The property is beautifully maintained, the team is attentive and professional, and Tisha, the new property manager, goes above and beyond to make everyone feel at home. Harter House has completely changed!!! Something that you could drive by and not even notice it. But now, it stands out and looks superior! It looks welcoming. There’s not many senior living facilities in Madison County where I’d approve for any of my elderly relatives, besides Harter House. I love how interactive the facilities management is. If you haven’t yet, take a look at their Facebook page. It truly is wonderful to see how much they care about each and everyone of their residents. They’ve made such improvements just over the past few months. It’s completing opposite of what it has always been. I love how transparent the upper managers are. It truly is reassuring to know we have a living facility such as Harter House right here in our beautiful downtown Anderson. I suggest you take a tour for yourself. You won’t be disappointed. 2025-UPDATE: New property manager, Tisha, is both professional and compassionate. She takes the time to listen to residents' concerns--and then actually helps with our issues. Maintenance guy, Ian, is very helpful also. Recently they've hired Community Builders, John and Sadie to facilitate community activities. Harter House is THE BEST independent, senior living, apartment complex for community activities! I love this place, the management staff and my fellow residents here. It's home. 2024-REVIEW: Deck the halls--it's Christmas at the Harter House in Anderson, IN! Wow...residents, property manager (Robert), and maintenance man (Ian) have spiffed up our already beautiful apartment complex. We're still enjoying the thorough renovations from 2 years ago. Harter House has abundant community space--outdoor seating, indoor dining area, great room, fitness room, library, puzzle area, laundry room and a lovely chapel. That's what I love most about Harter House--there's always someone to chat with and community is built in to this building! December 1, 2024 will bring a new Activities Coordinator--bringing back BINGO, among other activities! Management is friendly and responsive to our needs. Highly recommend.

Living at Hater House has been such a great experience! The rent is very affordable, especially considering how nicely updated the apartments are”it really feels like home the moment you move in. The layout is modern, everything is well-kept, and I appreciate how comfortable and welcoming the space feels. One of the best parts is the community here. My neighbors are friendly and respectful, which makes it easy to feel safe and connected. We went and toured this facility a month ago! This is a beautiful facility. The manager in the front Mrs. Carter was amazing to deal with and very knowledgeable and very smooth and easy to deal with. Needless to say this is now our new home for now!

I can’t say enough good things about Harter House. From the moment we walked in, we felt a sense of warmth and genuine care. The staff treat residents like family, always patient, kind, and attentive. The community itself is bright, clean, and welcoming, with plenty of activities that bring joy and keep everyone engaged. The property manager Tisha is amazing and truly loves her residents you can tell by the way she interacts with them.

Harter House was on the list of places to check out for my dad. The building is beautiful, the grounds are well kept and they have all kinds of great events/activities for the tenants. To top it off, Tisha is absolutely amazing at her job. You can tell she has a heart of gold and she's in the right profession.

It's had it's ups and downs but overall very good amenities are fing bingo and other events to keep the seniors occupied the only complaint I had was we had poor management before the manager Robert had no compassion for residents and was very rude but he is gone now and Tish is a joy and she cares about her residents and makes staying here a joy

Recently divorced and on disability my friend found this place for me. Tisha is absolutely amazing! Show me around and it was a very nice place with everything remodeled. They have cameras in the back for parking and all utilities are included except for cable internet whatever. Once again Tisha was so accommodating and helping me because I was so confused on how to get an apartment with their level was living in a house so five stars 10 started whatever I can get this place that's what they deserve

I moved into Harter House the beginning of November. From my first contact with Robert, the manager, I was treated with respect and friendliness. He was very helpful with explanations and form work. He made my transition into Harter House pleasant and seamless. I will give them a five star rating.

I moved from Florida to this apartment, Roberto porras , Was so professional he make sure everything was done easy and perfect, when I moved in his maintenance team was very wonderful.and the environment is very clean.

I've been here a little over six years, seen some good people come and go, lots of changes, overall, I don't mind it here. Close to town. Right on the Bus route. Of course, there's always a little thing's that needs to be pointed out. But from every place I have lived or worked, pretty much similar situations. For the most part I like it. Currently, I've been here a few months and so far, the staff has been nothing but courteous, the maintenance man fixed the minor leaky faucet I had quickly ,and efficiently while I was at work, without disrupting my day, whatsoever. Robert, the apartment manager, has made sure I'm comfortable in my apartment, and the things are going well. I've had staff deliver mail packages directly to my door. The workout equipment in the lower level is ideal for me so I don't have to go all the way to the gym as is the washer and dryer so there's no need for trips to a laundry matt. The neighbors are all so friendly and most important, QUIET. I never hear a peep at night or early morning. This apartment seems to be fantastic so far.

I have lived a Harter House for 7 years. It isn't perfect. No place is perfect. There is always room for improvements. However, that being said, based on renta cost, vinyl floors, and all new kitchen appliances, there is no place here in town that I am aware of, that I would rather be living than here. Property Manager, Robert, is caring and wants to help residents, any way he can.

WOW, the transformation is incredible. I visited several months ago and now it's completely renovated and so beautiful! Kudos to the new owners for breathing new life into what was a tired space. My dad was super impressed.
