My husband was admitted to the Plaza for a two week stay. He has Parkinson’s and had been hospitalized with a bad illness. He needed to go to rehab afterwards to learn to walk again. He underwent intense therapy and was walking again in no time. The Plaza was wonderful. The aides and nurses took very good care of him. He was bathed every other day and all his needs were met! They laughed and talked with him and made rehab which he underwent 6 days a week, not so bad! I would recommend The Plaza to anyone! We both enjoyed watching the little Prairie Dogs in the courtyard! They were so cute! Special thank you to nurse Travis and aide Chrissy you were awesome and we appreciated you more than you know!

The plaza is a Hit and miss place I had a uncle in law that once stayed here there staff can be rude at times and unorganized it seems as if everyone hates there jobs but just do it I did encounter good things as well the bus driver was a lovely lady you could tell she worked hard and was young as well working hard she came at a timely matter very Polite, Friendly, and accommodate to needs because at the time no oxygen tank if there where more people like that this world would be a better places there where other staff member i was fond about but she is one that stuck out to me

I’ve had a really positive experience with this facility and feel it’s important to share a more balanced perspective. Caring for people”especially with such a wide range of needs”is incredibly complex, and no two residents or families have the exact same experience. While I’ve seen some negative reviews, I think it’s only fair to consider that situations can vary greatly depending on individual expectations, communication, and circumstances. Sometimes challenges come from the difficulty of the situation itself, not necessarily a lack of care or effort from the staff. What stands out to me is that there are many staff members who have been here for years, and that says a lot. Longevity like that doesn’t happen in a place that doesn’t care. From what I’ve personally seen, the team genuinely tries their best and shows compassion toward the residents. No facility is perfect, but I believe this one truly cares about the people they serve. I would encourage others to look at all sides and, if possible, visit and form their own opinion.

The Plaza is one of the nicest facilities in Lubbock! It's always clean and smells nice and the staff are the friendliest! Especially the Social Worker, Abigail! She's incredibly knowledgeable and has a sincere heart for her clientele!

My Dad is a Resident at this Place. It's Nice and Clean. And my Dad seems to enjoy the Staff here. Every Time I Visit Him the Staff seems to give Him good Medical Care and Assistance. For the most part I'm glad and have peace of mind that my Dad is being taken good care of at this Facility..

My daughter was in rehab and the staff was so sweet and physical therapy did her wonders. Thank you for being so loving and caring. They had a variety of activities and food for the patient.

I was taking very care of in the Plaza. The staff from aides, nurses to physical and occupational therapy all were very respectful and I felt as if I was I was a part of their family and not as a patient.

The two nurses that really did a fabulous job is Charles in hall 300. I.would actually another Kevin. in hall 300. I have been very impressed both are extreme nurses they show compaction, love of the job, very helpful Charles surprised us when he spoke spanish to Diana Perez that is taking care of the resident.

My dad has been at The Plaza for about 3 weeks I live 2 hours away so I can not see about him everyday but this place is awful. My dad went seven days without a shower and I had to tell the nurse he had a bed sore. I have reached out several times speaking with the DON there are some things I think she does try to help with and others not so much. My dad hates it there and says he would not take a dog there for care. It seems that they never have enough staff and because they are waiting on Medicaid approval he gets horrible treatment. I am currently trying to find somewhere else for my dad to go. The lady in the office behind were you get covid-19 screened is horrible she is very rude and should not be helping people at all seems like she should work alone not around any type of caring for people

Not enough staff. Update 9/17/2020 Was watching Governor Abbott today say nursing homes could open back up so I called to see when this was going to happen. Was informed by the person who answered the phone "we don't go by what the Governor says we go by our own rules." Every time I talk to this person she rude and condescending. If I was rich I would take my mom somewhere else. But she loves it there. She has no idea that they only care about the almighty dollar. I think it's terrible to talk to anyone like this person talks to me. A Wolf in sheep's clothing.

The Plaza has a wonderful team If nurses and therapists. They take amazing care of their residents. Patients who come in for rehab services leave with great outcomes. I highly recommend.

Phyllis was not the nurse on my father's 100 wing. But she helped me with my dad in the restroom. I really appreciated her so much. It is nurses like her that helps me sleep at night.

I have been in and out of The Plaza at Lubbock for many years. It is one of the most consistently wonderful facilities in our area. Janet, the administrator, is kind and loving to her residents while also running a tight ship.The staff is always pleasant and the facility clean while at the same time very busy with residents participating in activities. I highly recommend this facility to my friends and family. "Granny Nell" is happy and that keeps her family happy!
