Needs another elevator. The staff are kind and friendly. They try to be as helpful as it can Marta was a very strict in her new position as manager. Moving into Atria Arbour Lake was the best decision I'd make at this stage of my life. After twelve months, Atria Arbour Lake has become a happy place I am proud to call my home. Staff members are the epitome of professionalism, friendliness, and helpfulness. Their personal attention to my needs has endeared themselves to my life, and our relationship has evolved into one that a close family enjoys.

Spring came in full splendor to Atria. Its hanging baskets are the most amazing addition to this wonderful Retirement Residence. Bill and myself spent there thee months from December to March. We have been received with open arms while awaiting an opening in a facility closer to our family. The ambiance, cleanest and activities deserve a high esteem. The General Manager, Mrs. Marta Szczesna organize her coworkers by daily meeting as they proceed to their task. Her presence is welcoming, kind and attentive to residents. Gana Batmunkh, Jasdeep Kaur and Deidre Johnson follow in her steps. Nancy Stewart offers most entertaining daily activities. We enjoyed the food as the dishes where tasty, looked appetizing and were served by a friendly and skilled employees. My husband and myself felt safe, taken care and accepted by staff and friendly residents. We visit them occasionally and feel at home there. Thank you Atria!!! My mother and I had a lovely tour and lunch yesterday. Marta, along with the staff and residents we met, made a lovely impression of a warm and welcoming community. There are many opportunities for residents to be busy and active with a full calendar of events, as well as large spaces around the facility to socialize with other community members, and visit with friends and family. If I had to choose one word to describe the atmosphere of our experience (partly because of the sunny yellow walls): cheerful!

I just moved in and the staff have been amazing. Food is really good. I am beginning to feel at home I have been here for 5 months now and still feel at home. My experience at Atria Arbour Lake has been positive. The staff are very friendly and obliging. The meals are nicely prepared and presented. You can be as busy as you wish.There are many activities available for residents: exercise classes, crafts, games I.e. bridge, cribbage, bingo, horse races. Also musical presentations provided by visiting artists. It does take adjustments to move from a single family home to community living. Overall, it has been a positive experience.

Atria of Arbour Lake is a very happy, accomodating friendly place to live. I have enjoyed my time here but unfortunately I have to move closer to the things I need in my latter years. I have found the staff to be helpful and kind beyond their daily duties. I have especially loved working with Kate, the house keeper for my suite, who has gone out of her way to assist with my every need. I will greatly miss you Kate - along with all the special people Atria has on their payroll. Thank you for having me over these past couple of years.

I was recently invited for lunch at the Residence...... Have to be honest, I found the lunch meal very unappetizing, pale, non browned meatballs.... chewy green beans, [frozen]? ..... disappointing, compared to some other Residences here in the N.W....... I found the staff helpful, but lacking in meal presentation.......

My father-in-law lived at Arbour Lake atria for three years. He said those were the best three years of his life. He made friends and had a sense of belonging. The HRA has lots of entertainment and activities. It has festive decorations throughout the year. It has attentive and caring staff. The staff are quick to contact family at 911 in case of emergency.

My husband & I moved in to Arbour Lake Retirement Residence a few months ago. It has been a learning experience to be sure. Overall, the experience has been positive. We live in a spacious two bedroom two bathroom suite which as very clean & brightWe have both found the food quality & quantity to be good. My husband has medical issues & is grateful for the doctor who visits in the suite every other week. My husband’s health has improved since moving here. I participate in some of the activities & give great credit to the Activities Director, Nancy for the energy & enthusiasm she puts into her job. She tries hard to keep us occupied. I am also very happy to not have to prepare meals three times a day everyday. And I have to credit the servers who are always cheerful & smiling. Community Living requires adjustment. It is very different in many aspects. But we are happy we came.

My Mom moved in 4 years ago and it has been a fabulous experience. The Director and Recreation Manager are totally dialled into their roles, as are all the dedicated staff. My Mom has had several fun volunteer roles that keep her engaged and meeting new people. She toured 12 other locations before choosing Atria - the vibe was happy and uplifting. Things happen - but the team figure it out.
