My 97 year old mom spent 2 weeks in rehab after being hospitalizedher mission was to regain her independence in self care etc before going home. The entire staff was truly committed to getting her there with intense PT/OT every day.and they did! She was ready to go home in 2 weeks! The facility was clean, food mediocre at best but her care goals were exceeded and her mission was accomplished! Thank you Care One!

My 87-year-old grandpa had dementia so we decided to try out careone at Valley and it brightens his smile and he looks so much healthier now he looked very sick and I was getting very nervous for his health, but since putting him in this assisted living, not only has his health skyrocketed, but his skin is glowing and he just seems like a so much happier and brighter person 100% recommend this assistant living for anyone in need. CareOne in Westwood NJ Rehab Facility Wonderful, considerate and compassionate staff from the person who greets you to the team that keeps the facility hygienic and tidy. Management is very attentive to the family and residents’ needs. The nurses and care givers are thoughtful and attentive. The Staff who provide many activities each day make the experience while residents are rehabbing pleasant with their wonderful upbeat attitudes. The Physical Therapy staff are extremely professional and work closely with each resident in addressing their needs. My Dad was there a year or so ago, and when they asked me what facility I wanted him to go for rehab, when he was being released from the hospital, without hesitation, I told them CareOne in Westwood. Having experience of caring for both of my parents, my family and I are more than pleased to see the gentle, professional and caring ways the entire staff attended to my Dad while he was at the CareOne Westwood facility. I would highly recommend this facility to others!!

When your mother falls down and needs a facility like Care One at Valley it can be pretty scary...for her and for her family, but you guys have gone above and beyond for my mom, Virginia. On every level you made her and I feel safe and informed. In a bind, (my future mother in-law Diana, had just left another rehab, which she didn't like), we were seeking a rehab place after a few falls and a week long stay in a hospital. I called Care One in Westwood, left message and within two minutes, Caryn Cantello, who is the administrator at CareOne at Valley called back. Telling her of our disposition, as we pulled in, Caryn welcomed us at the door. Caryn and her staff were above and beyond friendly, helping us with our admission into their facility. Caryn personally showed us to her room, where she will be for a couple days. From the moment, Diana arrived at their facilities, she felt at ease, that this place is where she wanted to be. I wanted to personally thank Caryn, and her staff for making this an enjoyable experience.

My mother in law came to Care 1 after she had 3 pins in her hip after her operation at Hackensack Hoslpital. Her care there has been outstanding since she arrived. The staff is very caring and always available to help in many ways. She is always clean and has been able with help to take showers. The PT always treats her with kindness letting her know what they are going to do. They are very transparent with the family giving us update on her progress. The food is excellent and always looks appetizing. There is plenty of activities to attend. The facility is very clean. I feel that this is a caring facility I am very happy that my mother in law has been able to go there to mend before she returns home.

My Mom’s stay at CareOne at Valley was exceptional. In order to not leave anyone out, I will not single anyone out by name, but everyone went above and beyond to make her comfortable while there. From the orderlies and nursing staff to the speech therapists and dietician's, they were all attentive and offering help before it was needed. If we did need help, they were the press of a button away and never seemed too busy or bothered. Always coming in with a smile and often a what do you need mom/love etc. Mom is a trachea patient with trouble communicating, but the staff always took the patience let her write down her concern, text to talk on her app or literally just read her own version of sign that she makes up on the fly to get her points across. We hope she never needs in patient again, but if she does, Care One at Valley is where she would want to go. Attached is a white board note Mom wrote to me while still there.

I have to express my heartfelt gratitude to the entire team at Care one in Westwood. My mom was transferred there after a week long hospital stay at Valley hospital following a serious car accident in. June 2024. I am a nurse so my expectations are high.. From the moment we arrived ,we felt welcome and reassured. John A genuinely loves what he does and truly cares about all the of the residents in the Care one facility. His detail oriented professionalism and the speed at which he gets things done is impressive. Joanne Stitch the nurse educator, is leading the team, and providing expert nursing care to the patients. She and Caryn Cantillo, the administrator made sure after three long weeks the discharge was handled seamlessly. They checked in with me weekly to make sure we had everything we needed . Dr. Eric Svensson was her doctor , who is the doctor at care one, was always rounding on my mom and making sure she was getting the right pain meds etc He would spend time just a talking to her and explains the plan of carafe and what she needed to do to get better . Every time I’d walk down the hall, i always received a smile from staff. The medical staff was attentive and thorough , ensuring that my mom received the best possible treatment.The physical therapy room was maybe a llittle small but my mom loving going there. All the therapists were happy and cheerful and really pushed the patients to work hard, laughing all the way. The facility itself was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, creating a positive environment conducive to healing. AT one point the a/c broke in her room and Caryn and Joanne made sure she got an extra air conditioner until it was fixed. The administrator is not afraid to get right into providing patient care. The nurses were all friendly and wonderful with my mom. The nurses aides, especially Yvette went above and beyond, making her feel comfortable showering her and assisting her with bathroom duties. The dietician himself also came to visit my mom and review the menu, since my mom is very picky with her meals. He ammended the menu to her liking. We are incredibly grateful fro the excellent care and support provided during this challenging time . Thank you for making a difficult situation more manageable with your outstanding service .

I have never been at a rehab facility as a patient before and I have to say I'm happy I went to Care One at Valley in Westwood, NJ. My wound nurse Glenda who took care of my wound was absolutely amazing! Three days a week she took great care of my leg wound to where I recovered quickly and without worry. LPN Gaby was one of several nurses who took amazing care of me and my well being. Any slightest issue I had she addressed right away with 100 percent satisfaction. I wish I could remember names but the PT staff are outstanding in their field! Not only did they help me get stronger but what I witnessed will forever live in my heart. The way they treated all their patients with respect, dedication, to provide such positive influence and encouragement really showed on the faces of every patient . The see the faces of the elderly with wide smiles really told me I was in the right place to recover. I cant say enough good things about my social worker Krystal. Whenever I had something that needed attention I was able to contact her and she addressed it right away. As of today as I write this review she still keeps in touch to see how I am doing, now that is RESPECT. The food was too good to be true! The meals where plentiful and filled my appetite. The chef and his staff where always there if I needed anything and they made sure I was satisfied. If I had any concerns they addressed it right away. It was great to eat healthy. The maintenance department staff and Environmental Services staff are top notch. Seeing them maintaining my room, hallways and grounds showed how proud they are in their services and how well they took such great care of the patients. I like to think I made many few friends while being a patient here. In closing I would like to thank the Care One Administration for having all these amazing employees operate this facility and cant thank you enough for having them take such great care of me soI can recover safely and quickly. You have a friend for life!!

My mother recently stayed at CareOne after she was initially hospitalized and unable to walk. My family and I cannot thank the staff enough at CareOne for an amazing experience. Caryn helped ensure my mother’s smooth transition from the hospital to the facility. We must also give special recognition to Yve and Yolanda from the nursing department who provided exceptional care, going above and beyond to ensure my mother’s comfort and recovery. Espy, was also friendly and compassionate and always made our family feel welcome. The occupational therapists and physical therapists, Laura & Rani, made all the difference to get my mother back on her feet again and confidently able to use her walker. Their passion, words of encouragement and continued support were truly instrumental in her progress. Michael, the speech therapist, worked closely with my mother to assess her needs and always took time to stop by and chat with my mom. Brandon, in activities, was also amazing. He was enthusiastic about the daily activities and would always try to get my mom out and about. Finally we’d like to thank Ed in dietary. The meals were always top notch and fresh. There are so many other great staff members at CareOne that I am sure I am missing. Thank you to everyone for making my mother’s stay there a positive experience! My family and I are truly grateful for your hard work and dedication.

Rough environment. No one answers the phone, very few staff to tend to loved one, and they will shuffle the patients from room to room. Doesn’t offer a resting environment, the sounds of call bells are always ringing, no one turns them off often. The facility is nice for the most part and they do a good job at keeping smells minimized. The staff is very nice with the exclusion of 2-3 people that are really rude to family and the patients. They do peek in often at night to check the patients which is nice, but they are too short staffed to be effective. By mid-day the rude staff is ever present and are annoyed at simple request from patients. Not a 5 star facility like the insure company rated at all. I’d take my loved one someplace else if possible.

This review is long overdue! I want to take this time to thank ALL the amazing staff for the kind and exceptional care they provided for my father. From the moment he entered the facility, he was greeted with compassion and understanding which put him at ease as well as myself. His room was bright, spacious and most importantly it was spotless! They also made sure that my mother and I were comfortable during our daily visits, by offering us a chair to sit or something to drink. My father stayed only for a short while to recover from having major surgery. The physical therapists knew exactly what to do. They worked within his limits with great encouragement and provided both physical and emotional support! I could not have asked for better care during this very difficult time in my fathers life. Unfortunately we've had to deal with many rehabilitation facilities for my Mom and once we found CareOne there's absolutely nowhere else we would go now. The doctor, nurses, aides and social workers are all fantastic. The nurses are truly at the top of their game and I feel blessed to have those aides and caregivers looking after and taking care of Mom at all times. They're attentive, informative and genuinely caring in a manner we hadn't experienced at any other facility. Located right next door to Pascack Valley hospital they would be an excellent first choice if you ever needed their services.
