Gold country has it all. The renovations are wonderful, the staff is friendly and caring and the food is healthy, wholesome and culinary. It’s a great place to live as a senior, have everything taken care of and enjoy the many activities available for residents to join in on if they choose. My daughters and I decided to look at places for me that were in and around Placerville. We had a few on our list and decided to look at Gold Country first. One of their staff took us and showed us all around the beautiful grounds and then the dinning area and lots of other areas, library, socializing rooms and then the apartments. They emphasize independent adult living, and they want you to feel like your apartment is your home. There was in no pressure. I had a lot of questions that were answered by telephone. We never made to the rest on our list as we decided this was perfect for me. Moving in, when I was ready, was as easy a signing a few papers and paying my deposit. I was handed the key so I could move in right away.

I stepped back in time. My Mother lived there in the 80's and loved Gold Country so much. I am looking for a home and went to GC and still amazing.... everything has changed to a beautiful update and staff is still amazing. If you are looking for an adult community where everyone goes above and beyond, then you will love Gould Country. Thank you Flora for the wonderful tour.

My mother is new to the area and was very skeptical about living in a Senior Community. It’s been a couple of months now and she’s very happy! Her favorite thing so far has been the excellent food! She can eat in the dining room but prefers to have her meals delivered. Everyone is SO friendly both the staff and the resident's! We highly recommend Gold Country Senior Living.

This is a very friendly and welcoming community. My apartment is comfortable and already feels like home. I enjoy having three meals a day that I don't have to prepare and I'm looking forward to participating in the social activities. I'm very happy that I moved here.

When it came time to helping my mother make the tuff decision to leave her house, we shopped a number of facilities in the area. We found Jill and Gold Country to be not only the best fit for her, but patient, kind and not pushy. The facilities are clean, friendly and accomodating. My mother couldn't be happier.

Gold Country senior living has been amazing for my mom and I it puts my mind at ease knowing that she is safe and has access to all the ammenities she needs. Since day one, Jill McDonald went above and beyond from providing an in depth tour to answering all of our questions and concerns. She also assisted my mom in finding the perfect apartment. Although it took a minute for my mom to adjust to her new surroundings. She now thanks me everyday for getting her to Gold Country. Her fellow residents, the helpful and compassionate staff and her safe and comfortable surroundings make me thankful for Gold Country everyday.

From an outsider’s first look around, I’m quite certain that if I make another 10-+ years, this is where I will come to move away from the huge job of taking care of a home and yard! For now, it’s looking good to move my uncle in soon 🙂

Today my daughter , son in law and myself toured Gold Country Living. I was blown away at the cleanliness, beauty and quality of the facility. We viewed all of the available apartment options and I am going to select the 2bdm 1 bath in building 3. The residents I spoke to were friendly and every single one of them had nothing but positive comments and experiences living there. The setting is beautiful and I will have a lovely view. Now the hard part, closing out and selling my current residence. I have every confidence everything will fall neatly into place. I am floored to be able to say happily I am looking forward to the move. On with the adventure!!!

My sister and I toured the facility and were both impressed with the friendly staff, clean facility and overall good vibe. My Mom is not quite ready but it is comforting to know Gold Country is our top choice when the time comes. Thank you Jill, great tour and first impression!

Placerville is beautiful especially downtown. The facility is okay. I was there for eight months. The staff go out of their way to help and contribute to your experience. There was a change in operations management. They hiked the prices TWICE while I was there. Additionally, my stove never worked nor stove top never worked. Setting up internet was and continued to be an un-functional nightmare. In my time there, it was never continuously working. Again the Staff and the cooks are AMAZING. MANAGEMENT is suspect at best. The Sales department- if it’s Jill, run away

I visited Gold County Senior Living because I was looking for a place for my mom. First, the people who work there were all very friendly and open. The people who live there were also kind and welcoming too. Repeatedly, residents would stop and tell me how happy they are to live there. After my mom moved in, I had dinner in the dining room with my mom. Not only was the food tasty, people came by our table and welcomed my mom and encouraged her as she adjusts to her new living arrangements. Jill and the other staff are awesome. I’m really glad we chose Gold Country. It’s working out really well!
