Facility was clean, somewhat dated. Room 208 is very small. My only complaint is the noise level. People in the hallway talking in loud voices. It does not help with the healing process if the patient can not get the rest they need. Thank you.

Villa Maria staff welcomes our LOVE ON A LEASH certified Pet Therapy visits. I have visited this facility for approximately 30 years and the residents love to pet our dogs. I am giving this facility a 5 star rating because VMPA is worth every star. My uncle (like a grandpa to me) is a long term resident and has been for about 3 years. Every department deserves a shout out- THERAPY: has been AMAZING with him. He was bed ridden when he came and now is able to walk w a front wheel walker for short distances. He uses the bathroom when he was incontinent before coming there. They make it fun for him and before he comes home on visits they work with him in stairs and transfers so that way he doesn’t have a hard time going up and down my steps and getting in/out of car. They are wonderful with him and treat him like a friend having fun opposed to a patient having to work out to get stronger. NURSING/CNA: They will call if he’s refusing medications or shower or getting out of bed so I can have a chance to see if I can get him to. They treat him like family, not just another number on their med cart. They I’ll call me if he’s having a bad day to let him speak to him because he can’t dial himself as he has dementia and it cheers him up. He’s lost weight off and on and they are really good about keeping track and helping him stay on track and lose more weight. KITCHEN: He’s super picky and hard to please. They do their very best to accommodate him and when they know he won’t like something they are making, they will make him something he does like and will eat without me having to ask for a change in menu. ACTIVITIES: He used to participate in activities a lot more before, but once in awhile he will. However, I must say this department thrives in what they do. They have something going on for their patients every day to keep them busy. For patients that don’t like to socialize much and are more about being in their rooms, they come to their room la and bring activities to them which I think is really awesome. APPOINTMENTS: They really help with making appointments and if I can’t take him to an appointment they will do their best to accommodate and take him for me. Villa truly is a place where I feel he is safe and taken care of. It’s not just a facility where you feel they are left to be alone. It’s a place where they treat you like family and care about every single person there. Thank you villa for the care you give my uncle, it’s appreciated more than you will ever know.

Great customer service from the moment you walk through the doors. Their admission team is very knowledgeable and attentive. There nurses and CNAs were so kind and helpful. Our Aunt was at Villa Maria for about 2 months. She was well taken care of by all the staff at Villa Maria Post Acute Center. Therapy team and the nursing team were very professional and attentive to our aunt’s needs. Special “Thank You” to BJ, he not only helped us with the admission, through out the 2 months, he continued assisting us with all of our questions and concerns. My grandmother just discharged from this facility. I can say the care, staff and facility was remarkable. All staff was very attentive including the administrator and DON. Therapy department helped my grandmother get over the fear of falling again, get stronger and able to walk independent again. Nursing took care of all concerns and treatment. I wish to acknowledge all the Nurses/Aides, Cooks, Laundry/Housekeeping, Administrator & Staff, Staff Medical Physicians/Techs, especially RN Genny and so many others: Thank You for taking superior care of my Beloved Mother Beverly Steele!! She is Always very Happy & Excited! I live over 2200 miles away towards the east coast due to military obligations and I work with the VA Hospital. I have also been a CNA, back in the day, as well as Assistant Chef, and worked in nursing homes/rehab centers over the years.. I do understand "staffing issues".. For example, why a Nurse might not be able to answer the phone when I call. I would be much happier knowing that a Nurse & Staff are taking excellent care of my cherished Mother & her fellow Residents, than entertaining me on a phone call at an inopportune time (such as: bath time, meal prep, dining schedules, medical check-ups, etc..). So, Please, be patient my fellow " extended family members of Villa Maria" when our hardworking caregivers are having a "busy day". I know firsthand what it is like to take care of 40 patients, keep them from falling out of bed or wheelchairs, take them to the restroom, and much much more can be said about the daily (24 hours) care our beloved family members are receiving at the caring hands of so many gentle & kind loving nursing facility staff. Remember, Villa Maria is our loved one's Home at this time. It is their 24-Hours Residence, much like a full service hotel. So, let's be patient & thankful for those rendering services to our loved ones that we, for whatever reason, are not fully equipped to provide them ourselves. My Mother, Beverly J. Steele, is Completely Satisfied with her care, Excited about her environment, and LOVES THE STAFF & HER FELLOW RESIDENTS! This gives me so much hope & comfort knowing she is happy, well-taken care of and is on her road to a very positive recovery! Thank you all again each one of the Staff for all you do, sacrifices you make every day, to help see that my Mother & many more Residents receive the most attentive & productive care possible. My wife and I attended a church-sponsored chapel time on Saturday to sing and pray with the Villa Maria residents. We found them in good spirits, dressed nicely, and enjoying the singing. The care-givers spoke softly and kindly to those under thair care. I was pleased that there were no unpleasant odors and that everything was clean and neat. We have had several friends stay there in the past and had no complaints with the care they received.
