Placing a loved one under hospice care is a heavy burden and a hard task. Avamere Issaquah was not our first choice strictly because of the location being not too close to us. However we are happy our loved one ended up under their care. This is not a five star hotel and I saw people complained about it being dated but this place is not depressing like some others, it is clean, airy, the room was private and good, and mainly all staff was very understanding, helpful and they kept the comfort as their first priority and this is what counts in the end.

I was here for two weeks after nasty ankle surgery. All I can say is that every one of the staff, from nurses to the PT and OT were awesome! Food could not have been much better if they tried. Nurse Jaimey could not be any better. Baracka was amazing and very accommodating. However, Tena (Ms. Turner) was amazing! I wish I had the chance to say goodbye to her. If the staff reads this, please tell Tena she still owes me a dance!

I came in with a wheelchair and no foot and walked out 8 weeks later with a new functional foot. The staff was excellent attentive and very engaged in my healing progress. The food was excellent and always plenty. If you need great care, I would go to Avemere of Issaquah.

My step-dad was admitted at Avamere Issaquah Nursing and Rehabilitation twice following a significant stay in a hospital and failing at home. He received phenomenal care from all the staff. Therapy covering all bases and helping him regain his strength better than ever. Staff listened to his needs, answered all our questions, responded to concerns quickly and swiftly. Even sang with him when he would play piano! The care provided was beyond what any daughter could ask for, for their parent. They answered all of my many questions, and helped us with figuring out next steps when he wasn’t appropriate to return home safely. Thank you everyone at Avamere Issaquah, for all the support and amazing care for my stepdad.

My dad was admitted at Avamere Issaquah Nursing and Rehabilitation for 6 weeks following an intensive stay in a hospital. The admissions office was able to bring him from Aberdeen wa to be closer to me and got approval in less than a day. Someone was there to greet us on arrival and take us to his room. The room was clean and fresh smelling. They brought him a meal tray and began working with him the next day after settling in. He received amazing care from all the staff. He was able to regain his strength and memory and successfully discharge home safely. They answered all of my questions and helped us through the whole recovery process. I know where to go if something happens again with him or any of my family and that is refreshing. Thank you everyone at Avamere Issaquah. For all the support and amazing care.

I am currently in Avamere for rehab. Mine will be a short stay, but I have been here over a week & excellent care, food is good, pt is tailored to my injury and making great strides. Not sure why everyone has something to bad to say?! Everyone here is extremely nice, pleasant & friendly. There have been no issues with me getting help when I need it.

My brother was there for over 4 months. We finally got him out. He has bed soars and lots of rashes. I would not recommend this facility to anyone

My partner is here recovering from spine surgery. This place has an awesome staff. They have good food, good PT staff and my partner is very happy here. It's not fancy, but you will be well cared for. Nurse Michelle is wonderful.

My 2c: Do not leave your loved one here in good conscience for long term care. There is a reason for the poor reviews on google and I wish I had paid more attention to those than their 5-star rating on Medicare. It is a pity, coz the location is beautiful, and the therapists are reasonably competent and some of the CNAs /nurses like Nancy and Margaret were nice, caring people. But there is a lot left to be desired. The change in management has not turned things for the better as far as I can see. I only give it 3 stars because of the handful of nice therapists and couple of nice nurses we met along the way. My mother stayed here for 2 months while recovering from brain surgery. She had to deal with many rude CNAs who do just the bare minimum to provide care. They left her sitting on the toilet a few times sleepy and in danger of nodding off and falling. Care is very spare at night. My mother had trouble with sleep a few weeks after surgery but there was no empathy for that. She was never taken out of the rooms into fresh air. I went every other day to do that. The staff did not mask when we arrived and sure enough, a covid wave ran through the ward after which they isolated the patients even more. But even before and after the wave, the people who saw sunshine were the mobile ones. I feel bad for the rest of the older folk that can't advocate for themselves. Dietary instructions had to be repeated multiple times over multiple weeks before they got it right. Social services and Management seemed callous and incompetant, ignoring my calls and claiming they had no idea how to deal with insurance to extend moms stay and that I had to do it myself. I spent hours getting it sorted between them and insurance and getting the folks at Avamere instructions on how to do the extension. I finally walked in to Avamere, got relevant folks in a room with insurance and then it worked out. If as a lay person, I could figure it out, I think someone paid to deal with insurance should have been able to do the same. Instead the Rehab director handed me 100 pages of my mom's paperwork and told me I should fax in a request for extension myself. I inquired with a contact at Evergreen and was told that only the provider could have asked for the extension and it was strange that they made me figure it out. They claimed they only knew to deal with medicare and not an insurance from the marketplace. All in all, this could be a happy community of seniors with caring staff, but its not. Its at best a holding cell where basic needs are met. I hope they realize their unmet potential some day.

Week day staff is wonderful and the facility is clean. Weekend staff is trimmed way back and the phone system is virtually non-existent. Patients are left in near total isolation as family and friends cannot reach them and with COVID, cannot visit.. Very upsetting.

Nurse Angie was wonderful to work with, unfortunately the rest of the staff was not helping my mother when she needed it. Not recommended!

I have been very impressed with my visits at Issaquah Nursing it is filled with wonderfully attentive and caring staff from housekeeping to nursing to the management. I can’t say enough great things about this wonderful place. It is tucked away in such a beautiful location in Issaquah. I highly recommend.

Seems like they are busy with the covid rehab patients. If you need anything you have to call. Mealtime is a bad time to call as all staff help. Did take good care of my mom and she is doing much better now. Thanks to the team here at Issaquah rehab.

Going to have surgery this summer and am looking forward to the great care I got the last time I was lucky enough to to have my rehab here. Great people medical staff and PT persons always cheerful, kind and most of all thoughtful ,for a person of my age it is so comforting. I found the decor to be fresh and soothing,and the food was so good. Nice place to recover and heal.

When I toured Issaquah Rehab I was told that they have a full-time Nurse Practioner in addition to their Doctor coverage. Being a Doctor myself, I was impressed by this extra layer of healthcare. The facility my Mother was in earlier did not have this level of care. If I or my Mother ever need a Nursing & Rehab facility again we will choose Issaquah Rehab.

Lynnette greeted us and gave a wonderful tour of all the services Issaquah Nursing offers. She was lovely and personable, answered all our questions and made us feel like welcomed guests. The facility is extremely clean and well maintained. Everyone I spoke with takes pride on the level of care they deliver. They earned my business.

I'm here now doing rehab after cervical spine surgery. What do I think so far? (I'll update as I'm leaving. ). The people are wonderful. I've never seen such a caring and talented group.

Was there after complete knee surgery. Had great experience, excellent care, cheerful staff and walked out after 2 weeks with only the aid of a cane. I was in better shape coming out physically then when I went in. I would revommend this place to everyone. Thanks to all the personal there.
