My 95-year-old mother had an amazing experience at Stratford House. From the moment I walked in, I felt a warmth and welcoming atmosphere. Everything was so clean. I was impressed that the rooms were private and they were beautifully furnished. The staff were so kind, gentle, compassionate and had so much patience when helping with my mother’s needs. The owner, Marium, is such a loving sweetheart and really cares for each resident. My mother adjusted quickly to her new home away from home. She enjoyed the crafts, bingo, other activities, chatting with residents and staff. The homemade meals, snacks and desserts were amazing. I highly recommend this cozy assisted living home for your loved one.

I am a speech pathologist who has had the lucky fortune to do work with the very cherished residents that reside at this home. I can say that after being in this home and working with my clients here, that if I ever needed a place for my own self this is certainly a place I would consider to come and receive help. The staff here is Always very wonderful and you can tell that they genuinely care about the people that they take care of and that they care about the families that have entrusted them with their loved ones Care. The care staff takes interest in the interests of their residents. The residents are always very well groomed and are up and dressed and active in the house. And the house is always very clean. I’ve watched my patient swallowing while I’ve been there and I’ve seen that the food is very Appealing as well and the residence enjoy it. This is a place that makes the people that live here feel very comfortable

Our mom had an amazing experience at Stratford House. She spent the last 6 months of her life with Marium and her fantastic staff. She felt loved, listened to, cared for and a part of the family there. We thought that she would hate having to go into a 24 care facility. But everyone at Stratford House kept her active and laughing. They were busy with parties, spending time outdoors, family meals and just hanging out together. There is no way we could have asked for a better experience for our mom.

My dad was a resident at Stratford for a little over three years. His time spent there was nothing short of fantastic. The aides are all very friendly, caring, and attentive. The owner is an angel who worked with my family time and time again when things got tough for us. Everyone truly felt like family who deeply loved my dad. As Stratford consists of two small houses, the sense of community and closeness is unmatched in a care home. Not only was it super easy for my dad to socialize with other residents on the daily, Stratford regularly hosts parties which bring both houses and all their families together. My family was very fortunate to have my dad stay at Stratford for so long. We never had to worry about the level of care and attention he would get as I’ve had to with other nursing homes. His health and happiness and our peace of mind were priceless byproducts of his living there. If someone in your family needs extra care, Stratford is where they will get it.

We moved my mom into Stratford house because she was not receiving the care she needed at another facility. My mom has dementia. What a change in a short time. She looks great everyday. Always clean, hair done, dressed nice and happy. She is doing significantly better mentally. The owner (Marium) is great. The care givers have worked at Stratford a long time and the consistency of dealing with the same caregivers everyday makes a huge difference. They are very experienced, kind and caring. They quickly picked up on my mom’s habits and needs. I finally have peace of mind knowing my mom is getting excellent care. The only regret I have is that I did not get her there sooner.

Community living and being located in a residential neighborhood were important factors when we selected Stratford House. We Love Stratford House! Both my parents were there and made wonderful connections with the caregivers- and the residents. Marium has created a lovely community and I feel so blessed we found this place. My kids and I visited often and also felt at home- we created some sweet memories during my parent's time there. It is a difficult decision to move one's parents into a home and Marium and her staff really held my hand through the entire transition and made things so much easier for us- I highly recommend Stratford House.

I can't say enough about what Stratford house did for my mom. She had significant dementia and they treated her with such care. She could be sassy at times and they'd just redirect her and get her involved in other things. She was in Hospice about 10 months at the end, eventually becoming bedbound and right up until the end she had not one red spot on her skin. Her hair and nails were always done. In fact, as I post this, 10/5, it's her 5th anniversary. I will be forever grateful for their care. (Love you guys!)

Stratford House was truly a Home Away From Home for my mother, with Marium and her staff bringing the comfort of a loving family in their care of Mom. From healthy, homecooked meals to immaculate housekeeping and the latest in surroundings and technology, the Stratford environment cannot be equaled. Fun, often one-on-one activities engage residents meaningfully. Mom was so pleased when they fussed with her hair and the last manicure at Halloween was so enjoyable with its nail art and individualized attention given her. We shared a Thanksgiving feast as one huge family, a delicious prelude to what festivities Christmas was going to bring. Little did we know at the time, but it was to be Mom's last holiday season--yet we now have such wonderful memories of those times because of this staff's attention to detail. I cannot recommend Stratford House more heartily. Great job, everyone!

My mother has lived at Stratford for almost 9 months. Marium, the owner/administrator has developed a wonderful home environment. The house is clean and has great karma and lots of life when you walk in the door. A beautiful pergola in the backyard was added for outdoor activities in warmer months, such as birthday and holiday parties. Marium and her staff are always so positive, compassionate and hard-working!! This has enabled my mother and the other residents to have a home and life which features dignity, positive activity going on throughout the day, patience, companionship, cheer and appreciation for who each resident is-as a person-and whatever difficulties they are going through at this point in their lives. They are given much individual time and attention, which is also so important. Communication with Marium and her staff, including the home's Nurse Practitioner, (Tamber), is timely and respectful. Issues are addressed thoroughly with staff and family members working as a team. I cannot express how much we appreciate Marium and the wonderful employees who have obviously been very carefully chosen, and who seem happy with their work (also very important!). I believe this facility is most likely one of the very very best available. Thank you, to you all!

Marium, the owner of Stratford House, is an absolute angel!! The staff is phenomenal as well! My ex-husband had a few strokes and was no longer able to care for himself and ended up in a nursing home until medicaid said he had to go (because he was "too independent"). After staying with my daughter and me for six months, I began searching for a new place that he could call home. We found it at Stratford House! Everyone truly loves and cares about Chuck. We are kept up to date on his condition and they engage him with activities, conversation, and socializing with the other residents. The staff is extremely caring and honestly love caring for the residents there. We are so grateful to have found this wonderful house! You will NOT find a better place for your loved ones if you should ever find yourself searching for a safe haven for them. Look no further than Stratford House. I promise you'll be absolutely thrilled with it!! We sure are.

My father had a stroke the week before Covid closed down the state. He went to rehab where he recovered from his stroke but contracted Covid. He also recovered from Covid, but we were unable to physically see him for 2 months. It was a terrible time. Marium and her staff were recommended to me from a local nonprofit. From the moment my father was taken to Stratford House, he was treated wonderful. For 3 months all he wanted was a haircut and that is exactly what he got from one of those angels caring for him. Marium was in constant contact with me. I never had to wonder how my father was doing because I was always informed. My father received professional and loving care during his last days.

All the caregivers were very attentive and we felt relaxed knowing her medications were closely monitored. All her medical needs were taken care of right there. I have a very dear friend in an adult care home called Stratford House. They provide 24/7 care, meals, snacks, laundry, give medications, bathing and the best individual care I’ve seen! Also holiday and birthday celebrations and bbqs. Gary(my friend) likes gardening so they figured out something that would work for him as he is in a wheelchair. They also take him for walks on nice days, out to eat, to a friends funeral when I was out of town. Can you believe that? If you know of someone that is ready for this excellent care, schedule a visit.

My only complaint is that we didn't find this place sooner! We had some negative experiences with Danish Village (independent senior living) and Waltonwood (assisted living) in Rochester, MI. Thankfully we ran across the Stratford House online. The staff here is amazing. All of the caregivers are experienced and truly care about the residents. It is like a little family is the best way I can describe it. Carrie is the head caregiver and her sister works there as well. They took care of their mom when she was having health issues so they really empathize with the families. It is a house that has been converted to an assisted living. Needless to say it is a smaller assisted living which I was skeptical about at first, but now I know smaller is better! It is important to have a good patient to staff ratio and Stratford house always had more than one person on at a time for around 5 people. Also, the staff is amazing so one staff here is probably equal to 2 or more at the larger assisted living facilities. My mom needed a lot of assistance and I think this place is great for people like her. Much better than the larger facilities. They also offer hospice which my mom needed unfortunately, but I am so glad they offered it. I can't thank them enough for what they did for my mom and I hope to visit with them again some time. Thank you for caring about my mom! She deserved it.
