A great place for active seniors who want the benefits of both privacy and community living. 14 independent fully equipped apartments open up on a core of common space featuring a craft room, dining room, community living room/lounge, and exercise room. Heated garages available. Meal plan optional. Wonderful community of lifelong learners and interesting, engaged people from a variety of faith backgrounds, and none at all.

The Thomas Center is beautifully designed as a welcoming space that allows people to "age in place" gracefully, in a supportive community rather than isolation in a private home. The center offers meal service (lunch and dinner, I believe) and housekeeping, and has an exercise room, craft room, common room, and attractive grounds that include a patio and garden protected by moose fencing and easy access to a local greenbelt trail. The building itself is thoughtfully and beautifully designed, with attractive views, extra storage areas for all residents, and community-minded touches such as kitchen windows that look into the hallway so that residents can open the shades to interact with their neighbors as they pass, or close them for privacy. It is on the St. Mary's church campus, an oasis of peace and greenery on the busiest intersection in town. I would enthusiastically recommend the center to anyone looking to move into community living.
