I really regret finding my father a place here. They do not know how to deal with early signs of dementia. They instead call the RCMP if they witness any signs of distress, resulting in hospital imprisonment and not allowing residents to return afterwards. I had to force a sale of my father's unit. The public senior housing system is much better, with staff who care rather than having ownership interested only in making a dollar. They will never kick out a resident, unlike Origin.

My name is Boon Loh, I have been teaching Tai chi there since 2016. They are very accommodative and generous for providing me the Swing into Motion room for me to teach Tai chi rent free to the community for many years. Later the tai chi class became popular with lots of people turn up I feel the need to pay back for using the room. Thanks to Rhea, the coordinator her at that time gave me a very special rate. The Origin at Spring Creek is exceptionally clean everyday and all the staffs are very friendly and courteous. I know of a few residents who told me they are indeed very happy, feel safe and relax living there and participate in the activities they have to offer daily. They have beautiful dinning room, sitting lounge and the garden is always well kept during the summer months. The foods are excellent a five stars cuisine. I love dinning in the Minrshaft Traven. I have organized dinner party there many times and the food is excellent and the price is very reasonable with their daily specials. The service is excellent and very polite. I strongly recommend this restaurant.

Just some details that are left out before checking in; in order to use the shuttle to and from, they require 24 hours notice. After my surgery, my husband parked out front (with his hazard lights on) walked with me to our room. Front desk knew I had surgery and did not offer a wheelchair or to help in anyway! While my husband told them he was just getting me to our room, he came back down to a $250 parking ticket. The nurses checked my vitals and had some concerns with how low my blood pressure was, only to be told to eat some snacks to bring it up! In all it was not the greatest experience, 1 night was covered through my surgeon, but I paid $500 for the previous night because of our 5 hour drive to get there.

This visit was made even more memorable thanks to our exceptional server, Tori, whose attentive and personable service had already impressed us earlier in the week. The Mineshaft Tavern offers a warm, inviting atmosphere that perfectly complements its diverse menu. Our culinary journey began with the stuffed mushrooms”so delectable that we couldn't resist ordering a second round. Each mushroom was generously filled and bursting with flavor, setting a high bar for the dishes to follow. The BBQ chicken pizza was a standout, featuring a harmonious blend of seasoned chicken, banana peppers, bacon, onion, and mozzarella atop a medium crust with a tangy BBQ sauce base. It was a delightful mix of smoky and spicy flavors that left us craving more. The bolognese offered a comforting taste of Italy, with spaghetti enveloped in a rich, house-made meat sauce, accompanied by perfectly toasted garlic bread. The fish and chips were equally impressive, boasting crispy beer-battered haddock served alongside coleslaw, tartar sauce, and golden fries. The chicken tacos were a flavor explosion, combining seasoned chicken with pineapple salsa, chipotle aioli, and mango chipotle sour cream. Each bite was a delightful balance of sweet, spicy, and savory notes. Throughout our meal, Tori's exceptional service elevated our dining experience. Her attentive nature, warm demeanor, and thorough knowledge of the menu made us feel truly valued and well-cared for. It's rare to encounter such consistent excellence in service, and Tori's dedication did not go unnoticed. Stayed here as a guest for using another service within Canmore. The staff were friendly and accommodating even though we are not part of the seniors living here. The food menu had tons to choose from and everything we ate was very good. I cannot speak too in depth for the residents, but I can say there was tons of posters for activities, and all of the people (staff and residents) I had the pleasure to meet were very nice. Thank you for being so hospitable.

Origin @ Spring Creek offers every convenience for which we could ask. The management and staff are exceptional and go out of their way to meet our every request. I would highly recommend moving into Origin if you have special needs or require additional help with day-to-day activities.

Really disappointed at Origin's treatment of some of its residents. I know of residents who have been essentially kicked out and living out of a hospital as a result of Origin being unable to care for them and not taking them back. Don't send your loved ones here. They will have much better treatment at a public facility, where they can better transfer residents to different levels of care without having to live out of a hospital for several months.

My father moved to Origin at Spring Creek 13 months ago from Ontario at the age of 95 after my mother passed away to be closer to myself, his daughter. We couldn’t have had a better experience....from a trial week before his move, to his arrival as a resident. The staff are outstanding in every way...from the chef to servers to activity and front desk. They have all got to know my dad as they do every resident. Their care and concern for their wellbeing is genuine. Dad loves the food...can't beat the served breakfasts! There are many activities to choose from. Because Origin is located near downtown it is easy to walk to Main Street if the residents are able. This is an outstanding place...I am very grateful it is here in Canmore.

Knowing that my dad is surrounded by a truly compassionate staff gives my family daily peace of mind. After the passing of my mom, he moved across the country to be closer to us. This major life transition was made so much easier thanks to Origins and all that they offer.
