Comfort Keepers took care of my late wife in 2019. They did an excellent job. The caregivers were very well trained, supervised, and personable. They all they could to keep up her spirits--and mine--24/7.

We used comfort keepers to assist us in the general care of my mom during an "in home" hospice. Hospice care was supplied by a separate company. The person that came to our home was excellent. She was very professional and knowledgeable and very pleasant to work with. The support provided was well worth the price.

I really do not have much to say for a review. The Comfort Keepers came and interviewed me and my mother when she needed some help; they asked all the right questions and I thought it would be a good fit. The day the first person who worked for them started with her, she had a UTI and ended up in the hospital for 5-6 days. She then transitioned to assisted living and no longer needed CC help. I would have called them in again if she needed then, but due to unforeseen timing, we only employed them for 1 short day.

I was employed with Comfort Keepers, Scarborough ,Me. for almost 7 years. At first it was difficult . They use to have 1,2,3,4 hour shifts. I had to work hard and sometimes difficult days and evenings to gain enough hours. As time went on the hours and clients were stable could work 40 plus hours. It eventually went 4 hours mandatory for clients. I had family pass away and I also had health issues and needed surgeries. The staff was great and had my health and care as a priority until I was to return. The company was sold to another Director of Operations and undoubtedly changed the dynamics and operation as a whole. I loved my clients , work and schedulers ( they work hard ). I decided to leave only because I did not want to keep putting mileage on my vehicle and I was only getting calls for fill in shifts. Also I was beginning to feel under valued and not paid enough. Only raise was when we had to do our yearly education work . Since new ownership there were no more bonuses or incentive to feel appreciated and valued . I would recommend working them! I was looking for more stability due to loss of a client and losing hours then having to wait until a scheduler would find more hours .

22 beautiful care givers, 4,500 hours, over 3 1/2 years. We will forever be grateful for the care, comfort, friendship, and love that ALL of you gave our mom in the last years of her life. I am very pleased with the opportunity to work in the Southern Maine area with Comfort Keepers. I appreciate the opportunity to work part time and to have support for the best fit for myself and the client. I also want to encourage anyone who is looking for a "good fit". As one of Comfort Keepers' caregivers for 8 years, I can say they are a great employer. Office staff are friendly, helpful and do not make you feel guilty if you have to arrange some time off or are not available for a fill-in shift. The Quality Assurance Coordinators provide thorough training, online and in-person (in-person at least before CoVid 19!)..this was especially important as I had not done this work previously. Trainings are ongoing and I have learned a lot from staff, other caregivers and clients themselves. Additionally the QACs are always there to support you should you need it and that is one of the reasons I like working for this agency. Wages are competitive and I feel appreciated, valued here.

We were so lucky to have Comfort Keepers when my aunt needed help. The kind, supportive services that the Comfort Keepers brought to my aunt not only allowed her to stay in her home until she passed but also provided hours of loving companionship when we couldn't be with her. No matter the task, the comfort keepers answered the call from the beginning to the end. We are very grateful and would confidently recommend their services to others.

We signed on with Comfort Keepers 6 years ago for my mom. Her caregiver, Joan Winslow, was a Godsend. She quickly became part of the family even attending her 90th birthday party. Don't know what we would have done without her--she will be missed. In addition everyone we came in contact with at Comfort Keepers was polite, knowledgeable and helpful. Recommended them highly. We are so grateful to have Comfort Keepers of Scarborough provide service in our home taking care of my dad. It was such an adjustment to discover the decline of my dad's dementia as well as his mobility. To have the staff of Comfort Keepers come into our home to help out has truly been a blessing to us. Mom had Comfort Keepers for over two years. I live out of town and appreciated the updates on how Mom was doing. We talked on the phone and I was able to meet them a few times when we were able to make the 9- hour trip. Mom felt like they were her family while my sister and I were so far away. And they did many of things you would expect family to do to help her as the dementia became a challenge. Her Comfort Keepers were so loving and thoughtful. Their concern for her well-being was always apparent. When I would ask them for ways that I could help, their suggestions were so valuable and realistic for our long-distance situation. I would recommend Comfort Keepers to anyone!
