I was a patient from June 8 - June 20, 2026 and I had a great experience with the staff and Therapist while rehabbing my left knee replacement. I thought everything went great both ways. I recently had complications and required a revision surgery which required rehab again and I requested Echelon, only to be denied because they said I left against medical advice, was rude and was demanding more pain medication when I was stable and was getting the same meds from day 1 until I was discharged with not one complaint about it. None of this was true at all and I hope that they are mixing me up with someone else, anyone who knows me would tell you that I am a pleasant person and rarely get upset with anyone at all. I was actually cleared to go home by the Physical therapy team and the following day a administrator came to my room to setup my discharge and we agreed on a day and I stuck to that plan and was actually properly discharged with paperwork and a entire print out of my medical stay from the Head Nurse. I am so confused on why I had this label put on me and I hope it's made right. Thank you Shaun Z, 48

This year’s Independence Day was truly unique, leaving a deep and unforgettable impression on all the seniors at the Echelon Care and Rehab Center and their families. This year marked the 250th anniversary of American independence, a big holiday that was meant to be filled with joy and celebration. However, starting on the evening of July 3rd, the air conditioning system in parts of the center suddenly malfunctioned. While urgently organizing repairs, the center, prioritizing the safety and health of the seniors, ultimately decided to temporarily relocate over two hundred residents to nearby hospitals or nursing facilities on July 4th. Under the unified command and leadership of the management team, Anita, Grace, and numerous other staff members: Lily, Candy, Phoebe, Wing, Joe . and also many staff members whose names I don't know, rushed to the scene to assist with the safe relocation of the seniors. Staff members first moved the residents to the gymnasium of the high school across the street; the facility was well-air-conditioned, allowing the seniors to rest comfortably while waiting for ambulances and transport vehicles. The weather that day was exceptionally hot, with the "feels-like" temperature reaching 104°F. Despite the conditions, the staff worked tirelessly from the early hours of the morning until nightfall, ensuring that every single senior was properly settled and cared for. As a family member of a resident, I was deeply moved by the staff's dedication. The sudden change of environment caused many elderly residents to feel anxious and agitated; some even cried out or refused to cooperate. Yet, the staff never once showed impatience; instead, they patiently soothed, explained things to, and comforted the residents again and again. This patience, sense of responsibility, and compassion deeply touched every family member present. Although the center’s facilities may not be as state-of-the-art as those in some newly built care homes, and the environment may appear somewhat dated, the staff's enthusiasm, patience, and quality of service are unmatched by many other institutions. While physical facilities are certainly important, what truly warms the heart is the sincere and attentive care provided by people. My father was later transferred to a facility with a beautiful environment and ultra-modern amenities, yet the service attitude and food quality there are not good as what we experienced at our Echelon center. This emergency relocation allowed us to witness the professionalism, unity, and sense of responsibility demonstrated by the entire staff of Echelon Care and Rehab Center during a crisis. My family and I are deeply grateful for this. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the management and staff who worked so hard for the residents; it is precisely because of your patient care and dedication that we, the families, can truly feel at ease.

My mom has been a resident at Echelon for almost 1 years now. I understand things may change after I write this positive review; however, the good people at Echelon deserve to be recognized. First and foremost, I want to thank the current management of Echelon: Sam, Eva, and Anita. These dedicated individuals always put their residents first and are readily available when issues arise. They listen attentively and find the best possible solutions to accommodate the residents’ needs. Their attentive customer service has eased many of my fears and worries. Nursing, Maintenance, Housekeeping, and Kitchen are the backbone of this facility. The nurses and CNAs have some of the toughest jobs here. While I cannot name everyone, I would be remiss if I didn’t mention Patrice, CeCe, Joel, Chi, and Anita--the Head Nurse from heaven! Joe, the Maintenance Manager, is always kind and willing to help. Eric, Raphael, Jerry, and Clarence are the hardworking bunch from the Housekeeping who have worked diligently to keep this old facility clean and comfortable every day. Kudos to them! The one-of-a-kind Asian Department, led by Grace, helps my mom feel at ease and loved. The staff work hard to make sure the elderly are comfortable. I am especially indebted to Lillian and Amy, who have consistently shown my mother and other residents their remarkable kindness, patience, and compassion. They truly are the unsung heroes!!! The food from the kitchen is actually not awful, as some of the reviews have suggested. On the contrary, the food is quite delicious. Both the American and Asian-style dishes are tasty, fresh, and comparable to good homemade cooking (after all, this is not a Michelin-starred restaurant). You can tell that the chefs put their hearts and souls into preparing these meals. I hope my mom will continue to live comfortably at Echelon, a facility that runs by caring, respectful, and dedicated people--including the front desk staff and the Activities Department! Thank you all for what you do!!! ”™Sky I do agree with the other reviewers that the potholes in the parking lot need to be repaired and that the facility could benefit from significant updates, especially the Dayroom on the 2nd floor!

1. This place is dated & falling apart. Wires sticking out of the walls, electric sockets with half way in the wall looking like someone punched the wall in room 508 A. 2. The food is severed most of the time Lupe warm, Coffee tastes days old & usually Lupe warm. I call it prison food. 3. The agency they get their weekend nurses from are rude & horrible, waited over 2hrs for pain meds on a Sunday evening. They also hv no bedside manner, act as if your bothering them if you need anything. 4. I loved the weekday nurses & nurse aids. Millie & Jahar are amazing nurses & are always helpful & care about you as a patient. The Nurse Aids,: Margie,Rose are very nice & always willing to go out of their way to help you. The Head nurse Jackie is also very nice. 5. Layla the D.O.A. is very nice and helped me a lot while I was there. Also Grace I believe she is HR is very very sweet always made sure to come n check on me when she came in to see if I needed anything. She'd often personally go to the kitchen n bring me my dinner to make sure it was what I ordered. 6. Overall I do believe this place needs a lot of help with repairs & better weekend nurses & aids that will care about their patients & not just making the $$. I did hear yrs ago it used to be a good place before they sold it to Echelon. I was there for a week from the 7th of February to th.e 14th of February. Had a total hip replacement surgery on the 5th of February.. I left due to lack of care from the latenight Crew nurse aids.

My daughter stayed at Echelon for two weeks in their short term sub acute rehab section. Most importantly, the staff was competent, warm and eager to work out any glitches in care. Special shout outs to Delaney, Jackie, Sharon and Janelle on the fifth floor, Judy and Michaela in PT who got her walking, Jill who helped us with special dietary needs, Mahogany, our social worker and the smiling personable people doing transport and maintenance. Also Grace, the heart and soul of this facility. On the down side, the physical setting is old and in need of renovation. The elevators need an upgrade and the parking lot was treacherous in the recent snowy.icy weather. Being in rehab is difficult. The caring people at Echelon made a positive difference in my daughter’s stay!

My mother has been a resident at Echelon for about a year. She began her journey on the 5th Floor, also known as The Presidential Suite, and it truly lived up to its name. The atmosphere was bright, kind, friendly, and simply grand. After she completed respite care for a few months, I felt confident and at peace making the decision to transition her into full-time residency. After being there permanently for a few months, my mom was moved to the Memory Loss Unit. (Mom has dementia) From time to time, we experienced a few minor issues, but they were always addressed and resolved quickly. Even so, I continued visiting several days a week. As I developed relationships and friendships with the staff, my comfort level grew tremendously. You can genuinely feel that the staff truly loves my mother, and as a daughter, that means everything. A few months ago, we were blessed to meet Ana”my mother’s nurse’s aide”and from that moment on, everything changed for the better. Ana is truly a Godsend. She has far exceeded every expectation I could have ever imagined when it comes to my mother’s care. Because of Ana, I sleep well at night. She has given me a true sense of peace and relaxation, knowing my mother is not just cared for, but genuinely loved. My mom is always clean, dressed in fresh clothes, with her hair done, nails done, and looking well cared for”and so are Ana’s other patients. Ana’s professionalism, consistency, kindness, and loving heart shine through in everything she does. She makes all the difference for me and my family. There are also some truly amazing aides and nurses on the 3rd Floor whom I absolutely adore. While I may not remember everyone’s name, please know that my appreciation is shown and felt. The care on that floor is exceptional. Thank you, Ana, and thank you to the entire 3rd Floor Team for all that you do for my mother. Your compassion, dedication, and love do not go unnoticed. Echelon is truly blessed to have caregivers like you.

Placing a parent in a long term facility is such an arduous decision to make and choosing the right one even more difficult. As in our mother’s case when she was initially at another institution where we had so many problems that led to her rapid physical and mental decline. Then luckily, our search for a better place for her led us to Echelon and now we’re content. Look past the building that can use updating yes, but the warmth and dedication of the staff it houses is commendable. Their unwavering commitment to their patients and residents’ well being has not gone unnoticed and has positively impacted our mother’s plight. She now joins social activities, looks forward to their daily sitting exercises, her demeanor much improved, if only she eats better. And they’re on top of things, with calls or texts to give us updates and even send us pictures, our questions and concerns addressed. Kudos to the staff of the second floor led by the energetic and compassionate Grace Kong, also Anita, Michelle and the rest, thank you for what you do! All the best to Echelon in its future endeavors!

I would like to express my gratitude to the staff and management at Echelon Care and Rehab, specially to Grace for the excellent care they provide to my mother. From the process of transferring her from the other facility to Echelon and moment she arrived, she has been treated with respect, kindness, and genuine compassion. The caregivers are attentive and patient, making sure her daily needs are met while also giving her comfort and dignity. I especially appreciate the way the nursing staff communicates with our family, keeping us updated on her health and wellbeing. It gives us peace of mind to know that she is in such capable hands. The facility itself is well-kept, safe, and welcoming, though the elevator need some improvements. The activities and social engagement opportunities have had a very positive impact on her mood and overall quality of life. It is clear that the staff goes above and beyond to create not just a care environment, but a home. Thank you to everyone at Echelon Care and Rehab most specially to Grace K. for her dedication and professionalism. Knowing that my mother is cared for with such compassion means the world to our family.

I experienced "above and beyond care" from this facility and its staff. While I was facing a life-threatening condition, the staff more than met all my needs with a tremendously positive attitude. Special recognition should go to Antonio, J, Sharon, and Julie on the 5th floor, the PT staff, Alicia RN and Mahoghany. I hope to never have to be back, but if i needed to I would always choose Echelon.

I extend my deepest gratitude to Grace K at Echelon Care & Rehab Center in Voorhees, NJ, for her exceptional hospitality and meticulous care during my mother’s first short respite stay. The staff’s professionalism, kindness, and unwavering dedication made the experience truly remarkable. My mother found great comfort in conversing with someone who spoke her Cantonese dialect and appreciated the nurturing Asian community within the facility. A special thanks to Julie and the dedicated staff for their tireless efforts. Their commitment and attentiveness did not go unnoticed, and we are sincerely grateful for their care. Without hesitation, we will entrust Echelon Care with our future needs. My heartfelt appreciation goes to the entire team including both the second and fifth floors for their exceptional service and compassionate caregiving. That said, while the care and support were outstanding, the dated facility itself could benefit from infrastructure improvements, including renovations, medical equipment upgrades, and enhancements to parking, elevators, and technology.

My husband is a client at Echelon Rehab and he was not happy about being anywhere but home. The staff is so accommodating and they do everything they can to take care of his needs. They are always there to assist him. The therapist and nurses answer all questions and encourage him. And the food is actually pretty good, if I say so myself. There is a friendly atmosphere here that makes it conducive to healing. The entire staff starting at the reception area to housekeeping and maintenance should be applauded for making this a place where your health can be restored.
