Village Care of King is a top notch rehab facility. The staff is welcoming, and the care they offer surpasses any rehab facility I have visited while taking care of my 90-year-old mother. The food was good, and the rooms are clean. I highly recommend this facility.

I have taken a long time to do this, however, I wanted to say the right thing and not mislead anyone. I had a total knee replacement revision done in March 2026 and had to go to a nursing home/rehab center for 6 weeks of IV antibiotics. I chose Village Care due to good reports from people and personal due diligence. The nursing staff, maintenance staff, housekeeping, dietary, and management were all considered. They all helped me and made my stay there special and memorable. I had special issues and specialized training and knowledge that were considered and allowed me to be active in my care and outcomes. The rehab staff was very important in my recovery and made me recover faster and better than last time I had a knee replacement. I have recommended VC to many people and will always recommend them for nursing home and rehab needs. God sent me there and the staff made me glad for the decision and I would go there again should I need their services.

Edit: I contact the complaince # and reported my concerns. Including giving an antibiotic longer than warranted to a patient with history of secondary infection from antibiotics. **** Facility closed report without any communication. **** Edit to include nursing and Director of nursing called My mother by another patients name twice. Makes you wonder if they got medicine and meals mixed up too. I am a nurse and went in knowing they have a lot of patients and care would not be excellent but they didn't have to do much for mom and being reminded everyday and still not doing what they were supposed to is scary***My mother was sent to this facility for rehab. The physical therapist and occupational therapist were "5" star. My mother stayed for 1 week after a new diagnosis of Congestive Heart failure and multiple falls. It was stressed to her and on her admission orders for a cardiac diet 2gm sodium or she could get fluid overloaded again. All of her meals were regular diet with salt, saltine crackers BBQ seasoned salty food I tasted. Told multiple staff members and the director of nursing and nothing changed. Weighing everyday is critical for CHF they weigh once a week. Director of Nursing did not follow up after her zoom meeting when I went to express my concerns. Also she was given medication twice a day up until discharge that should have been completed 5 days prior and I told the nurse 3 days prior to leaving do not give that to her anymore and they proceeded with it. Very disappointed.

My MIL was there for several months. She was falling a lot at her assisted living facility, and had broken a hip. We were all worried about her continuing to fall because she is extremely stubborn and often refuses to follow doctor's orders, no matter how much we beg, reason, or threaten. Sure enough, she fell, and bashed her face in, but between pt, nursing staff and family we were able to finally get her strong enough to move around on her own without hurting herself again. She had to be coaxed everyday to participate in physical therapy, sundowned after 3pm. She often called people confused, and put her phone on airplane mode so no one could call her back. The staff were very patient with our repeated calls asking someone to check on her and fix her phone. They all helped us keep her focused on her discharge goal, with a big calendar to mark off the days. She was difficult as a patient, but the staff kept a great attitude, yet didn't let her get away with too much slacking off. I think pushing a patient to do the work like this is exactly what you need in a rehab facility.

I was in a bad car wreck and I had a 30 day Nov 8-Dec 8 2024 stay at village care after being at Baptist for 8 days. I had a fractured back/cracked ribs and my right ankle was severely swollen and locked up. I couldn't bare any weight on it. The rehab department was AMAZING! They got my ankle unlocked and got 90% of the swelling out of it and showed me how to keep the swelling down. I truely appreciate all the (Ladies) and (Walter) lol in rehab for their care and pushing me so I can walk again. They really care about their patients and go above and beyond to help you! The nurses were Caring and Great also! The only possible negative thing I can say was the food was hit or miss but I also wasn't that hungry from being so banged up from the wreck. I really had my doubts about going there for rehab but I'm soooo Thankful I did! Thank you Everyone in Rehab and all the Nurses!!!

I was at Village Care of King 3/14/24-5-5-24. My daughter suggested I go there after a bad car accident. It was the best decision ever! I went in with a broken C7 in my neck, still wearing a brace. Six broken ribs, a huge surgical cast from repairing my crushed ankle, two plates and nine screws and three pins in my heel bone. I was a mess! They worked with me daily in their rehab room to push me to succeed. I could not have asked for a kinder staff. The facility was extremely clean and every one was always cheerful and positive. I came home in a cast but I was fully prepared todo what had to be done at home. I left the rehab fully independent. I walked with a cane for about six weeks and have continued to improve. I am certain without my daughter’s persistence to get me there I would never have recovered so quickly. When I had to leave it was bittersweet. I honestly enjoyed the peace and tranquility and privacy of their rooms. I would recommend this facility to anyone needing rehabilitation. Fast forward seven months. My dad was hospitalized for sepsis from a kidney infection. I was physically able to stay with him there and make sure he was ok. I do not think I could have navigated the hospital everyday had I not recovered so well. I was very confident dropping him off there yesterday to get his strength built. The staff feels like old friends and extended family. I highly recommend this place.

Was at this facility for 2 months. Went there after a stroke and brain bleed. When I arrived I could not ev n sit up on the bed or talk. They took good care of me. Kept me clean and cared for. The rehad people were very dedicated and stayed with me. Miss Beverly and Stephanie were my main caregivers. My rehab was hard but they helped me. When I left I could talk, walk on my walker and had gained my strength back. Still at my home in therapy. Could not beat the care or service I received there. Wonderful care and people. I was released from Village Care of King today after spending two weeks there for rehab after a fall. I would strongly recommend against going there or putting a loved one in their care. Currently, the facility is out dated, with old hospital beds and out dated equipment. They are severely understaffed, resulting in extremely low employee morale. I listened to staff loudly complaining about working double shifts, other staff members simply not showing up for work and management being unsupportive. I heard staff members loudly talking about residents, violating HIPPA policies. Many of the patients in the physical rehabilitation wing should have been assigned to memory care. I witnessed residents falling out of beds because they did not understand where they were or why. There were residents looking for family members or sitting in rooms, withdrawn and staring at the ceiling. Unfortunately, the result is cutting corners, leaving unsanitary conditions in bathrooms and patient rooms. I walked into a shared bathroom to find feces on the floor and commode. When nurses were called for assistance it was not uncommon to wait over 10 minutes for a response. I was at Village Care for two weeks. It took the majority of that time arguing with them to finally get my regular medications correct. Even when I left, there were still two medications that were not dispensed according to my non-, emergency provider instructions. The food is substandard. Most of it is frozen items that are simply heated and served. Much of the food is high in sodium and fat. Almost every breakfast included sausage, bacon and/or eggs. Personally, I rarely ate more than a third of the food served. There are staff who truly care and try their best to make residents comfortable but they are few and far between. I chose Village Care because they were four star rated and close to home. Don't make the same mistake if you prioritize your own health or that of your loved one.

This is our experience ONLY with the Rehab area. We had no interaction with any other area. My Mom went here straight from the hospital for rehab prior to going home. I went and took a tour 1st to make sure that I was hopefully getting a good place for her to go. First she was put on isolation for 8 days to make sure she was Covid free, even though she was thoroughly tested at the hospital and arrived from the hospital by ambulance. I was made aware of this and was assured that she would receive therapy in her room daily until she was out of isolation. Then she would go to the gym. It turned out that she had very little of any kind of therapy in her room except walking to the other bed, bathroom or door and back to bed once a day, and that only started after she had already been there 5 days. The only day she was taken to the gym and walked any further was the day I was told her insurance was saying she had to leave the following day and I put in an appeal. They needed to do an assessment so she finally went to the gym. The appeal did not go through and she really didn't want to stay there any longer. After getting her home and realizing how weak she really was she agreed she should have stayed and we made calls back to them at Village Care that went unreturned. During the 2 weeks that she was there I could get no doctor, no nurse, no therapist to call me to answer questions I had. I asked numerous times in the front office and when we had our plan of care "meeting " to have someone call me to no avail. I am her legal medical power of attorney and could get nothing from them concerning her medications or therapy. After considering all of this after we got her home, we decided to pursue another place to send her to get the care she needed. I would never want to put her back in there and basically pay for no help. Now, on a positive note. The CNA's, etc. that dealt with Mama on a regular daily basis were mostly super people that really seemed to care. They were kind and patient. No complaints for them or their work ethic.

When you call for someone to take you to the bathroom you can plan on waiting for 30 to 45 minutes. Also if you don't want to take one of the medications you could get screamed at by a nurse. Also that you could die if you don't take it and that wasn't true. Omg, don't get me started on the food. I got a tuna sandwich that had a teaspoon of tuna in the middle of the bread. I lost 46 pounds in 3 weeks!
