New Era has been and continues to be such a blessing to our relative. Staff makes it easy for visitations, and when taking family member for a day out, they provide the flexibility to return after office hours if needs be. Staff also follows up promptly if there's any issues that may arise. Staff always greets us with a smile and keeps our family member resident well groomed every time we visit. In June of 2022 we had to make the difficult decision to place our daughter in a mental ALF. After careful research and consideration, we applied to New Era Community Health Center and she was accepted. It was the best decision we have made regarding her care. After three years of her living in New Era we have interacted with a number of the staff; and we have very frequent contact with Jorge Musa, Owner, and Eduardo Castellanos, Administrator; especially with Eduardo, whom we consider a second father to our daughter. The staff is professional, responsive, friendly, and caring. The facility is well maintained and clean at all times. We have had a number of emergency/concerning situations regarding our daughter’s physical and mental health and they dealt with them diligently, efficiently, and compassionately. We are very happy with New Era and grateful for the excellent care our daughter receives there!

As a healthcare worker with a psych patient family member, I can honestly say New Era is an excellent facility. They provide integrated care and focus on family centered care. The medical providers are excellent. The psychiatric therapy on a group and individual bases beyond meet expectations. They also provide social interacting activities which creates and encourages patients to interact with each others. The nurses and support staff are caring and compassionate. The staff here is very caring. They seem to go out of their way to make any visit comfortable. As far as ALFs go this has to be the most down to earth. I’ve seen the front office get absolutely slammed with phone calls, family members, food deliveries, packages etc. and they made sure everything was right. Truly amazing!

I have been A healthcare service provider for the past 40 + years. So, a year ago we commenced experiences substantial challenges in assisting our legally blind dear loved one and he went through months of uncertainties and health challenges, including will to live. We could not locate a ALF or a group home to assist him to get his successful professional and personal life back on track, until we came across New Era in Homestead, FL. From day one when he arrived at New Era and wanted to immediately leave, Eduardo, Jorge and team convinced him to give it a day or two. They had him use the facilities and get groomed, provided new shoes and clothes but most importantly gave him care and support. He stayed there for 8 weeks, during which their clinical team identified 2 serious clinical health events and immediately transported him to Larkin Hospital, and tracked his progress daily while at Larkin. After 8 weeks at New Era he is back working full time, very appreciative of assistance form Eduardo, Jorge and ERA team. Honestly, as a CEO of a multi national health care company we have daily contact with ALF's SNF's, and community health centers and their residents, none of them match up to level of care New Era provides. I am very thankful to have this experience with New Era, they are over and above being professionals they are all very caring and not judgemental as to the situation of their residents. On the 30th, I took my brother there around 11 am. They took him inside, and the next day I went to see him. He asked to go home, everything was fine until the owner of the place, because he heard me say that if he didn't straighten up he would bring him back, started yelling that it wasn't a hotel and that they hadn't charged me for that day. I told him that if that was the case, I would pay for it, and he started yelling so much that my brother, who was fine, got so upset that he ended up in Jackson South Hospital. The only trash in that place is the owner; all the rest of the staff are excellent people. I don't know how someone like that is given a license to operate a psychiatric center like that, where he doesn't even know how to respect people. The weight of the peso belongs to the psychiatry department, or to the patients.

Recently had to place a family member here and could not be happier with the staff and facility. George and his team made accommodations to ensure we were happy as well as our loved one. The place is super clean and ALL staff so friendly. I would definitely recommend New Era.
