This has got to be the worst nursing home in the area. I have made seven or eight calls today and the only answer you get is at the front desk but not one answer on the floor I needed to be connected to. My relative can't see and can't hear they bring in her meals throw it down and most of them just rush out and leaves her to struggle. There are a few good considerate people I'm not saying they're all like that. Improvements need to be made I shouldn't have to call seven times and still not be able to talk to someone.

Very well pleased with the entire staff at Windber Woods. My dad was there for over two weeks and I have nothing negative to say about the care he received. They went above and beyond to help my dad with his recovery.

A relative has been in there over a year. And from what I've seen, the place is horrible. They need to find somebody to run it correctly. I'm sorry most of the time the food is unedible. There was three times she didn't even get a meal at dinner time. And it's for getting her meds on time and the right meds. Well that's a whole other story. She's not getting the health care She needs and you have to wait not days, but sometimes weeks to get something done. There are a few good people there and I see they're slowly leaving because of poor management.

Dad was taken there to rehabilitation after covid. The people are great there. From getting him registered to all the care the gave him. The nurses and aides were great with him. True care givers! Physical therapyis great also. Keeps you updated on progress! Would definitely recommend ! Thanks to them for great experience!

Staff at Windber Woods is amazing. The nursing staff was excellent as they treated my father and myself with professionalism, kindness, compassion, and respect. Physical therapy was excellent. According to the state of Pennsylvania, staff should engage and encourage participation which entails more than just asking whether or not a resident would like to participate in physical therapy. Physical therapy altered, within limits, their scheduled based on my father's needs as they recognized his limitations. Administration is excellent at addressing concerns, as limited as they were, and solving the problem. At Winber Woods, the resident and the family came first. The facility is definitely service and care oriented and presented my family with a fantastic experience. The staff overcame challenges regarding my father's appetite and energy levels as well as my father's personality challenges. I completely recommend Windber Woods as I am pleased with the nursing, physical therapy, social service, dietary, administration and housekeeping along with maintenance disciplines.

Amazing staff! Especially the PT department's Craig and Teddi. My grandfather moved here and was not doing well physically until Teddi (his PT) started working with him. Before he could barely walk and now he could run a marathon, thanks to Teddi! I'm so glad there are such kind, caring staff members like her here.

Move my mom there early 2020 from different nursing home where I did not care for the care she was getting. Since this was during the Covid, I was not able to see her get moved. WW called me on day 1 for update on her move and what they did. First week got few more calls for info and on her condition. Always got a weekly call or more. Later they set up zoom sessions for vitrual visits, not only with me but my bother and his grandchildren. When we were able to have physical vists she was smiling and did not have any complaints. Since her hearing a bad someone always sat with her to relay what we were saying. The set up virual doctor visits with the wound clinic reducing the stress from transport. Alway got at least a weekly call on her wound condition. I have no regrets moving her toWindber Woods where they attended her needs, kept her comfortable and paid attention to her till the day she passed away in December.

My mom was admitted 7/23/20 in hopes of doing PT to get stronger. Unfortunately she rapidly failed and moved into Long Term care and passed away 7/28. Me and my family have nothing but praise and gratitude to offer to EACH and EVERY employee and staff that we dealt with. We would not have wanted my mom to be at any other facility during her last weeks. Those employees are simply AMAZING!
