It takes a special type of individual to work in Geriatrics and rehabilitation. This facility has managed to find the right individuals. I cannot say enough about the caring and compassion that the associates show daily to the residents in their care. Office personnel, medical staff, dietary, maintenance all work to make this a wonderful and safe place. I am forever grateful that I have my mother in this facility.

My Brother Michael loves it here at SKLD in Whitehall. He is currently here along with Hospice enjoying his time He has day by day. Michael 53 years old has a rare aggressive Lymphoma cancer with no immune system to fight anything. SKLD in Whitehall has been very understanding and supportive by wearing masks and keeping his door closed behind them at all times to help in keeping Michael germ free as much as they can. SKLD in Whitehall has Him feeling welcomed and loved. SKLD in Whitehall are quick to answer your needs and resolve them to the best of their ability. I would highly recommend SKLD in Whitehall to more Family and my Friends. SKLD has been and continues to be a great experience for my mother. The staff are professional, caring and supportive as they make every effort to create a happy and healthy environment. My mother has lots of activities to engage in, and really enjoys the daily exercise class and coffee in the beautiful & bright main dining room. The entire place is clean and well maintained. My family feels very comfortable and appreciative that our mother is enjoying life at SKLD. Also, Amber, the administrator is so loving and caring. She really makes Mom feel loved and cared for.

So, in less than one week I had both of my Grandmothers have pretty significant falls at home. SKLD Whitehall was able to bring them both in for REHAB stays. I was able to visit them both, and was able to introduce them to eachother. What a way for family to meet. They both had very successful Rehab stays thanks to the amazing REHAB team, special thanks to Carmen, and all the staff at SKLD WH, truly one big family. Thank you all so much for caring for the matriarch of the families. SKLD Whitehall also offered activities such as morning excercises, so they can so can do EXTRA therapy if they choose too and are encouraged to do. They were able to hold eachother accountable and this made their rehab stay even more special. They are both now HOME and doing well with the strengthening and knowledge they learned for SKLD Whitehall. THANK YOU all so much for everything you do..

I believe my dad was well cared for. This is his second time at SKLD of Whitehall and I would recommend this facilities to others. I know the day will come that my dad will need these services again and SKLD of Whitehall will always be our fist choice With the COVID restrictions it was very difficult to not be able to "visit" my dad while he was there. As like everyone else, I was dependent on phone calls with staff to stay updated. We had some difficulties early on in the stay but once I was able to voice my concerns the Administrator Steve Chambers and Vice President Henry Boutros immediately responded and corrected the issue. - Thank you both

The staff here at skld whitehall is phenomenal, they are very caring! My goal in therapy was to be able reach the top of the door casing! I wasn't able to do it at all when I got here and now I can do it 7-8 TIMES!!! I love that I know every staff members by their first name, and they call me by nickname. I don't have enough words to compliment the staff here. They are loving,caring, outgoing, and they go above and beyond when asked to do anything! Anytime they pass by my room they are always smiling and saying hello or good morning! Even the big boss Steve makes it a point to come by and check on me!

My name is Arnulfo Trevino, and im here for rehabilitation, which is very good. It has helped me come a long way since I broke my back in multiple places. The CNA's have been very helpful and work really well together. They have great communication amongst themselves! If you have any questions on your meds or etc the staff is patient and listens to me so that I can get my problems under control. Also, all the administration staff is very well put together. My Social worker works extremely well with me.

This facility is, hands down, where I would ever want a loved one to be. The staff are so wonderful. Management is attentive to staff and resident/family needs. This isn't a facility that just takes people in. It is a facility that employs staff that actually CARES for your loved one. My brother Ronnie is a patient here; this facility is very pleasant, as he enjoys his stay here. The facility is maintained well, and clean. The staff members are accommodating towards my concerns from management down. If there is a problem with Ronnie, we are notified immediately about them =). We feel that if one would had to put a family member in this type of facility, I'd highly recommend this one!

My brother is a resident here at SKLD Whitehall, throughout his stay the staff has been extremely attentive to his Mental and Physical needs. As a family member communication is huge for me, and when I have a question regarding my brother's care it's either answered or followed up on in a timely manner. My wife was hospice nurse in the past so she is extremely aware of how a nursing home should communicate, and deal with families that have family members as a resident. With that being said, she appreciates when the facility reaches out to us if there is any concern regarding my brother throughout his stay.

SKLD staff, including nursing, PT, OT, ST, nurse management, administration assistants, and nurse aides have been congenial and have provided helpful and compassionate care for our loved one. Medical staff have followed up on specific issues of concern and have directed further evaluation and treatment as needed. The financial assistant has been helpful in explaining our case and has been available for questions. Coming from a less regulated facility, we see more state mandated medication regulations, but believe the changes made have been communicated and followed up adequately by medical staff. In comparison to another facility experience we have had, the same issues exist regarding communication of care needs, especially for the individual who cannot speak for her/himself. It’s important to be present often to communicate needs to staff and advocate on behalf of our loved one. When we have made a recommendation or expressed dissatisfaction regarding an issue to management personnel, they have followed up and worked to resolve the problem. The individuals caring for our family member work diligently and we appreciate their compassionate and cheerful service. Many are worth their weight in gold.
