Do NOT send your loved one there unless they are able to advocate for themselves. Lynn, the manager, put my loved one in a wheelchair after falling and was no longer able to walk or stand. My loved one had a broken femur. This facility took three days to notify me and then had the nerve to ask me to transport the resident in my personal vehicle to the hospital! Unacceptable! I questioned the previous manager, Jennifer, multiple times on the nutrition of the meals. Three starches and a protein is NOT a balanced meal. Trying to get my loved ones room at an acceptable temperature for the resident was a nightmare. Many times I found my loved one in bed crying because she was cold and hungry. Unacceptable! They are very quick to say, "oh they didn't want to get up." If the room is cold they don't want to come out from under the covers! I've watched other residents ask for 2nds and they were told there isn't any more. But I walked past the kitchen and saw several plates of food on the counter. I was told that food was for the workers. Thus, they only care about themselves NOT the folks paying the bill... I found much better care in Pensacola for my loved one. Do your research!

Five stars +. The facility is 1st class. The director, Lynn, a former nurse, is knowledge, compassionate, and responsive to the patient's and family's needs at their most vulnerable and confusing times. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure each resident is cared for properly. We could not be happier for the choice we made for our Aunt Betty.

The staff at The Beehive are all so kind. As a volunteer I really appreciate the way the staff interacts with the residents. They always seem warm and friendly. Recently, I was able to go to the Navel Museum with the residents and it was wonderful. The residents told me how much fun they had. This facility is always clean and the executive director truly cares for the staff and the residents.

I have the unique opportunity of getting to work at the Beehive AGAIN. I have been a nurse for 39 years and have worked in all types of facilities - big and small. I enjoy the smallness of the Beehive. To me, that's what makes it stand out in the ALF world. It's a big 16-bedroom home (or 21-bedroom in BH2). I don't feel like I am working in an institution. I see the owners and their wives in and out visiting the home and talking with the residents and their families. The staff are able to really get to know the residents because of the higher staff to resident ratio. I also feel I have good perspective on comparing the Beehive to other facilities in the area because I have had family members in various ALFs in this area. I have also worked as a Home Health nurse and cared for residents in almost all of the ALFs in Northwest Florida. For these reasons, and more I am glad to be back at the Beehive.

I'm so blessed to have the opportunity to be apart of this amazing team! This is the absolute BEST Alf I have worked at! We have a great administrator who truly goes above & beyond always making sure residents needs come first! The buildings stay so nice & clean, staff really interacts with the residents, & make sure they are taken care of! We are a big family! If I had to place a family member somewhere, Beehive would definitely be it! It's really home!

I am a previous employee of Beehive Homes of Gulf Breeze. Where I learned a lot from the administration that was there while I was employed there. The small concept has always been a great selling point. Very veteran oriented even with military veteran owners. If I ever had to place my family members I would definitely place them at that facility. It looks like one of the gorgeous homes that belongs in Gulf Breeze

This is absolutely the best Assisted Living Facility that we have found in this region. The staff is tremendously compassionate and knowledgeable. Lynn bent over backwards to assist us in ensuring that my mother could be cared for properly at their facility during a respite stay involving hospice. She helped guide us through the process of getting the help we so desperately needed to care for my mother and my husband and I are eternally grateful for her help and the amazing staff at BeeHive Homes. Sadly, my mother has passed, but should we ever need an ALF in the future, BeeHive will be the only facility in this area we would consider. I am so grateful for the help we received from BeeHive and I can't recommend them highly enough.

Moved my mom after being there more than 3 years because it had gone downhill so much. They have recently gotten a previous good administrator back in, so I am hopeful that things will improve. Her room hardly ever got cleaned, and the food generally was lots of carbs and skimpy on protein and veggies. Requests for maintenance were ignored, and we had to provide our own light bulbs for the bathroom since they didn't have any (requested more than once). Many of the glowing reviews here are actually staff and owners/spouses of owners.

Being a new staff member there I can actually say that the Beehive is truly a gem. The residents are so sweet and I enjoy each and everyone of them. The staff is so welcoming and caring and the owners are very sweet and you can tell they care about the residents and the families along with staff they treat everyone so nice and I'm so very happy to be part of the beehive.

Wow, just like family in a great way. We had a very short notice need for temporary assisted living for my wife. One visit to the Beehive Homes in Gulf Breeze, Florida and we found the perfect place. The facility is immaculate and the people are top notch. Compationante, caring, eager to assist are just a few words that describe everyone that we had the pleasure to meet. When future needs of a home away from home come again--the Beehive Homes in Gulf Breeze, Florida will be the place. Thank you all for more than "taking care" of my wife; thank you for "caring" for my wife.
