the Birmingham area. We had reviewed five other agencies in detail and on-site. The Regency stood out to us as one we should consider the most. After making the move now and being there six weeks, we are so glad we did. The staff was unbelievable and so supportive during this move and beyond. The administration is responsive and efficient. They were a great team and the help and support they provided for the transition was very professional. The layers of personnel providing professional care is exceptional and caring. In general, everything is great! Having been with other institutions previously, we are very impressed with the staffing, the cleanliness, and the day to day job that they do. But there is so much more. The food is the best we have ever seen in any kind of similar facility, it is just so good! The memory care section is colorful, happy, clean, and laid out perfectly for security, service, and most importantly, for social/stimulating activities. All in all, it was more than we had hoped for!

My 2 siblings and I had three years to observe the staff at Regency Retirement Village care for both of our parents, first in the assisted living facility and then longer in the Memory Care facility. The 3 siblings separately visited countless times and we always found the facility in good order and the caregivers providing an impressive level of comfort and care. All of our questions were answered promptly and to our satisfaction. Another sign of excellence in the caregivers was the way my mother always brightened and greeted staff with a big smile when they came in to check on her. My mother passed away in August, but we will always be grateful for the attentive care both parents received at Regency Retirement Village of Birmingham. Dementia and Alzheimer’s are difficult challenges for caregivers, but this group of Regency caregivers always met the challenges. We 3 siblings appreciate all those efforts over an extended period of time...
