Brookside Healthcare Center is top notch! We just went to visit a friend who is in rehabilitation for an injury, and it was the first time we visited this facility. This place truly looks more like a Five Star resort hotel; it is perfectly immaculate and spotless in every way, everything from the scent of the place, to the ultra friendly, polite, and knowledgeable staff, to the latest state-of-the-art technology, I have never seen a long term skilled nursing facility of this caliber (and yes, I have seen some very good ones in the past). To sum it up, I am thoroughly impressed with Brookside Healthcare Center!

One of the CNA's Jane was great she help him and gave him attention and made sure he was independent, in using the restroom, bathing himself and feeding himself. My husband had a brain aneurysm, and rehab from Brookside did a great job for helping him to be himself. He has a long way to go but he has much improved.

However, I was pleasantly surprised it was beautiful , clean, smelled good and the staff was very friendly. It would be nice to use this facility as an example for all of those around the area.

This is by far the best place to recover from surgeries where you must do physical therapy to keep on living life. It's beautiful outside in the courtyard where families can visit or for patients that like to be outside and relax. Every staff member was very friendly and the atmosphere was like sunshine. My recent experience at Brookside Healthcare Center was outstanding. I was there for rehab after surgical repair of a broken femur. The staff members are well trained and kind, the facility is very clean, and the rehab therapy is truly amazing. My experience with specific caregivers was as follows: Debra, a night CNA who came at all hours to take care of my needs, no matter how difficult or unpleasant. Jane, the day CNA who also helped me through unpleasant tasks and also made sure my room was kept in good order. Both nurses were extremely kind and never complained, even when they were extremely busy. In the therapy room, I mostly worked with Ken for physical therapy. He worked with my physical limitations and always encouraged me to try harder, even when it was difficult to do the necessary exercises to stretch and strengthen my muscles. We worked on balance, standing, transferring to chairs, and walking safely with a walker. For occupational therapy, I worked mainly with Maryann and Erin. They taught me how to do daily tasks safely, such as working in the kitchen, approaching my closet to reach items, using various home aids to use the bathroom, and changing my clothes safely. They also worked with me on upper body strengthening. Julia is the director of rehab who oversees the details of running the department and she was very helpful with scheduling and planning my care. There are so many other staff members who made my stay pleasant and helped me reach the ultimate goal of returning home. All were kind, courteous, and pleasant. It was extraordinary. I highly recommend Brookside Healthcare Center for rehab care.

After a car accident and surgery at Loma Linda Univeristy Medical Center my mom was fortunate enough to spend several weeks at Brookside Healthcare Center - less than a mile from her home. I thank Brookside for having several super employees help me thru the challenges and changes after breaking my hip, that I will name. First it's "Yoshie" Brooksides admissions coordinator who's helped me defuse problems and issues that I'm having to deal with! Yoshie is smart as a whip and I feel Yoshie really cares about me! Then there's your CNAs some in training one is Justice Thach she's wonderful Then there's your wonderful receptionist "Grace"! Grace has put up with my tempertantrums and has made me feel safe and listened to. Grace really knows her stuff and gives me direction especially if I'm pointed the wrong way! These gals are just the help and trust and need while I'm stuck in a hospital bed and can't walk yet. Thanks girls and thanks Brookside. IMPORTANT I'M ADDING Jocelyn Kile she's the absolute BEST nurse in this hospital SHE LISTENS and isn't reluctant to call "higher ups" when "I" (PATIENT) had a issue Jocelyn came thru with flying colors. I'm soon glad Brookside has Jocelyn Kile as my nurse she has saved my day several times. I thank God then I thank Brookside for giving such a wonderful caring nurse. I want to also add my CNA Muliaty who's perfect!

There is no place like home. Brookside Healthcare Center staff are fair and provide the care and consideration a patient advocates and is pro-active for. Big ups to Janrus a.k.a "Jane" a CNA that does her best to provide care services to everyone she can. I found the majority of the staff friendly and careful. Thank you Brittany, Brittania, Ashley, Ashley, Kimberly, Saida, Christy, Alicia and the many CNAs' names I can't recall. The food is prepared well, most times, but the eggs at breakfast are frequent and frequently not prepared well. The kitchen can and will accommodate reasonable requests for alternative and or custom (pre-order) meals. House-keeping is regular and sanitary. Laundry is efficient. My clothing was always returned clean and quickly but I did hear of clothing that was not returned and or lost. However, they do encourage marking clothing w/permanent marker and will reimburse for lost or damaged clothing. I have to note that administrators were not always honest and I experienced and witnessed instances (somewhat trivial matters) where it sounded good but the claim was not the case. Thank you RNs Anton, Adrianna, Paige, Genesis, Angela, Joslyn and those names I can't recall. To the twins Grace and Hope. Physical therapists don't seem highly experienced nor enthusiastic about indepth, detailed, complicated rehabilitation, in my opinion but I am not a kinesiologist. Thank you all PT/OT for the encouragement and work I received and witnessed. Activity staff are friendly and enthusiastic about having simple 'break monotony' activities available. I am thankful for Brookside Healthcare Center services. I only recommend, you as a patient and or your family and friends, be aware and pro-active about the care program you want and need. I believe Brookside Healthcare Center staff and administrators are willing and capable to provide a high quality of services where you might find or believe they are lacking. Remember 'Team work makes the dream work.'

I'm a patient getting ready to check out, this is a really good place to get practical rehab when I got here I couldn't walk because of my neuropathy well I'm walking now.They pinpointed my needs and focused on that I'm very gracious to walk again it took a bit of hard work on my part and the therapy part. The food they give it's very very good the nutritionist comes around and ask you questions pertaining what you like and don't like and Eric doses best to fulfill your requirements and what you like,,"the lasagna is top notch and the chef salad gotta have it at least three times a week. I have been at Brookside now for a week.. Everyone I have had working with me have been kind, generous and genuinely kind! There’s a few that stand out and Jane is one of them, she’s been here 11 years. She’s always eager to help you get comfortable and she doesn’t make you feel guilty when you need to be cleaned up!. A genuine LOVE for her patients If you get Jane as your CNA consider yourself lucky and blessed, she seems to go above and beyond the average care giving. She’s adorable and loves her job you can’t go wrong here. The food is decent and Eric will accommodate you if there’s something else you might want to eat. Others I want to mention are Kimberly, Andrea, Miss Patty, Justin, Al and Alberto and Genesis there are some I am sure I am forgetting and for that I apologize to all that have been here helping them out. This place is beautiful as you drive up, and pleasant to be in!! You will enjoy this place the moment you get here.

Currently I have been here as a patient for 5 days post-op left hip replacement surgery. No complaints at all. The facility is clean, no odors, the food is good every one of my needs are met and in a timely manner. All staff from housekeeping, dietary, admissions, treatment, social services departments, Doctors, PA's, Physical Therapy Dept is the best motivational environment to promote therapeutic rehabilitation and PT's (Nestor, Rosie, Sean, Andrew) and OT's (Mr Hy, Mary Ann, Theresa), loved the James Brown music Theresa OT played to help motivate me to move, RN's, LVN's, both male CNA's Maruli, Samuel and Jose and female CNA's especially Jane Lasa, her demeanor is sweet, kind, gentle, caring and professional in patient care. This is my first experience in a rehab and any expectations of the unknown has been answered here. I am not the only patient here and others are far more critical than myself but Brookside makes me feel like the priority when care is provided to me. Thumbs up ‘ to their comprehensive wrap around and patient services. You can tell that they all work as a team, they are the real MVP's ‘ °

I was at Brookside for over a month. The facility is very clean but could use more staff. But I guess that’s at every facility. I wanted thought to give a BIG shoutout to three of the CNA’S that went above and beyond to help you. My morning cna was Jane. She made sure after breakfast you got to brush your teeth, wash your face, and a clean gown. She works very hard and was very responsive to seeing the call light and then being right there asap to see what you needed. She was AMAZING!!! At night I had two CNA’S that were such a help to me as well. I need to give a special thank you to two SPECIAL ladies that work so hard. That’s Sarah and Sydney!!! They also responded to your call light so quickly. If you had a question and needed an answer they would get that for you. They made you feel like family not just another patient. I’ve been at brookside since the end of January and have had my ups and downs with treatments and nurses. But i am so, so grateful for a CNA named Jane who is always there to give her patients a laugh, or a shoulder to lean on. It’s hard when you are in pain and stuck in here but having someone like Jane around is one of the best ingredients for recovery. Her kindness, compassion, and empathy help us all. Most importantly she knows how to sit back and listen and sometimes that’s what we need the most. The girls from physical therapy are great. They know how to push but not too much and when to give you space when you need it. This is the 3rd place I’ve been in since December and in terms of kindness and compassion, it is absolutely the best. And I will be forever grateful for the CNA Jane, for making me smile on my lowest of days and letting me cry when I needed it. Nursing is a hard job and because we feel bad we often lash out at the hospital support staff even though it’s not their fault and they’re just trying to help. Cut them some slack. They deserve the best for helping us through our worst moments.
