I came here with a family member about 2 weeks ago through the ER. When she got settled into her room we encountered some questionable staff. Now most of our nurses were really sweet & helpful (i.e Morgan, Jesse, Alexis, Teagan, & Ulysses) & also a few CNAs (i.e Jasmine, B, Ashley, & Jacqueline). However, some CNAs on the 5th floor, during their shifts, seemed bothered or almost annoyed that they had to actually do their jobs. I understand everyone has their good & bad days, but the patient & their guests also are going through struggles. Flora (I believe was her name) seemed very unwelcoming or bothered at times when we did have her help. I wasn't able to remember the name of the other young lady who we encountered, but I can remember she was a fairer skinned girl with dark colored hair & she was a little on the short side. She responded to our emergency button, which we pressed because we needed help removing my family member from the toilet to their bed. She came in, looked into the room, and was about to help but then stopped & left back out to "check to see if the nurse was available". Knowing she was probably not going to come back I tried my best to help my family member to their bed. Safe to say no one ever returned to check on my family member until nearly an hour later. I beg for some, please just remember to check in on your patients or at least pretend to care. We're being vulnerable enough to trust everyone so it's only fair to at least show you care. For the sweet people I mentioned by names, thank you SO much for taking care of my family member & actually doing your job. Give them a raise, please!
