I want to visit an old friend. I called first since I wanted to make sure I was going to the right nursing home. The person who answered the phone was just as friendly. When I arrived, she remembered speaking to me on the phone and that made me feel good. As I was walking down the hall, I did not notice the same scent that I usually smell in nursing home that makes me want to cut my visit short. It smelled clean and the rooms one nice.

My mom was there more than a year because of dementia. The staff were great, always had activities for the patients. Got her out of bed every day and took great care of her.

They seem to be treating my buddy Kenny pretty well. I'll change the review if necessary, when he is discharged after 8 weeks of rehab. His room is clean, and they appear to be well staffed. Getting anybody to open the door is tough.

It has been an emotional transition from home, to hospital, to nursing facility, for our Mother, but the Widows Home of Dayton, with their attentive care and kindness with Mom and the family as a whole, has made the process easier to deal with.

My mother was at the Widow’s Home for a month. She had stage 4 liver cancer and the skilled nursing staff couldn’t have treated my mother any better. Some one from our family was there from 8:30 in the morning until 8 or 9 at night so we know how good she was treated. I am so great full for the care that mom was given. Good job staff.

My mom's been at the Widows Home for a year this month. She has Alzheimer's, and I transferred her here from Woodglen; best thing I could have done. Much cleaner and nicer place all the way around. The staff seem much happier here, a big plus. The food is much better, the place is cleaner, and there's more sunlight. There is a smaller mixed population, and the residents who are able seem to look out for each other. Mom seems happier and fits in well. I'd highly recommend the Widows Home.

My mother was transferred there after falling for rehab. She really needed a new hip, but medicaid isn't helping. The care she got during rehab, convinced me that this was a good place for her to stay. She has dementia- and they don't segregate the dementia/alzheimers patients- so it's a more normal environment. She seems to be doing well, the staff is very helpful, the place is clean, and I've been very happy with the care she's received.
