The Westerly West Is Home!.When I moved there I saw old neighbors or lady friends. On one side of me. We worked same restaurant. Than I visited a lady 25 yrs ago. I believe it was meant to be God works in mysterious ways. All employees at Barton center go above and beyond for activities and lecturers. R arts and crafts alot of elders enjoy. For Memorial day we have a pot luck. Than we have a cook out. Alot to be Grateful on Memorial day for all the men and women who fought for. Country! The Land Of The FREE. GOD BLESS AMERICA!

This is not an assisted living facility at all. Many think it is. It is independent living and I have been here close to 13 years and I like it.

I've recently rented an apartment here. Along with the Barton center there is a full calendar of events. The apartments vary and should not be a problem finding an apartment perfect for you. There is garden space available, Hearing Specialist, a podiatrist, a beautician, a small "store" for milk, bread and several other needs, a resale shop, and a book store. So much in this complex of 3 buildinfs.

I take care of my sister, even though she’s older than I am. She’s charmingly much younger in many ways. The Westerly has been terrific.. not only to her as a tenant, but to me as a caregiver. It’s safe, it’s fun. It’s socially interacting, that’s all the things that I want for her as a brother, and all that she wants in a 55 and over community.

It's a good place to live, Although can be more improved. Staff is ok, Improving. Apartment themselves good.. This is a independent place, Maintenance are limited what they can do but ok. Maintenance cannot lift and help residents with heavy objects NO MORE, That's up to us Seniors 55+ I guess we are still young enough to LIFT, The Rents keep going up: so does everything else but it's ok.

I have lived here for four years and never had much trouble till the past year or so . I have seen roaches in the laundry room, hallways, elevators, and my apartment and trash room. I lived in apartment for 11years before I came to the Westerly and never had roaches and they never sprayed our apartments either. So there is something they are doing wrong here because we are not getting rid of them. They have someone spray but haven't seen them in awhile. Don't know what's going on.but it's ridiculous.

I live here. Cheap rent, its Hud Housing. All utilities are included in rent. Cable is $15.00 a month. Only get 1 parking place. There are approximately 500 people here with 3 buildings. Detroit Ave and Marlow. 2-1-2024 the rent went up $50.00.

Well I went to see my friends new place and find the phone jack for her. Would you believe they have no phone jacks where she lives. The place is nice and she's happy she has a place to live. I told her to get in touch with her phone company and they will install it. 14300 building.

Not overly impressed with staff or common area upkeep and cleanliness. However they do seem to be affordable and in a convenient downtown Lakewood location.

My mom lives here and has for about 10 years. She is very happy here. I believe it's 55 or older only and there is a pretty good size waiting list. But it is definitely worth the wait. Rent is low, all utilities included and maintenance comes quickly

Nice clean friendly elderly assisting living facility apartments. There's a library, bookstore and even a beauty shop for men and women. Elevator Super fast. Parking spaces limited. Vending machines. No peep holes on doors to look out if someone knocks. A very secured place.

Been living here for ten years and have enjoyed the people and the staff. Very friendly and helpful and there's always activities to keep me busy and volunteer opportunities that have given me a chance to meet the residents and make new friends. The rent is reasonable and includes all utilities except cable and phone and all the apartments have been remodeled.
