My 93-year-old father is a resident at Accel at Willow Bend, and our family has had a wonderful experience. The nursing staff is compassionate, attentive, and truly cares about the residents. Cinda, who handles his laundry, is very personal and kind, and Patty in the Business Office has been incredibly patient and helpful walking us through the billing process. The physical rehab team even let my father borrow a walker until his arrived and assembled it for him once it did.

This facility had a low rating, and it is unwarranted. It is as good as the top 5. All Rehabilitation facilities have staffing problems because there just are not enough people available in the industry, and all companies do not invest (pay their employees enough)in keeping top notch professionals. This is my third time I needed Rehab. I like Accell at Willow Bend better than Prestonwood which is rated number 2 in Plano. The major focus is on rehabilitation first. Activity begins at 8am with breakfast and ends with Lunch and the shift change at 2pm. Same as every Rehab. If you need more nursing Accell is not for you.

I will be very honest .. this living facility is working on improving the environment and it’s very well needed. There are a few nurses that actually care about patients in this facility and one of them is Nurse Latasha Doss. The facility needs to recruit nurses like her.

We love this Accel. This facility truly cares about their patients. We just had Tasha and Crystal come to the room to help move mom and they are two of the most compassionate people I have ever met. Our mother has been in several skilled nursing facilities the past few years and this is hands down the best. The social workers, PT/OT, directors, nurses, literally all the staff are impressive. Tasha and Crystal definitely are special employees.

I've been here at Accel for a 1 year in a half. And love it here besides the food. The nursing team is amazing. My favorite nursing assistant is my assistant Tasha. She goes above and beyond for me and my roommate. I thank her for all she does.

This is an incredible facility! It is perfectly clean and really beautiful. The staff are so kind, from Dianna greeting you when you walk in, to the nursing and support staff. All are incredible! We could tell my dad was in the right place because the other patients were all happy and in the sitting areas outside of their rooms. We are so very thankful for Ty the marketing director who was instrumental in getting my dad here. We are forever thankful for him and the opportunity my dad has to come here and heal. If I could give it 10 stars I would!

I can’t say enough good things about the team at Accel. The staff here truly goes above and beyond for their residents every single day. You can tell they genuinely care, not just about meeting needs, but about making people feel valued and comfortable. The building is welcoming, the team works together seamlessly, and the level of professionalism is outstanding. I would absolutely recommend Accel to anyone looking for a nursing facility where loved ones will be well cared for by an amazing group of people. I also want to recognize Administrator Travis, who is truly outstanding. He leads with compassion, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to the residents and staff. Clean, spacious, with engaged staff most of the time! My father was cared for well and the facility administrator Mr. F. Pratt was exceptional with his follow through. Their Social Events are engaging and well planned. Once you know and accept care cannot possibly be at the same level as a hospital and put things in perspective, it becomes clear they are “just barely” missing 5 Stars: I have no doubt that will be soon. Almost There! Too bad there is not a 4.5 Star option

Wonderful facility. Very well maintained. From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel welcome. From the nurses to the front desk to the therapy team were was kind, professional, and genuinely cared about the well-being of the residents. The facility is nice but your cna Cindy is truly unprofessional I was there with my father,and everyday Cindy came in with a attitude she mishandled him and from my understanding she has also treated other patients the same. We reported her and they changed his tech but she still handled things unprofessional.. a person like her shouldn't be able to take care of people in the situation that the patient's here are in, but beside that we truly thank and appreciate everyone for the treatment he received

Over the years nursing homes have received negative reviews from unhappy family members. There aren't enough family members like myself who are happy with the care provided to our parents and loved ones writing reviews. I have been guilty of this myself. I want to take moment to thank the staff at Accel at Willowbend for the exceptional care provided to my aunt. Special thank you to the Director of Nursing, Kimberly (I apologize for not remembering her last name) for her patience in explaining their care procedures and crafting a careplan that better suited my aunt's needs. I know it required the staff to make a few extra steps, but Nursing Kimberly and team went the extra mile. For that I am eternally grateful. As family members, we entrust the care and security of our loved ones to strangers, well Kimberly and team at Accel at Willowbend are no longer strangers to me and mine, they are family! My 93 yo mother was at Accel for over 6 weeks in rehab. She left 3 days ago and is now able to ambulate and get around with a walker. The rehabilitation was so helpful and while I never met her PT therapist my mother spoke highly of him. The administrative staff at Accel is caring, professional and concerned. The general manager at Accel was always there for us when we had an issue or questions and really helped my mother become adjusted to the ebb and flow at Accel. I cannot say enough about Franchot the GM, Kimberly, Dir. Of Nursing, Pat, Patty, Cindy and the rest of the admin staff. They are top notch and lovely people. The nursing staff and aides are very caring too with the exception of one female aide who has since been let go, everyone was great. Amanda, Crystal and Derrick were exemplary and cared for my mother with great patience. My mother felt like they treated her like family. If my mother is ever in need of rehab in the future I wouldn’t hesitate to bring her back to Accel. Thank you all for how you cared for my mother and for being so patient with her.

My mom’s only been at Accel at Willow Bend since Christmas Eve night and I love this place. The people who work there are nice and they care. I just spoke with her OT and they’re already doing above and beyond what they did at my mom’s previous skilled nursing facility. At the previous facility, I think they saw her only as a means to make money and do as little as possible although there were some nice nurses and physical therapists. Thank you to Michelle, Crystal, and Dennis, the fantastic nurses whose names I can remember! All of the nurses are wonderful, kind, and helpful. Thank you, Accel. I’m already so grateful for you. UPDATE! My mom is doing SO much better! When I stopped by yesterday, she was in the dining room, sitting and talking with two super nice men who are also patients! She’s getting back to herself and it’s beautiful to see. Accel is wonderful. The CNAs are so loving, kind, and fun, I know that’s helping my mom heal! I wish I knew everybody’s names, but I can definitely say Derek and Sasha are absolutely beautiful people and they’re so kind. Thank you again, Accel!
