Wellbridge of Romeo has been taking care of my grandma for about two months now and my family and I could not be happier with the care she has received. The nurses are always on top of my grandma’s needs, the food is top-notch (clearly made fresh with real fruits and vegetables served at every meal), and any concerns are always clearly communicated to us. Every staff member knows my grandma and my family by name and always makes us feel welcome when we are visiting. Kim (the Director of Nursing), in particular, has been incredibly considerate and helpful throughout my grandma’s adjustment to the facility. She is on top of every concern and we always see her tending to the needs of every resident. To make my Grandma feel more at home, Kim went out of her way to bring my grandma her favorite food! The level of compassion, care, and dignity Kim and every staff member has provided to my grandmother is unmatched by any other facility! When we visit, we can clearly see that this level and quality of care is provided to every resident at WellBridge of Romeo. The physical therapy and occupational therapy provided At Wellbridge of Romeo are another notable aspect of care. The facilities are always clean (We constantly see the staff cleaning equipment between each use), and the therapy was effectively tailored to meet my grandma’s needs. My Grandma had been to multiple facilities and none of them compare in quality to Wellbridge of Romeo. We were constantly worried about my grandmas well-being/health at other facilities, but we have complete peace of mind at Wellbridge of Romeo. We really cannot thank them enough and would recommend them to everyone!

Wellbridge of Romeo has a lot to recommend but there are some serious negatives. The facility is located in a quiet tranquil wooded area and the building itself is very nice. Staff is quite good especially nurses Emily, Stephanie, Erika and Jordin. Also aides Lisa and Kathy. Physical therapists Nancy and Martha were very encouraging when I was often weak and negative about going to PT. Alex was the best dietician and counseled me on nutrition to get stronger and healthier. Speaking of nutrition, the food was not good. Coffee was always cold. Eggs were cold and rubbery. The food was pre-made and not very nutritious or appetizing. I finally settled on oatmeal for breakfast. The only decent coffee was in the Bistro, but it was often closed due to staffing shortages. But the WORST was the blood draw system. They almost always drew my blood at 3am! And the phlebotomists poked me way too often until they could find a good vein. Being awakened at 3 am and then poked repeatedly doesn't help in recovery or health improvement. On at least 2 occasions they lost my blood samples and had to redo them!

I have been very pleased with the care my mom and dad have received here. Dad passed away over the weekend, and the staff were so incredibly kind and attentive to the whole family. His nurse Rose was so sweet and on the ball with his medication and checking in regularly. CNA Kade was an absolute gem in a really hard time, taking care of mom, bringing water and jello, making sure we had everything we needed and more. We were so grateful for their support.

Thank you Wellbridge for all you do! From the moment I arrived here for rehabilitation it has been absolutely amazing. All of the staff have been outstanding so kind, caring, and compassionate. The receptionits are very professional, sweet and thoughtful. The nurses and cna's go out of there way to make my day brighter by doing special things like braiding my hair, nurse Rachel gave me a relaxing soak in the bathtub giving me the 1st good night sleep since the accident, they give me a shoulder to cry on when needed or make me smile and laugh. Thank you Marty from OT.The facility is always immaculate and smells so clean. The grounds and the gardens are so lovely and peaceful. The food is delicious and the have a bistro thats fabulous. I have never seen another center thats even close to being as perfect as this one. Wellbridge makes me feel as if I am family, all the love and comfort you feel here. They go above and beyond.

My father was in the care of the Wellbridge Romeo team for about 6 weeks. I can not say enough about the care they provided. The PT/OT team helped him get back on his feet after a massive operation! All of nursing, and therapy treated him so well. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone!

My father-in-law spent 6 weeks here post-op following a major abdominal surgery. We were extremely apprehensive about any nursing facility but he needed the rehab. We were blown away with the level of care, assistance and compassion at Wellbridge of Romeo. The physical therapy department was EXCELLENT. We are truly thankful to have a facility like this in our community!

My mother was placed there for short physical rehabilitation after a 3 1/2 week stay in the hospitalI fought and pushed hard to get her into this facility which was the BIGGEST MISTAKE I have ever made. Know she wasn’t eating hardly anything and that she was on a Heparin IV for the duration of her stay in the hospital and was discharged on Eloquis they kept giving her Ibuprofen every 4 hrs on an empty stomach which caused a GI bleed, even after being questioned about this they said it was fineblack diarrhea every 2 hrs for 1 1/2 didn’t seem to even concern the staff, staff wouldn’t change the bloody pillow case from the lab work they did on her and wouldn’t clean up the toilet seat from a slight mess that was leftthe family had to do it and the aide specifically told us that janitorial wouldn’t be in for another 14 hrs. After the lab work came back it literally took 3 calls with a total of 13 minutes letting the phone ring before the nurse in her unit would answer, she proceeded to tell me they are trying to get ahold of the Dr because her blood pressure was lowit was 69/43 and your waiting to hear back from a Dr??? She was then rushed via 911 to the hospital where she passed away 3 days due to a GI bleedI would not recommend this place to ANYONE who cares about a loved one!!! You killed my mother you incompetent fools

You will not regret choosing Wellbridge of Romeo for your loved one or yourself. The food is great, in-fact it is the best food I have had in a skilled nursing facility. Our nursing team provides great care. OT and PT will work tirelessly to help your loved one reach their goals and potential after surgery, strokes, etc. The department heads all have great experience in the industry and will answer any questions you may have as well. Overall, this will be an EPIC experience for you and your family.

Our bistro manager is a real pleasure to work with and provides amazing customer service as well as cooks very tasty items. I have a parent who has been at three locations (various times for various surgical recovery needs) and I can say the Romeo facility is by far the best one! By best one, I am basing my opinion on the staff and cleanliness (Not the management since they’re just behind the scenes shuffling numbers and papers full of word salad) The kudos goes to those doing all the down and dirty work! The team is caring, compassionate, responsive, calming, strong, they lend a hand when needed, talk with families if asked questions, empathize, sympathize, and all while they keep a friendly demeanor. The Romeo nurses and nurse aids are truly the BEST and they deserve to be recognized for it! I hope that they are, since experiencing the other facilities and the lack of concern AND CARE received this place is like night and day! I would have given 5 stars, but I gave 4 because of the food. The food I am told is good, but often times it’s cold (coffee and breakfast) seems to be cold most often. But, care is more important imo, so huge thanks to the staff at Wellbridge Romeo! ™

This has been by far the best facility my mom has been to. Everyone here is so kind and patient. She has not had one bad nurse or aid. The food is really delicious and the chef is very creative. My mom has wounds that have not healed due to lack of care at other facilities but they are actually healed from her stay here. I would highly recommend Wellbridge to anyone! I have been impressed by their care and kindness!

My sister was well treated at first, however she had medical issues from sustained auto accident injuries that resulted in some overnight hospital stays, and she therefore had setbacks. I feel the management of the rehabilitation area was not willing to work with the setbacks and my sister was made to feel as though there was nothing more they could do for her. As a result, we found another facility who has been an amazing help in her goals. She has made great strides and her confidence level in her abilities makes us all proud. I would only recommend Wellbridge as a short term facility, as it’s all about the money.

While the food and entertainment is great, a family member of mine is tending to my grandma and my family member has been greatly distressed by certain staff members. While some staff are lovely, others are too busy talking with their cowokers to give my grandma the physical therapy she needs. Most distressing of all, is that my family member has been accused of "elder abuse" by the same staff member on multiple occasions. I am completely outraged. Not only does this go against my family member's character entirely, the term "elder abuse" seems to be thrown around flippantly by this staff member. If the staff member really thought my family member was elder abusing, they would have turned it in somehow. Instead the staff member bluntly says the term at my family member. "That's elder abuse." THIS STAFF MEMBER DOES NOT KNOW MY FAMILY MEMBER. They have no idea how many sleepless nights my family member spent taking my grandmother to the bathroom every ten minutes. They don't see how my family member worries and literally weeps at home over my grandmother and her future care. My family member has been traumatized by such accusations as "elder abuse." This term is not fair, not true, and horrible for anyone to say to another person - unless that person is actually committing elder abuse. Upon one of the occasions this staff member said this and my family member defended themselves, the staff member then refused to give my grandma her medication for a whole hour. Another time my grandma's back was horribly bruised when my family member and I came to visit and no one would tell us how that happened. My grandma is in a bed basically all day because no one wants to walk her to the bathroom...so what happened? This makes me not trust the staff! You have no idea what my family member has gone through trying to care for my grandma. It has completely taken over their life and seeped into mine as well. I can tell you first hand that no abuse is happening. Anyone who knows my family member, including my grandma, will tell you the same. Please educate your staff on elder abuse and encourage them to not make statements so carelessly. It's true I don't know this staff member's side of things, but they are treating my family unjustly and I will not tolerate that.

After back surgery and being treated horribly at Troy Beaumont I came to Wellbridge of Romeo for recovery. I did not expect the kind of care I received. I was treated so well that I wanted to stay on for a while longer. Everyone was professional, cordial and very friendly. Recovering from major back surgery isn't easy and the staff along with the atmosphere made the time go by quickly. I was even allowed a visit from my dog that I missed. The exterior was so peaceful and beautiful along with the magnificent courtyards. I would return if my health required it and I would definitely recommend Wellbridge of Romeo with 5 stars!

I can't express enough how happy we were with our experience at Wellbridge Romeo. Our mother spent time there prior to her passing at the facility. The staff was kind, caring, and very helpful throughout her stay and a blessing to our mother and our family. I recommend this facility for your loved ones. Sure, every situation is different depending on the condition of your family member but we also witnessed how well other patients were handled while we were spending time with our mother. We can speak from our experience that we were very happy with the nurses, the facility and our mothers care while at Wellbridge Romeo.
