Reviews Philip Murray House

Philip Murray House 1 is a good place for senior house living. They provide on site laundry and excellent trash disposal service. The employees are friendly and there are many events and amenities that are offered. I recommend living here. Maintenance and upkeep is excellent and it is a very peaceful place to live. We are only one block away from Broad St. and Stenton / Godfrey Aves. Where it is convenient to find stores and necessary locations such as the US Post office. For commuters the 55 and 22 bus run on Old York Road right outside the gate and Broad Street is only a block away where you can catch the 16 bus to take you to the Broad and Olney Transportation Center. It is somewhat convenient for those on foot living in a better, safer area such as here in Ogontz/West Oak Lane. For those who are blessed mommy got up and walk away a vehicle there is ample parking in the gated community

It's an ok place to live..I feel bad for some of the seniors there. Their over priced hospital style rooms, some are lucky to have subsidized rents. Nothing much to do there. Some have to pay for shared rides to get them anywhere. Their's no group day trips to go on to keep the seniors busy, occupied or to get fresh air. It has been many case's of bed bugs, roaches and mice. It also seems to be under staff.

Very strict about getting into the building but that is what security is about. Apartments seem very nice. Government subsidized for the elderly.

I love the Phillip Murray house for my mother. It's really a nice place. The only issue I have is with Khalil. I guess he's a supervisor of the guards. He's very rude and tries to intimidate you with his large stature. Never smiles and he just seems annoyed all the time. Always on his phone and he's just plain ole ignorant!!

I phoned the Philip Murray House and Hakim politely answered, patiently listened and provided important information. I've attended the 35th Police District's TownHall meetings in the past and the community room is spacious and staff there are professional and knowledgeable.

I went to see it for the first time because it was said to be a senior citizen's apartment, and I thought it was a good apartment because it was a hotel turned into an apartment, so the house was spacious, each room had a separate living room, kitchen, toilet, and lots of storage space. It was really comfortable and clean.
