They knew 2 days ahead my husband was coming from hospital and he was on I.Vs antibiotics got there on Wednesday at 12:30 afternoon no antibiotics till Thursday morning he had to ask for them on Thursday night and they said we have no orders suppose to have them 3 times daily when the admission called me on the Monday before he got there I told her we had a problem with another rehab place and she assured me it would not happen well it did.My husband arrived like I said on Wednesday by Friday I had to go there each day plus call 4 times in 3 days ti make sure I don't get paid to do their paperwork 40 to 70 dollars a hour and the director of nursing Nicole never ever returned my calls after I left a message and phone number never again ...GordonOlson wife writing this revue

I worked with Meagan in Admissions to get my sister into Harmony Utica Ridge. She needed to be out of her apartment by a specific date and Meagan was very helpful in pulling all the paperwork together to get her into the home before the deadline. Later, I called and asked her about a possible change and she addressed it immediately. My sister is happy that she gets to pick items from a menu for her meals and said the food has been good. She’s only been there a short time, but so far, we’re very pleased. Thank you Meagan.

I was in Harmony Utica Ridge for rehab. I needed to learn basically how to walk and stand again. My physical therapist that I had was named Amy, she was amazing. She got me walking 140 feet. That is the most I have ever walked at one time. She encouraged and praised me. All the therapist clapped when we told them I walked 140 feet. The rest of the staff, the nurses and CNA’s, were very attentive to my needs. I have nothing negative to say about this place. They have a fantastic staff, and I mean them as a whole, that includes housekeeping and food service. I highly recommend Harmony. Thank You Harmony Utica Ridge Sue Wulf

Mom was at Harmony Utica Ridge for 2 1/2 months in the Rehab facility. She was recovering from a major stroke that affected her left side (specifically speech & swallowing, but also her vision, hand and leg) She received wonderful care from the CNAs, nurses and therapists. Occasionally, she would have to wait for a response to her call button for an extended time, but for the most part they were pretty responsive. Two areas that need improvement are showers and food choices & delivery. Mom was frequently skipped or asked to get her shower at 10:00pm, which was unacceptable. She said they were promised but not fulfilled. She was also upgraded to pureed food but was sometimes only given a small container of applesauce & Boost (mostly in the evenings). A couple of times her food was never even delivered to her room. They definitely need an increase in staff and wages. All of their jobs are difficult and deserve higher pay. RNs Celia and Sam were very receptive and friendly. We felt great compassion from them both. CNAs Kayla, Deja & Aria were wonderful. They were all very compassionate and friendly. Therapists Cheryl, Sarah, Janelle & Jamie were amazing. Each of them had their own way of making Mom feel special and heard. They helped her with her recovery and celebrated each small success! We appreciate everyone's help and consideration during her stay. Mom's stay was paid by Medicare.

Harmony Utica Ridge strives to be the best at what they do and that is to provide rehabilitation services as well as Long Term Care for those who need a bit of help with everyday needs. The Rehab department is top-notch, caring and understanding yet motivational There are many many years of experience behind their Nursing staff. They work to make your days a bit brighter. The aides help put their residents at ease as well. Sometimes becoming almost like family. You can be as busy as you want to be at Harmony with a staff here for Activity needs, even on weekends. The dietary staff is here to make sure you get the nutrition you need to get well, plus it tastes pretty good too. No one wants to be in a nursing home, even for a little while, but when you have no choice, this is the one to recover in.

Harmony Utica Ridge is such a beautiful building. It is light and airy. It is clean and the furniture and equipment are maintained well. The staff are very friendly and are willing to assist with residents' needs. They treat the residents like family. The therapy staff are encouraging and motivating. They have coffee and hot chocolate available to the residents whether they are receiving therapy or not. I would recommend Utica Ridge whether someone needs a short stay for rehabilitation or a long stay.

The staff at Utica ridge is some of the best I have seen! They truly care about the residents and go above and beyond to serve them. I would recommend Utica ridge for my loved one if they need a short stay or long term care. The building is beautiful and well maintained. My mother in law has been in there for a couple of weeks. I can count 3 people who are aides that actually genuinely care about their patients. But I cant count how many don't, because there are too many who don't care. She and others have been neglected for hours at a time leaving them sit soiled and needing assistance. The 2 stars rated are for the ones who care. Hire some good people who have compassion for the sick, disabled and elderly. Get rid of the ones who are in there to socialize and collect a paycheck! On top of it where's the good housekeeping? 4 days in a row during a visit, have cleaned up the messes they leave behind including soiled laundry and breathing equipment left on the floor and when was the last time anyone swept the floors? This is not going well, and we are relocating asap! Do not bring your family here. Daytime aides are amazing with her but the night time aides could care less

Harmony on Utica Ridge took good care of my dad for his two weeks there. The cna’s adapted to what he needed . Cna’s and nurses were helpful. The two 1st shift girls were good to him and Violeta on 2nd shift was good to him. Good cna’s need to be paid more. Therapists were also nice . Even some of the agency cna’s did a good job.

Very nice place it is clean and well organized. The food is very good and I’m a picky eater and they have unlimited snacks after 7:30pm the CNA lady’s are very helpful and professional and they seem to enjoy their work hats off and a very high 5 to Halie,Alex,V. Also all the physical therapy staff a big thank you to Amy,Lindsay, Steve and Katie everyone there is so helpful and made my 6 week stay there very enjoyable and also thanks to Bridget. My name is Patricia Wels. On a recent visit to Iowa from Oregon, I found myself totally incapacitated by a broken pelvis. Unable to care for myself, I was fortunately admitted to Promedica (formerly Manor Care) in Davenport, Iowa. I spent 7 weeks in the care of their nursing staff; Ryan, whose compassion saw me through some really rough evenings..... (adoption papers are pending). Travis, who would pop in to check on me even when he was assigned to another hall. Tonya, who would sit with me for a while during particularly painful wee hours of the morning. Tasia, who literally brought the full moon into my room to give me something beautiful on which to focus.. Lisa and Becky... all loving and compassionate. Then there were some sweet CNA's who were there whenever I pushed the magic button.... Andrea, Corrina, Malaysa, Hailey, michaela. and so may who names my old brain can't remember. All of them cared for me with sweet compassion. And, I cannot forget my physical therapists.. Lori and Natosha. These lovely ladies cracked their compassionate whips to aid me in my determination to get stronger. I came to love those ladies and the entire PT department I strongly suggest you take good care of yourselves. But if you do find yourself in need of some rehab..... I highly recommend Promedica in Davenport, Iowa!

Dad has lived here over 3 yrs. He enjoys living here (for a nursing home ). Staff generally treats Dad w/respect. RN's know him well! (He can be difficult) Clean room, friendly staff, cared for with respect. Dad's always clean, good food, encourage social skills, etc. Physical therapy available. Outside areas are easily accessible. He usually has room-mate, each has their own TV, but privacy is available. Dad reads A LOT; orders library materials via internet. He's post-stroke....so aphasic & non-mobile now. Quite happy with ProMedica overall!!!™

Our son has been a resident at Manor Care Utica Ridge for 17 months because he has a traumatic brain injury. The CNAs have gone out of their way to accommodate us. The nurses could not be better. The nurse practitioners and dr. are very involved and competent. The therapy staff is the best we have had in 31/2 years - San Diego, St.Louis, Encinitas, Ca., La Mesa, Ca., St. Louis, and Ankeny, Iowa. The building is clean and activities are varied and fun for residents. My husband and I have been with our son everyday all day for 2 years and now 5 hours a day-every day. We know what goes on. We advise that you stay involved with your loved one, get to know the staff, work with them. They have a difficult job but they will respond to you if you show you also care about them. The administrative staff at Manor Care Utica Ridge is always available. If you are dissatisfied, talk to them. If you are happy, pass it along and give credit to those who helped. We think no one wants to be in a nursing home- but sometimes you have no choice. We would choose Manor Care Utica Ridge every time. We feel caring for our son is a team effort. We are thankful to have these professionals on our team.

I do not recommend this facility. Physical therapy staff were very good, but most of the medical staff seem to not give a whit. Bells are going off 24/7 from patients who need something. I had to follow staff when I requested something for my family member, otherwise it'd be 30-45 minutes later in receiving it; i mean all the time, not just during "busy" times. No greeting when we got there (I mean no one came into the room to explain anything, say hello, oh you're here, zilch. Mom and family sat in room for nearly an hour on her bed when we got there, not knowing what to do). Most CNAs acted like they didn't want to work. No passion for the patient. No sense of urgency. Food was dismal. If I had my dithers, I would have driven Mom elsewhere that first night...very telling what was moto come. I'm giving 2 stars bc Mom liked the pt staff. Otherwise, it'd be 1 star! Ugh!!
