I would rate this less than zero, however, it won't allow it. I have lived in this community for 16 months and find it to be one of the worst environments to live in. We are currently on our third park manager who is just filling in until they can find the next victim. Calls to the manager, as well as the Regional Manager, [name removed] go unanswered. She refuses to answer questions relating to the park like 1) When are you going to fix all the pot holes? 2) When are you going to put a fence around the dog park so the dogs in the community will quit running around without owner or leashes and not deficate or urinate on other owners property? 3) When do you expect a new park manager? 4) When is the park going to do pest treatment for all of the pest that we see on the grounds? 5) When is the out of control park grounds for fire prevention going to be trimmed? 6) When does the park plan on having the water lines within code so that when the water lines continue to break (and they will and they do often) they don't have to drain the entire system and leave us without water while they repair it? There is absolutely noone around to help you, answer questions or take care of anything in the park that isn't affiliated with the small golf course that hardly anyone uses but they spend so much time on. Whomever is in charge of this place ([name removed]?) should be fired immediately. Don't come here, don't waste your time or money, you will be very disappointed. We are looking to sale and get the heck out. They are just making it as hard as possible.

We have lived in this community for 12 years. We currently rent a unit. We have never asked for anything other than what was supposed to be given to us. When our water heat heater went out they gave us a new one when our air conditioner broke they fixed it. But today when we called them because our sink was backed up after 3 o'clock in the afternoon and their maintenance man had gone home for the evening we could not get any service and we're told we had to wait until Monday to haven't looked at. Because our schedule didn't match for tomorrow and could not get him in our home when we were not home. We were told that we had to rearrange our schedule To match the maintenance man's schedule so we could have our drain looked at.

I lived here for 2 years but had to sell. I loved the park and my beautiful home. My only concern was that the park rent was going up and it was more than I could afford. I want to retire and will need to budget for the future. Otherwise I would not have moved. Danielle the property manager is delightful and always helpful when I had any questions.

My husband and I were delighted when we found our home in the Highland on Brentwood, two years ago. We signed a lease stated we understood the age restriction was for retirees 55 years of age or younger. After 2 years, I can tell you that people of every age range are allowed. And the way that works is like this: if someone owns a home here, they may rent or lease the property to anyone. Now they've changed the age to 45 years and older. I find this unacceptable. There is a gentleman who has had the police to his property for shots fired and the man frequently overdoses on some substance and the paramedics & police come. He used to have teenagers running around and a 2 year old child was left unattended and it wandered onto a neighbor's property. If something goes wrong with the sewer system, the resident is obliged to pay as much as $6000 to have their sewage system repaired on your site, even though you do not own the property on which your home sits. Before you purchase, I suggest you talk to the residents who live here.

You need to be very careful with the dishonest management. They over charged me, a single home owner, for 9,000 gallons of sewer I DID NOT USE. They say that is customary, when it says right on my bill I used less than 1,000. This made my rent go up over $10 a month for 6 months but they say they do it to people for over a year. They lie and say they are establishing an average when it says on the bill EXACTLY WHAT I used. The regional office in Phoenix supports this form of elder abuse. This multi million dollar company will extort money from you anyway they can. I make $19,000 a year and the rent is almost $900 a month. It increases EVERY YEAR $30+ .( I was told it would go up $26.) So you just can't trust them. Within, my first year lease my site tax went up 3 times, property tax went up, trash went up and they do NOTHING TO IMPROVE THEIR PROPERTIES YOU "RENT". They send us notices to weed their properties yet the shuffleboard court is covered in weeds, as well as the pool area. The management is hard to work with and their "go to answer" is : We are working on it. However, the laundry door has been "out of order" for over 2 years and it is dangerous to go to the back door through the car wash. Holes in the roads, the road to the recycle area is so bad your car may bottom out and there is no lighting after dark. Very dangerous to walk there. I have fought for over a year for them to repay me for the sewer I did not use, but was charged for. THEY REFUSE. The sewer in the park is not owned by the city and is always backing up. The kitchen in the clubhouse is something from the 1940's. (And be careful what you find in the cupboards, yuk!)They don't care about the park just the money. We have many renters and people younger than 55. Before this management it was a 5 star park, now it is a 2. The maintenance people are not qualified to fix anything unless I could do it, hence, the laundry room door. Don't bother asking questions, you'll be lied to. I WAS. The pond in the advertisement is false advertising. There is no fountain, just weeds and green muck. There are no flags at the entrance, and just a few Pansies in a couple flower pots. Some are just used for cigarette butts and trash. Oh and there are cigarette butts all over the place. Makes me sick. I don't even know any of the peoples "5 star" reviews. They probably don't live in here. I know Leonard Harrow doesn't live in here and was only here 2 years. I bought his house. Some of these golf course photos are not our golf course. See what I mean about dishonest?trust? This is what the office looks like close up. It should give you some idea of how the rest of the park is cared for. I don't even know these people writing reviews. But many keep moving out. Manager has no idea what is going on in this "trailer Park". Carports are filled with junk, weeds and palm debris all over the place, roads full of holes. Just look for yourself. FIRST TO PHOTOS ARE THE ROAD IN FRONT OF OFFICE , 2ND TWO PHOTOS ARE THE POND UNDER THIS MANAGEMENT. NOTICE NO FOUNTAINS JUST TRASH.

Keep in mind when you're looking to buy or rent here. All of their pipes ** contain lead **. As in the drinking water, shower, dishwasher, washer and dryer, and everything that has a pipe. The reason I gave it and extra star is because there are lots of friendly people here.

When I purchased a home in here I thought the fact that living in a community with other older people that they would have the same respect and consideration for my privacy and my property I believe I show for them. Surprise! First off, 55 plus does not mean just 55 plus. They allow younger individuals including what appear to be teens to live here. There are individuals here who also have no respect or consideration for the space that I pay for. By that I mean that I pay rent for the space around my home (a space that I care for) and the space it sits on. There are neighbors that do not respect or choose to ignore "my space" and my privacy. I've had many cross over, shortcut through and walk their dogs and let them do their business on my rented space. Even after confronting a couple of other residents they still cross through my space. Its just inconsiderate as well as ignorant on their part. I guess age doesn't always come with respect, consideration or common sense. I guess self centered, inconsiderate people will always be that way.
